DLA Wait Times Part 8 (2023)

It's looking like we're going to need a new thread. Good luck to everyone waiting for a decision. Our scan date is 02/11 so it could be any day now, but most likely another week or two.

Ive been watching this thread for a while. Just to let you know my scan date is 4/11 and i just got off the phone to them. It is currently with a DM :)

I’m thinking the same as mine to be honest, I rushed it.. I’m noting this as don’t send forms to early, anxiety is awful right now!

How long after this text did people hear on their claims? Just received now, scanned 5th December. I've already had the 2 letters to say the claim was received and the other to say they are still looking at it.

"We are still looking at your DLA1 Child claim. When a decision is made we will confirm it in writing. There is no need to contact us about it."

I received that text over 3 weeks ago and haven’t heard anything. I’m not sure there is an obvious connection between receiving the text and where the claim is at. We are week 12 today. Good luck with everything 😊

The texts and letters are all generic. I don’t think they have any bearing on when a decision (finally!) gets made.

I’m on 12 weeks today too. I won’t ring though as I know they’re only just starting on November. Hope it’s not too long… not sure what we will do if it’s declined

Yes im going to ring later, she said there wasnt anything on the system to say they were waiting for anything so ill call about 4pm. I never rushed mine but i didnt really have any evidence as he hasnt been diagnosed with anything yet 😩 whens your scan date? thank you 🤞🏻 for you too!

if its any help im 13 weeks & 4 days and its with a DM so hopefully not long for you now :)

Seen somebody on the FB group sent forms end of December and got their decision already.. just wish they were a bit more consistent with it all. So frustrating waiting for so long

My scan date was the 17/10

@northstar19 fingers crossed it’s not too long, I’m rubbish on the phone so probably won’t bring myself to call, I’ll be waiting for a letter for ages 😆

mine has been with a DM since 02/02, shame they didn’t say that when I called on Friday

November case are in Feb time being of march . It's round 14 weeks to 16 weeks .
