It's looking like we're going to need a new thread. Good luck to everyone waiting for a decision. Our scan date is 02/11 so it could be any day now, but most likely another week or two.

I thought I’d try to make the best out of a rubbish situation and make a thread for anyone needing to go through this process. Hopefully we can all support each other if needed! Xx

Hi just curious, hard times and all. Once awarded how long does it take for the back payment to reach your account. I’m not relying on it. But it absolutely wouldn’t hurt to have rn. Cost of living is milking us

Macariosmummy · 11/02/2023 12:38

@Mumofboysteamginge I am sorry to hear you got declined 😢 just wondering did you receive a letter to confirm or did you called them? I hope your MR is successful

Macariosmummy · 11/02/2023 12:38

@Mumofboysteamginge call*

I called them, they gave me the statements and I gave her reasons why i disagree. I have extra evidence that I’m going to send and see what happenes xx

Macariosmummy · 11/02/2023 12:45

@Mumofboysteamginge its such a kick in the teeth after waiting for months, I feel like I’m going to be declined too 🤦🏽‍♀️ do you know if they are working over the weekend? If I get declined I will be doing a MR too xx

Mumofboysteamginge · 11/02/2023 12:53

I have seen people get their decision on a weekend but don’t think you can contact them.
Hopefully you won’t need to! Fingers crossed xx

Macariosmummy · 11/02/2023 15:24

@Mumofboysteamginge thank you, I am just going to call them on Monday and hope my son got awarded 🤞🏽

Brown2010 · 11/02/2023 20:36

just a quick question .. once scanned on and put with a DM will it be quite quick from there? Just as I’ve read on here some people are week 13 and case still hasn’t been put to a dm?

WreckTangled · 11/02/2023 20:39

Once it’s scanned it’s 13+ weeks to go to a DM and then it can be another week or more until you get a decision….

Brown2010 · 11/02/2023 21:20

Ah ok mine is a renewal scanned 4th Jan when I rang around 2 weeks ago they said it was with a DM but said they probs won’t look at it yet as it doesn’t run out until 31st March .. is that right will it just sit with DM?

WreckTangled · 11/02/2023 21:26

Oh I don’t know about renewals

Macariosmummy · 11/02/2023 22:37

@Brown2010 hi my scan date is 27/10 but it’s a first time claim, it took around 15 weeks to go to a DM and has been with them for a week I am going to call Monday for an update 🤞🏽

Snickerdoodles19 · 12/02/2023 05:49

@Brown2010 yes thats right, I’m waiting on my renewal current award ends 14th march, scan date 11/11 so 13 weeks ago.

Mumbzo · 12/02/2023 10:01

I called up on Tuesday and was told mine is in the overtime pile? my scan date was 7th November

WreckTangled · 12/02/2023 10:07

Interesting. I guess that means it’ll be looked at yesterday or today. I saw a fb post of someone with the same date being awarded yesterday.

Lostatsea10 · 12/02/2023 10:35

It feels so slow now as we’re getting closer to my scan date and just generally feels slow as we go into the early November scan dates. It feels like it’s slowed down

Macariosmummy · 12/02/2023 10:55

after reading these comments I’m hoping if I call tomorrow they have made a decision on my sons claim scan date 27/10

Cath82 · 12/02/2023 12:26

It seems so strange there's still quite a few people waiting from late October but they're moving onto November dates. My scan date is the 9/11 and although when I rang last Monday they said I'd get a letter by the end of the month....I am quietly hoping for a decision this week after seeing some other award dates.

Ours was awarded last Monday and the money was in the account on Thursday.

With renewals they will look at it a couple of weeks before the renewal is up so scan dates are a bit meaningless unless it is a first application.

Also in my experience the money often appears before you hear. I have never been notified by text and the letters (particularly at the moment) take ages to arrive.

Could someone tell me the name of the DLA Facebook group please? I have seen the one for discounts on days out but not one where DLA awards are discussed. Thanks 😊
