DLA Wait Times Part 8 (2023)

It's looking like we're going to need a new thread. Good luck to everyone waiting for a decision. Our scan date is 02/11 so it could be any day now, but most likely another week or two.

My son is getting more aggressive and also don’t have any sense of danger, he just runs out into the road and has nearly ran over on several occasions, he needs constant supervision at home too as he will turn on hot water, put things on the toaster/microwave that shouldn’t be in there… He also bites himself and literally throws himself down the stairs or off furniture but as I said his teacher says he is fine so I am worried now that if the DM wants to talk to his school he wont be awarded

Most of us are in the same boat ⛵ November scan it will be til march end

@Macariosmummy as awful as it sounds why don’t you record him and take pics then show school just how he really is

@Snickerdoodles19 I have got an appointment with Senco and his teacher 23/2 so I can talk to them about how he is at school so I may video him next time he has a meltdown so they can see him in full swing, although I don’t feel like anyone should have to video their child to be believed like we would just make it up 🤬

Hi I have just received a text message to say they are still looking at my child claim and will write to me when decision is made do anyone know how many weeks it is taking

Did you send reports from school with your claim

@harjinder01 Gosh 😩 My scan date is 19/12. I can’t imagine having to wait until the end of April potentially. Especially if I just get told no, that’ll just be the cherry on top of the cake.

Mine is the 14.12 😔

15 weeks in a couple of days can’t bring myself to call again and be told yet another different story think I will just wait for the letter now as I really feel It will be a decline now lost all hope 😩

Just want to say Thankyou so much for keeping me sane, just got of the phone my son has been awarded HRC (scanned 4/11).

@Vickaah congratulations 🥳 my scan date is 27/10 and has been with DM for over a week, I don’t know if claims go to different parts of the country depending on where you live as a few people with scan dates after mine have had decisions… I am just hoping it don’t mean mine will be declined x

Excellent news! 15 weeks seems to be the most common amount of time at the moment.

@WreckTangled it will be 16 weeks on Thursday since my scan date, I asked the woman I spoke to today if my DM was in work and she said he is but he has several claims to get through so basically it depends where I am in the pile I guess 😢 it just makes me so anxious having to wait but hopefully I hear by the end of the week

Our scan date is 31/10. Rang today again, still with dm. I’ve been told to ring next week. It really drives me insane 😔

11 weeks today scan date 28th Nov first claim I was told 15 weeks wait and she was like we will get a decision done ASAP
