DLA Wait Times Part 8 (2023)

It's looking like we're going to need a new thread. Good luck to everyone waiting for a decision. Our scan date is 02/11 so it could be any day now, but most likely another week or two.

She said to call on the 15th of February

Morning just an update I rang this morning at 9am and got straight through.Scan date 8/11 I was told there now looking at 15 weeks before a decision,The lady said it goes to a Dm on the scan date then it's just held in a queue for someone to process it and make a decision and also she said apparently you don't receive a text if awarded it will be a letter.She just said with all the apparent Royal mail strikes its slowed them down 🤷‍♀️

I called today. 9/11 scan date. In the queue for the DM. Could go in the next 2 weeks and then takes a couple of days if they can make a decision on the information within the form. She said claims are taking between 13-15 weeks and they can go to the DM at any time in that two week window. About 45mins on hold today.
I won't phone again as I'll wait the next two weeks out. Keep my mind busy!

Girls are very good, they are so independent and in a way they see us doing all we can for our families and they absorb it all like little sponges and take it upon themselves to do the same! I’m sure your daughter doesn’t feel like she is missing out on anything, when we’re able to we allow for special film nights and games nights with ours…(from your posts I believe we have similar aged children). Your daughter is obviously very special and bright with a big heart.

Am stuggle soo much for my son he dnt slep wake at night time he's very hard work

I have just had the text my son qualifies for DLA I’m so happy I was so nervous he wasn’t going to get anything all I sent in was his EHCP report

My scan date was 31/12/22 does anyone know how long I could be waiting on a decision letter, never applied before so it's all new to me

i reckon another 8-10 weeks. claims are taking 15-16 weeks atm. im 4/11 14weeks tomorrow and no decision yet

My scan date was 18th/11 22,
has anyone around this time had a decision I sent in evidence yesterday

I’ve only seen people with the first 2/3 days of November have decisions so far

Am on 28 November i think i got 6 weeks

I’ve been following this thread and it’s kept me going my scan date was the 02/01 and I rang up this morning; my daughter was awarded on Monday didn’t get a text and haven’t received letter or payment yet but the lady was ever so helpful so hopefully you all hear soon x

I decided rather than wasting a stamp I would just phone and justify why ds doesn’t require an EHCP currently. The man was really nice and wrote what I wanted to say (much more eloquently than I would!) and said to call back in two weeks to see where they are but he’s expecting end of feb (14/11 scan date).

Scan date 31/10 been with dm for 6 days now 😩😩 really hope I hear something tomorrow .. so fed up with this all now ! I know it will be worth it if he’s awarded but it’s so stressful .

scan date 31/10. Applied for my twins. My son has been awarded a week ago, I even received a payment. My daughters application been with dm since last week. Makes no sense at all 🤦🏻‍♀️. Been ringing literally every day, lady on the phone said if you hear nothing give us a call on Monday 😣

It seems so random, lots of early November dates coming through, but I’ve seen on the FB page some (admittedly very few) dates from 20/11 onwards. It seems you move forward as a collective of dates. I.E November and then you break off into smaller files and it’s random according to SM then.

I’m sure it’s more complex than that, but that’s how it seems.
