DLA Wait Times Part 8 (2023)

It's looking like we're going to need a new thread. Good luck to everyone waiting for a decision. Our scan date is 02/11 so it could be any day now, but most likely another week or two.

How long is it taking people to get through on the phone, I was on for half an hour and gave up.

The best time to ring seems to be 9am. I’m thinking I’ll ring when it’s been 13 and a half weeks as that’s on par with what most people seem to be getting an answer by.

Up to an hour? If not more

I was told Friday it’s 100% going to the dm over the weekend 🤞🏼

I am 14 weeks on Thursday can’t bring my self to call yet I’m to nervous for the answer 🥴think I will wait till the end of the week

I just got off the phone (first time calling) lady was very polite. She said they had a notification this morning to say they are taking around 15 weeks to go to DM then a further couple of weeks after this for the decision. She did say it could be earlier than this but there is no way for them to know.

Just got off phone to them and my scan date is 7/11 they said it's with a DM and should hear any time from now until the end of the week just in case anyone has the same scan date it may be worth calling 😊

@MygirlGrace they don’t get them done any sooner than 22 weeks I’m on week 20 now it’s cause your already getting care component so you getting something where new claims are getting nothing x

Mines 14 weeks today I phoned the lady said not gone to DM yet but she has put a note on the system to message me the outcome because I can’t wait for the letter.

I wonder if they get allocated to different DMs for different medical conditions, it's strange how mines with a DM on week 13 and others are on week 14 and not even with a DM! It's crazy.

I only called to say I had a letter from school to send in and what address to send it to, and she said it's with a DM so I will probably get a decision before the letter arrives but any evidence sent in within 8 week of the claim decision will go back to the same DM to look at and see if the award changes! My son has chronic kidney disease, severe hypertension with headaches, low growth hormone, small stature! He's 8 but the same size as a 4 year old but he's really struggling lately at home and school I've never needed to claim it before but he's attendance at school is 55% I'm finding it hard to hold down jobs!

I've just rang after being told last week it would be with a dm over the weekend to be told they're now working at 15 weeks to get to a dm so mines been pushed back again

15 weeks is a long time! is it a new claim? As I'm on week 13 today and it's with a DM. Maybe the wait time once it's with a DM is longer than they said to me.

Just been told exactly the same 15 weeks before they even get looked at and that could get even longer she said! Xx

It's honestly ridiculous, it will have been 14 weeks on Friday for us new claim and just keep getting told different things. I'm not ringing again, what ever will be will be. Good luck to everyone else xx

Just had my text, she has been awarded!! I'm in shock and so relieved. Will call after the school run to find out rates but am so relieved she has been accepted!
