After about an hour of painless contractions every 3 mins, waters just went. Had forgotten quite how bloody much of it there is. I sit back and await labour...

mama2leah · 26/08/2009 21:35

Duchesse, have been reading this thread for a day or two now, and wishing you all the best. Soon you will have your wonderful new baby in your arms, and it will all have been worth it. My birth was induced, sounds like yours. It's far from perfect but all will be well. Concentrate on the end result!
Read your page and you and your family sound lovely.
Unmumsnetty hugs to you, have a safe peaceful birth.

x

Duchesse. I was induced 23 months ago today so have an idea of what you are going through ... hang on in there ... I'm looking forward to saying welcome to your little one when I log on tomorrow

Tidey · 26/08/2009 23:34

Very best of luck to you, hope it's all going well.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 27/08/2009 06:47

Good morning duchesse, I hope things are going well, have been reading this thread for days now with baited breath.

Come on baby duchesse.

bratnav · 27/08/2009 06:58

Bet duchesse is sleeping/cuddling baby duchesse by now

duchesse · 27/08/2009 07:43

Not quite what I was expecting. Baby girl born by emcs at 2am after her stats dropped alarmingly. Not tolerating labour well due to probable infection. Also had her cord wrapped around her legs and thighs about 6 times. Very little chance of making it out alive through the conventional route. Is now in nicu where she is huge at 7lb6oz. Thanks all for all messages of support.
