DLA Wait Times Part 8 (2023)

It's looking like we're going to need a new thread. Good luck to everyone waiting for a decision. Our scan date is 02/11 so it could be any day now, but most likely another week or two.

I've been lurking so long, only fair I post something too! New claim, scan date 2/11, so will be 14 weeks on Weds. I phoned on Friday and they said it wasn't with a decision maker yet and as they were still working on claims from 2-3 weeks before mine, that it could be that long still. (Ie. Could be 15-16 week total wait). I'm going to try and resist calling again and just wait it out...

I phoned Friday and mine wasn't with a decision maker either but it was today when I called for the address to send more evidence! My scan date is the 7/11

They've been working overtime on weekends to catch up with claims so they must be getting through the piles fast

How bizarre last week they appeared to be catching up with claims now they are even further behind by a number of weeks 😣

I called this morning (scan date 9/11). He said it's 16 week wait for new claims, I wouldn't get a text update even though I requested it and that I would get a letter by the end of the month. Seems so strange there are still people waiting from October too. I feel like the decision just keeps getting further and further away.

It's ridiculous how inconsistent they are!

I wonder if some just say longer to stop people from calling up. Quite a few popping up on the fb group from beginning of nov being awarded so that’s completely contradictory

A lot of people from beginning of November being awarded so they are working on November now. I’m 10th November I rang and they told me it’s 16 weeks wait but I rang last week and they told me 12 and a half week wait. I think they are just saying this to stop people calling because they’re quite clearly working on people who have been waiting 12-13 weeks.

Just rang, still not with DM, but should be by end of this week!

I just called it went to the dm on Saturday he said it can be with them for 7 days so I can call on Friday if Iv not heard anything or just wait for a letter … I’m hoping I might get a txt later on or tomorrow 😂 if not I’ll be calling again tomorrow , the wait is a killer especially being October & hearing lots of nov dates being awarded !

Thank you! I feel so relieved. I hasn't realised how much headspace it was taking up! Just in hold now to fund out the rates.
