It's looking like we're going to need a new thread. Good luck to everyone waiting for a decision. Our scan date is 02/11 so it could be any day now, but most likely another week or two.

OP posts:

@Als2017 did you use the freepost address with recorded delivery?

No the lady wouldn’t let me I had to put Blackpool address they need a postcode app with the recorded delivery

Snickerdoodles19 · 16/02/2023 07:06

@Als2017 right I see, i was going to use the Wolverhampton address

twinmumaa · 16/02/2023 07:26

wanted to add that no message or call even though I asked them to text me. Hope to see more positive posts today , our kids deserve all the support that they can have 🥰

Scanner20 · 16/02/2023 07:43

@Snickerdoodles19 I used the Wolverhampton address when I sent in the forms and extra evidence by next day recorded delivery.

Snickerdoodles19 · 16/02/2023 07:46

@Scanner20 thank you I think I’m going to use that one.

Macariosmummy · 16/02/2023 07:50

@twinmumaa so happy for you, hopefully there will be more positive outcomes today… I don’t think I’m going to hear from my DM for at least another week as the kids are on half term so going to have to see if they can contact Senco/head teacher next week 🤞🏽

Lostatsea10 · 16/02/2023 07:55

Congratulations! Lovely news this morning.

WreckTangled · 16/02/2023 07:55

Twinmama that’s great news I don’t understand why there was such a difference in time between them, seems ridiculous. Like most things in the public sector it’s ridiculous processes that make things take longer than need be 🤪

I saw on the fb group yesterday someone got awarded for our date. Then I saw another post where someone was declined because there’s nothing in place at school for them sigh

Good morning everyone, I cannot believe it but received payment for my other child . I couldn’t believe it first 😁. No more calls to DWP I guess until 2024. Scan date 31.10. Good luck to everyone and good news☺️. This group and you people are amazing 🤩

brilliant news well done 🎉🎉

twinmumaa · 16/02/2023 08:46

Thank you everyone so much for the support. People been warning me that applying for DLA is very stressful and honestly it is. Will be checking on you, cannot wait for positive outcomes 🥰

Cody4 · 16/02/2023 09:06

I just rang said to ring back at back end of next week as COC are now taking 23 weeks I’m 22 tomorrow

Snickerdoodles19 · 16/02/2023 09:46

Phoned this morning, they are working on end of feb for renewals my award doesn’t end until 14/3 so I’ve sent extra info in recorded delivery and she said to phone back at the beginning of march.

Als2017 · 15/02/2023 20:53

I sent evidence recorded delivery over a week ago, rang today to ask if they have it they said not yet !

Hi mine took nearly two weeks to show on there system

MygirlGrace · 16/02/2023 13:21

Congratulations @twinmumaa fantastic news. @Cody4 thanks for the update I am also waiting for change of circumstances claim. I’m just over 19 weeks today. I tried ringing yesterday but was waiting over an hour then got cut off. I will leave it another 3 weeks. I’m just stressing out that the claim could go against us as I’ve heard of people putting in change of circumstances and losing what they already have 😞My daughter is 12 and they said 2 years ago when I first applied that she didn’t qualify for HR mobility as she’s not virtually unable to walk even tho she has scoliosis and hyper mobility she is able to walk albeit a bit slower than others. They said don’t qualify for LR mobility as any child of her age (she was 9 at this time) would also require guidance and supervision outside. She is in high school now mainstream I take her on bus each day there and back. She is very vulnerable and has hardly any Road awareness. All her friends either walk or travel on bus alone. Just to let you know, there are more strike day/s coming up soon also for DWP which may delay claims. Good luck to those still waiting and congrats to those who have received positive news. X

danijeanne · 16/02/2023 13:40

I have just called to check extra information I sent in has been received and was told they now taking 15-17 weeks from date application received for new claims.

They keep telling people that yet people are generally pretty consistently getting awarded around the 14 week mark.

danijeanne · 16/02/2023 14:26

That's good to know thank you!! Fingers Crossed !

Lostatsea10 · 16/02/2023 16:50

Lots on FB seem to be being awarded 10-14/11

Same. Just planning to call next Wednesday but so tempted to call sooner! Going to wait though, expecting a decline anyway

Lostatsea10 · 16/02/2023 16:57

I’m at so stressful! I shall keep my fingers crossed for you that you hear positive news before Wednesday. It’s hard enough having to fight for our children, let alone multiple month wait for money to help them.

126t · 16/02/2023 20:26

My son as been put on melatonin do I send a copy of his prescription as proof

tourettesadhdmum · 16/02/2023 21:41

@126t i would send a copy, my daughter is on chlonide and i sent a copy of that

Cody4 · 16/02/2023 22:50

@MygirlGrace if you can best to ring at 9am you get straight through, and they’ll be polite cause it’s start of the day and no been on phone to loads of people. Try not stress to much all dm’s and everyone else we speak to are different and give different answers, I never thought I’d get mrc for my son in 2021 he was only 3 1/2 when diagnosed he was 5 last month. Awww bless her my son don’t walk far either he has a bigger pushchair and also no sense of danger, I can’t have candles in my house he’s always trying to pick them up when they’re on x

Als2017 · 17/02/2023 06:57

I’m week 13 they told me at least March x

Snickerdoodles19 · 17/02/2023 07:36

@tourettesadhdmum is your daughter on adhd medication aswell?
