Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Squishy1911 · 24/01/2023 10:34

My son is the same barely anything in the morning before he’s had his meds, nothing at school for his dinner then when he gets home from school he has a snack but it isn’t until around 7pm when he wants something proper to eat so I’m having to keep him up later so he will have something decent to eat, he’s also on Medikinet it is a really good medication he barely had side effects apart from headaches and loss of appetite, he had anger issues before meds increase but his consultant said it could be a direct side effect from his adhd meds and his sleeping meds.

I sent my sons learning support plan from school and his autism assessment report I also just sent his official diagnosis but didn’t get there before it went to DM. My son got HRC LRM

Christinaja · 24/01/2023 12:35

Getting so nervous now week 13 rang yesterday wasn't with DM anyone else around the 24th October had any news?

Squishy1911 · 24/01/2023 14:38

Update! Scan date 11/10 for renewal I’ve just phoned them because the stress was too much! He’s been awarded again same rates mrc and lrm for the next 5 years. Award was due to end 4/2 and they made the decision yesterday.

tourettesadhdmum · 24/01/2023 14:46

@Squishy1911 woop! so happy you’ve got it sorted and no more stress DLA wise x

Squishy1911 · 24/01/2023 14:48

@tourettesadhdmum i know thank you the stress was doing me no good at all, hope everyone else gets positive decisions x

tourettesadhdmum · 24/01/2023 15:05

@Squishy1911 i can imagine, i’m on edge waiting for our decision especially as it’s our 2nd application after the 1st was rejected. good luck with everything else as your son gets older ☺️

Lodol · 24/01/2023 15:07

Hi everyone

I have applied for DLA, my child has been assessed for add, adhd and autism and the school feels that my child has brain damage caused by a childhood illness as a baby

all I sent in was the referral letter from the SENCO as the GP confirmed they will respond if requested which is no help

has anyone provided little evidence but been granted it? She has other input but they have again said provide their details and they will provide information when requested

i spoke to dla and they said it’s not always requested and may go by what myself and the SENCO worker says. She has memory loss, focus and concentration issues, impulsive behaviour and risky behaviour included cannot follow instructions so she cannot dress herself as she forgets what she is doing despite numerous prompts and picture cards

thann you

Squishy1911 · 24/01/2023 15:10

@tourettesadhdmum I’m sure all will be ok and you get that positive decision, I will still be reading this post though x

Squishy1911 · 24/01/2023 15:12

Are they under the hospital for any of these conditions?

Lodol · 24/01/2023 15:16

No, under community support for continance as she forgets to use the toilet and can’t do personal hygiene.

she has an appointment in may to explore brain damage and to seek a diagnosis

the letter I provided was from the senco worker and was a referral to the Gp, she asked me to use this as it details all my daughters challenges and specifies the assessments done and that they feel she has some sort of brain damage and need a diagnosis to help understand the best way to support her

Apologies this is a referral letter for the GP to refer to the hospital - It is a hospital appointment with a paediatrician/neurologist the Gp has her history of referrals too and have previously referred for an adhd diagnosis but school undertook these x

Squishy1911 · 24/01/2023 15:38

Is sounds to me like you have enough, you have upcoming appointments for her and they are investigating

Kaylisa · 24/01/2023 15:49

@Lodol my daughter was awarded HRC in December and I sent in no supporting evidence. Just filled the form out as best I could. Said she was being referred by gp and school to the cdc.

Disabledmom · 24/01/2023 16:07

Hi everyone
I found out my scan date is actually 1st November and the lady was really nice. She explained I’m in the 13th week and the case worker will be assigned next week. So I hope to hear something within 2 weeks. 🤞
Does anyone else have a similar scan date?

jesskay · 24/01/2023 16:08

Still not heard anything been with decision makers since Thursday last week 😓 losing hope now

Squishy1911 · 24/01/2023 16:11
