They got my daughters claim 6/02 rang yesterday and was told it probably won't be looked at till mid may 🤷🙈

CheesePlease33 · 14/03/2023 21:06

My renewal ends 28th March. They received forms 3rd Jan . I called this afternoon and my renewal isn't even with a DM yet. The lady told me it probably won't get looked at till a few days before it ends. If it gets rejected, how are you supposed to prepare for a MR once the claim has ended? Do they backdate the claim to the date it ended f they change their decision??

L0ts · 14/03/2023 21:30

Scan date 19/12, just parking myself on the new thread so I get updates! Good luck everybody ❤️

my sons renewals ends on the 28th also my scan dates was 24/11 and mines still not with dm either… I’m starting to panic now and my carers also runs out as well

CheesePlease33 · 14/03/2023 22:51

@Boymom10 it's so frustrating isn't it!! My last renewal 2 years ago was awarded 6 weeks before it ran out. I've heard a lot of renewals are being rejected so fingers crossed for us both

Boymom10 · 14/03/2023 23:05

@CheesePlease33 oh no don’t say that 😢 I’m really starting to panic and doubt myself on what I have written and evidence. Yes my sons was 2 years ago aswell. I heard a good month before it was due to end. It’s not fair to leave it right to the last minute. I might ring tomorrow but I called Friday and it wasn’t with a dm then..

ADHDMummaBear · 14/03/2023 23:12

Scan date 5/12 still not heard but wondering whether to call in the morning as it seems lots have heard around now…. Very nervous & keeping everything crossed.

Matilda142 · 15/03/2023 00:37

Scan date of 28/11 and just seen a Dla payment in my bank account! What a relief, good luck to everyone else waiting. I'm on universal credit too so will have to let them know to get the extra payment there, does anyone know if they backpay that as well?

Snickerdoodles19 · 15/03/2023 06:29

@Boymom10 mine got renewed 3 days before it was due to end, was with a dm for 6 days x

Boymom10 · 15/03/2023 07:34

Wow!! They are really cutting it close for people. I’ve got everything crossed 🤞 I won’t bother phoning this week then. Do weekends count or just working days?

Snickerdoodles19 · 15/03/2023 07:49

@Boymom10 yeah I think weekends are counting at the min from the posts I’ve seen, mine was awarded on Saturday 11th so I’m guessing so x

CheesePlease33 · 15/03/2023 09:21

@Snickerdoodles19 how long did they renew your claim for if you don't mind me asking? The last couple of times they've renewed for 2 years. Also, what evidence did you send in?

Matilda142 · 15/03/2023 09:37

Does anyone know how soon after you receive the payment that you get the official letter? I seem to have been paid more than I was expecting (I thought my son would just get the low care rate) so I'm very keen to know what he's actually been awarded

Boymom10 · 15/03/2023 09:53

@CheesePlease33 i think renewal can change for different ppl I know someone son same age as mine got it for 4years my son only 2 yet her child goes to mainstream school plus his care needs are not as much as my child either eg (nappies) but they got it for longer.my child is 12.. I’m hoping the letters I sent off will show my child needs are a lot more than a child of his age. But you just never know. What did you send off if you don’t mind me asking?

This is what im currently waiting to find out too, also do you know when the DLA payments actually start is it 4 weeks on from when receiving the back payment x

Snickerdoodles19 · 15/03/2023 10:10

@CheesePlease33 he got awarded for another 2 years again, it’s always been 2 years last 2 renewals, but sent in hospital letters, school letters, part of a home/school diary, prescription list, school learning reports and photographic evidence of damage he’s done to my home, the dangerous behaviours he displays (putting things in his mouth, climbing etc) I then wrote a 10 page detailed description of everything regarding day to day life for him at home and school, he was awarded hrc,lrm x

Snickerdoodles19 · 15/03/2023 10:12

@Matilda142 i usually get it 7/8 days after being awarded

Patientlywaitingx2 · 15/03/2023 11:24

I just had another text saying we are still looking at your claim. Scan date 19/12

If you did they will send it back for you to sign x

SallyCinnamon30 · 15/03/2023 11:32

@Dani006
I hope so I spent so long with the form I can't believe I have done it. Going to give them a call next week to see if I can just print the page off their website and send it to them. I could kick myself !

CheesePlease33 · 15/03/2023 12:39

@Boymom10 The only additional stuff I sent off was an email trail from the autism guidance worker the school uses to assist in how best to help my son and emails from support agencies that we use. I've been writing a diary this week of what life is like for a single parent bringing up an autistic child with adhd and am writing it as it happens, including the thoughts that run through my head. I worry my renewal will get rejected so will be sending this diary off tomorrow. Its hard to express into words what we go through so am hoping this honest account of day to day life will help.

AnxietyMumma · 15/03/2023 12:42

Yay part 10.

I tried to make a new thread but it wouldn't allow it

Hoping the ones that have been awarded have been awarded what they expected. Scan date 20/12 so few more weeks yet for us. My child has been accepted for a Disability Blue Badge. It went to an independent assessor for a report sobive sent the report off today. Kind of shows some of his needs as mobility wise hes fine, he scored 0 points on that.

Snickerdoodles19 · 15/03/2023 12:44

@AnxietyMumma what type of things is required for blue badge but not physical
