It's looking like we're going to need a new thread. Good luck to everyone waiting for a decision. Our scan date is 02/11 so it could be any day now, but most likely another week or two.

My son care need 24/7 as well so stressful.

Symmz · 04/02/2023 18:10

Do you think you need some help from the local authority with his care needs? Do you have support to help you? I can imagine that’s hard for you ❤

harjinder01 · 05/02/2023 09:20

@Chocolateandstrawberries ob my god can’t believe you’re still waiting!! Have you been in touch with them recently?

Yeah, they just said call on the 15th of February which is the day before his renewal runs out.
I have seen on Facebook though that they are working this weekend? Whether or not that’s true I don’t know. But I might call them tomorrow to find out if it’s with the DM

L0ts · 05/02/2023 12:35

Parking my butt here.

They received my sons claim on the 19th December and after reading here the last week, I’ve obviously got a while to wait yet! I’m guessing there may be another couple of threads to get through before it’s my turn! 😂

Really annoying as we originally rang and asked for the forms TWICE! Once in September and once in October and never received them until we rang a third time in November and they finally came.

Has this happened to anybody else? We were told to write a note to put inside the forms to tell them we rang way before so it can be backdated accordingly if it’s accepted.

Has anyone had any news with scan date 3 nov yet ? Seems the nearer you get the slower the days go it’s painful

I seen someone awarded yesterday and there scan date was November 8 how does that even work 🤷🏼‍♀️

twinmumaa · 05/02/2023 15:42

Scan date 31/10 that’s what I thought for my twins. When I rang on Friday closer to the end of the day lovely gentleman told me that one of my twins was awarded from 29/10. My another twin still with dm 🤦🏻‍♀️. He was surprised himself and left a note for dm to prioritise it. Now I have to wait again. Good luck to everyone for tomorrow 😊

Vickyj29 · 05/02/2023 17:39

Hi everyone,
My son got awarded on Friday, the scan date was 2nd if Nov, I’m not sure on the rate yet as the text came in late so I couldn’t call them to find out.

I just wondered if anyone knew when my back payment would be due, also if I inform tax credits how long it takes them to give you back pay? I’m hoping that between the back pay from both of them it will be enough to cover the cost of going for a private diagnosis x

amysep23 · 05/02/2023 18:00

I did a change of circumstances for my son the scan say was 27th September and I'm still waiting. Is everyone else's a new claim?

We also had to go down the private route for diagnosis for my eldest son it’s such a worry I hope you what you need to get it sorted x

Itsjademitch · 05/02/2023 18:31

I’m scan 3rd Nov, rang on Friday wasnt with a DM yet 😩 x

MygirlGrace · 05/02/2023 19:04

@amysep23

Hi,
I put a change of circumstance in for my daughter. The scan date is 4th October. I rang up to chase up and was told they are taking 22 weeks. The coc are seen as least priority. X

Worriednow21 · 05/02/2023 19:12

My scan date is 2nd Nov, good to hear that people are hearing from that date now. I'll give them a ring tomorrow.

Rubydw · 05/02/2023 19:37

What does coc mean?

Thank you, it’s been a long battle because he’s so good at masking at school. Now he’s started high school I’m hoping they’ll see he’s struggling but realistically it’s an average of 2 years for a diagnosis so private seems best x

My son was the same but when he got to high school he struggled so much and the school just didn’t want to help my son always knew he had something that wasn’t right and he really needed to know what it was for his own well-being so in year 11 after getting no where his whole school life we decided to pay privately and he was diagnosed with dysgraphia and dyslexia it has changed my sons life now he knows why he is the way he is and he owns it now it makes the world of difference having that diagnosis behind you

Boyandgirlmum23 · 05/02/2023 20:21

I'm 19th dec too

harjinder01 · 05/02/2023 21:15

Think it would all depend on what kind of assessment you need my son had a full educational phycology assessment the fee was £1300 but it was so thorough and a very detailed report outlining everything my son would need moving forward with his diagnosis for his exams etc it was really priceless for us to finally have a diagnosis so my son could move forward in a positive way with a plan of action

Caz3babies · 05/02/2023 22:24

Change of circumstances

Can you let me know when you hear anything please, I'm only 3 days behind you on a renewal? Can't stop thinking about it!x

Beccaot · 06/02/2023 02:35

Hi all followed and read for a while. Scan date was 17/10/22. I sent the autism diagnosis letter off on 5/1/23. But they still wrote on the 1/2/23 asking for the diagnosis letter. I called them the same day and they said they only only scanned the diagnosis letter in the day before.. so hopefully soon 🤞
