DLA Wait times 2022 Part 4

Thought I'd continue the thread as it had reached its limit.

My application will be awhile before any response but scanned 5 July and nothing yet.

Chris just rang me back to say that they have been told now it’s the 22nd they are working up too. Typical isn’t it. Fingers crossed for next week 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

I'm gonna try and forget about mine for at least another month then as I'm 14th of July 🤣

@Lau20x no it's not scan date it's definitely gets backdated to the stamp on claim pack which is the award date so May. The scan date is pretty meaningless.

yes I queried this today and he said it should get backdated to the stamp date too 😊

My scan date was 21st June. I've just recieved text to say my daughter qualified 😊 finally have an answer after 13 weeks

Does anyone know if you get backdated carers allowance and how long it takes till you start getting it?

Does anyone know once a dm for uc has agreed to backpayment and it goes to case manager how long it takes? I'm still waiting and it went to the case manager the 12th

Thank you all. I hope you all recieve answers soon, I did phone late Friday afternoon and it hadn't been passed over so its been done quite quickly so hopefully it's the same for everyone else 😊I'm gonna call tmz to see if they can tell me rates as letter prob be ages before turns up 😂 xx

Yes @ofwarren carers can also be backdated to start of dla award. It's taking up to 12 weeks atm as well but in most cases it's sooner.

😲😲😲😲 I'm 30th June, scan date.
I rang today and was informed by a lovely lady claims are taking 12 to 15 weeks.
Claims get back dated to the day you asked for the claim form not the scan date. Not holding my breath to being awarded but definitely taking it all the way!!! Good luck everyone I know the extra money will make life less stressful for my son to keep him occupied.( Single parent, working full time, stressful times )

Scan date was 12th July. Received a letter on the 27th july to say we were not entitled for either child. Sent in a mandatory reconsideration on the same day.
20th September money received into bank! Called them up and they said one of my children has been given HRC and LRM for 2 years!! Beyond happy!
My other child’s claim is with the decision maker.

That was quick! I'm waiting impatiently and I'm stamped 14th July! Longer it goes the more worried I am that little one won't get it, it will be so beneficial for him

Hang in there! I had no confidence that we would get anything after they were declined. I can’t believe after a MR he got HRC and LRM after saying he wasn’t entitled to anything?! It’s backwards! This just means we can now hire a tutor for him and enrol him in music lessons. He has autism and loves drums and guitars and is way behind in school.

I just rang they z a decision has been made but they can't say wat it is because they have 2 systems and one isn't updated yet to ring in a day or 2 to see I asked was it turned down so I can start the appeals process she z she can't say what it is as the system isn't updated this waiting is killing me

Ring back this afternoon don’t wait 2 days doesn’t take them that long to update x
