Thought I'd continue the thread as it had reached its limit.

My application will be awhile before any response but scanned 5 July and nothing yet.

Oh I see I don't understand half of it to be honest I wouldn't of even applied if my daughters bladder and bowel nurse hadn't told me to so I'm not getting hopes up of it, I work part time anyway so from what I've been told I earn £20 over the carers element threshold so wouldn't get that either

Yea it's a bit of a clart on this I made a new claim in July first time. I'm on 14 weeks waiting the whole system seems a bit odd tbh :/

It’s not what u earn its if u care for someone 35 hours or more I believe

Yh it is but if you also work aswell as care like I work 16 hours a week your only aloud to earn I think it's £130 a week if your earn more then that you can't get it

Malimum · 25/10/2022 10:05

Hey guys my decision was made Friday how long do they usually take to back pay?

alwaysonthegomum · 25/10/2022 11:08

Has anyone had any positive news this week? I’m on 13 weeks today and honestly this last bit is making me so anxious. I’ll be devastated for my ds if he gets declined

sjf198111 · 25/10/2022 11:35

How long after telling tax credits before you get the back payment?

Let's hope you don't have to send it in and what you have sent is enough, I'm on the fence if she will get it but sent in everything I could, her bowel and bladder nurse told me to apply for it so will have to wait and see. Keep me posted if you hear anything

alwaysonthegomum · 25/10/2022 11:49

@Hayhoarematthews im sure if you have been advised by medical staff to apply you should be awarded.
let me know if you hear anything too

You would think that but you never know, yh I will do

Mkd1322 · 25/10/2022 11:58

@Cass29 @OKJ will any of you be calling this week by any chance? X

OKJ · 25/10/2022 12:01

@Mkd1322 I'm tempted but trying to resist. I just called last Tuesday and they told me then they were working on June 6th for COC. I'm June 16th so I'm hoping that means they'll be working on mine this week. Will probably phone next week if I haven't heard anything by then.

Mkd1322 · 25/10/2022 12:33

@OKJ that was me but i just had to call yesterday, just wish they told me what date they was on. Don't no why I'm getting so anxious about it because to be honest i dont think they will change his claim.x

Cass29 · 25/10/2022 13:57

@Mkd1322 and @OKJ no i have not rang today im out at the moment might not have time today. But still no news for me yet x

Sophie0992 · 25/10/2022 15:31

Hi All,

I have been quietly stalking trying to be as patient as I can!
My claim was received on the 27th July.
I have just called and been advised they are working on claims up to the 26th July .. typical!
However the man on the phone "guarantees" that ny claim will be looked at next week and to call back on Tuesday next week if I haven't heard by then.

Just thought it would be useful for those with a similar scan date to know.

Good Luck to all those waiting an answer I hope you get what is needed to help your children x
