Called up today and the wait gets pushed back further and further has anyone been awarded recently

I’ve called DLA been awarded HRC but from date 28/12/22 (the date that was on my form) I thought it would be the scan date.

What was your scan date? Did you call and ask for forms? Were they stamped with a date?

My scan date was 9th Jan. No I printed them off myself and dated them the date I posted them 28th December. :)

Scan date 23/12 , I've not called since last time just anxiously waiting it out now , worried as I've read some stating they've been declined simular situation to myself . But fingers crossed

Huge congrats on your awards!! DM called me about an hour ago to ask why my form was received so late. Down to Royal mail strikes. Then asked me to clarify night time needs so I must not of made that clear

They haven't received the Blue Badge full report but I told him about it and said they'll probably get it in a few days. He told me I should hear something in 5-10 working days. He seemed lovely

Hi, anyone waiting for a renewal.. my sons was awarded 7 days before it was due to end. I called on Monday with a decision made. He got what he deserved and I'm so pleased!! It was such a stressful wait. Scan date 05/12/23 so it did take a while. Good luck everyone x

@Patientlywaitingx2 I presume he was the DM. I can't even remember what his name was as I went into panic. Thank you. I seen somewhere they are working full time over the weekends now. When will you next call? X

Also just to add to my post. I sent off no extra evidence or paperwork. Just a few paragraphs from the SENCO teacher at school. This was for a renewal he was awarded the same amount plus LRM which was a bonus. Diagnosis of autism. Awarded for 3 years x

@Nicnac91 what was your scan date?waiting on renewal… rang yesterday and still not with dm runs out 28th told me could be the day before it’s end my anxiety it beyond a joke..

We’re approaching 13 weeks and I’m starting to get so anxious 😭 I made sure to photocopy all of his application and I found myself reading it earlier thinking ‘How can they possibly think this kid isn’t entitled to DLA?’ I can’t even imagine the disappointment if I’ve waited this long just to be told he’s been turned down.

Ah i totally get that. The amount of doubt that went through my head when I got to this last week was unreal. I found out today my son was awarded high rate care today, he doesn't have a diagnosis and the only piece of evidence I had was a one plan from school, I just knew he should be entitled to something as what I go through with him is not like other children his age (or even my other children at his age). Keep the faith. You know your child better than anyone xx

I was told today we were awarded yesterday and she said Monday/Tuesday but It's supposed to be 3-5 working days, so I reckon mid week next week, if not earlier x

Iv seen some people on here get txt messages saying they have been awarded, do they send messages if declined?

Yes they do send messages but not always only if the dm has access to the text message service

Hi all, can I join?

My 10 month old has a rare genetic disorder called DYRK1A (pronounced as durk-1a). It’s an intellectual disability that brings about loads of issues.

I first sent my form off mid January only to be told that DWP never received the form! I now have trust issues with a post box lol. Sent the new form off only yesterday so I’m hoping to hear back by August/September latest.

I’m miles away from hearing back from them as it was only sent off yesterday! Just thought I’d comment on the thread as I saw it on Active. Good luck to you all🤞

A scan date is when they received the letter, they will send you a letter stating the date it was received

I sent my forms off signed for on the 17th December, they received them 22nd December, my scan date is 22nd December xx
