Thought I'd continue the thread as it had reached its limit.

My application will be awhile before any response but scanned 5 July and nothing yet.

Congratulations.. So happy for your child. Can i ask you what medical reports or documents did you send with your claim?
I just send my child's speech and Language Therapy reports. Because he did not get any diagnosis yet.

Oilytoe90 · 27/09/2022 12:01

@Rose22212 I didn't send any proof or anything. But I think they rang the school and the doctors x

MG811216 · 27/09/2022 18:20

@4xmum123 have you heard back yet? Our scan date was 11 July...

4xmum123 · 27/09/2022 18:31

Hi no nothing yet. Just been following thread. Think they are still in the early 20s of june

Chrissynb · 27/09/2022 19:07

I rang 2 days ago and they said they were upto 28th June , hopefully not much longer for us all

Bunnysarah · 29/09/2022 09:44

I sent my form in for my 1 year oldson 5th august and still waiting. After reading these i will be waiting a while! Since then ive sent extra supporting info special delivery to them just so they have everything! I rang last week and was told my sons would be put to the front of queue due to the constant back and forth to hospital and the cost of transport. Rang yesterday to be told there is no such thing as front of queue! Hate being lied to!!!

MG811216 · 29/09/2022 10:01

I've just got off the phone with them, they're working to 15 weeks!! This is the busiest it's ever been apparently. They are working through weekends to try and clear the backlog...

LemonFrosting · 29/09/2022 10:49

Scan date 11th June. Current claim expires tomorrow. Called this morning for the FIFTH TIME to be told "it's not been looked at, its not even tasked to be looked at, I don't know what's happened here. It doesn't even look like there's a case for it. I'll email the relevant person to raise it". Great. I was told on the fourth time that I called that it would be looked at a few days before its due to expire. So glad I chased it again this morning but this is rather frustrating!

Hiya,

I called on Monday and they said they're working on dates up to the 28th of June. I have a scan date of the 5th of July and they said to call back in 2 weeks if nothing is heard.

Hope this helps!

Also forgot to add that they said new claims are currently taking 12-14 weeks to process unfortunately.

Hi,
Normally it's on the letter they sent that says they've received the form. If not, you can call them and ask.

Hi, so I have received my universal statement, still doesn’t include the back pay,
but someone up thread was asking about carers element,
I receive it even though I work if that helps anyone,
so £414 for the high rate disabled element and £168 for the carers element.

hope this helps

on another note does anyone know when I will get the back pay? I have had confirmation that the decision maker has authorised it on the 21st September.
is it worth leaving a note in my journal asking? I get scared!!

Bunnysarah · 02/10/2022 09:40

Is anyone unable to work due to caring for their child?

Shannon26 · 02/10/2022 10:10

@Snowpatrolling hey, my sons disabled child element went from the lowest to.the highest as he now receives hrc dla a dm authorised the backpay om the 12th of September for me and I've still not recieved or heard anything and when I've got intouch they say you've got to wait for it to be sorted

Ah brilliant Thankyou, I’ve left a note on journal anyway! Hopefully not to long of a wait!

Shannon26 · 02/10/2022 11:00

No bother! Good luck, they're bloody useless at sorting it, im still waiting for an update on what's happening with mine! I'll let you know if I hear anything though 😄
