...but that last BH made my eyes water. And the previous two weren't very comfortable, either.

Um. I have a surveyor coming round to the house on Monday and I also booked in to get my roots done for Monday afternoon.

We are trying to get DS through bath time and bedtime at the mo'.

And DH wants to go and get a takeaway after DS is in bed.

The house is in a state as well.

Look, this isn't a veery convenient time.

Okay, if things are kicking off, which I hope they aren't and bet they aren't now I've started a thread about it, how can I slow it down/stop it for a couple of days?

Good luck opener!

openerofjars · 26/05/2012 20:11

Thank you! Luck is what I'm after, but I also need a giant cork right now, seriously! I can't even have a bath because my firstborn is playing Octonauts in it at present.

I'm going to go and tidy the house to see if that works...

What's your due date?

Don't eat pineapple, don't have a curry, don't have sex and start a live thread Grin

That should keep baby in for a few days!

Jacksmania · 26/05/2012 20:13

Ohhh, a potential labour thread! I love those!

Sorry openerofjars :o

Jacksmania · 26/05/2012 20:14

Just want to add that I want nothing to do with actual cork placement.

mwah!!

LowRegNumber · 26/05/2012 20:14

Haha.. Er slow down/stop? Well I think your best. Chance was starting a thread - of course you have created a problem by arranging to be busy and for it to be a very inconveniente time! Grin

openerofjars · 26/05/2012 20:47

Due date is Monday as well.

Right, DS is in bed.

This thread is not going to be a live birth thread, sorry. It's gone away again.

Just had huge row with DH, who is being an insensate fool. I have tried telling him I am in an unreasonable mood because I am huge and overheated with a sore abdomen and norks and only got 4 hours sleep last night but he isn't getting it at all. I am going to tell him to go out and have a pint with the lads as it'll probably be the last chance I get and I want the bed to myself anyway.

OP posts:
openerofjars · 26/05/2012 20:58

He won't go out. Arse. How very unreasonable of him.

BH stopped but dull achy feeling remaining and think I just lost a fair bit of plug (not bloody though).

Fucking body, fucking pregnancy, stupid hormones.

Is szechuan chicken a bad idea?

Jacksmania · 26/05/2012 21:27

Hmm... it might spice things up, so to speak.

Want me to slap your DH around the chops a bit?

openerofjars · 26/05/2012 21:30

Nah, he's getting my dinner.

My back bloody kills and I said this to DH. He said, "me too". Confused

There was a thread a while ago on things not to say to a heavily pregnant woman. I think he needs to read it.

Lunarlyte · 26/05/2012 21:33

Sorry, just read this and it's made me giggle! In the best way, of course x Good luck!

submarine · 26/05/2012 22:09

hope everything goes well, make sure you give his hand a really really hurrendous squeeze when you are in labour, he deserves it!

stottiecake · 26/05/2012 22:09

Oooh! Bet it won't be long now!! X

Good luck!!!

Exciting Grin

stottiecake · 26/05/2012 22:11

(p.s. it's barb btw)

openerofjars · 26/05/2012 22:40

It's stopped: watching a DVD with DH (we are now much nicer after food) and going to try to get some actual sleep tonight.

Orright, Barb? Wink

Think it's the very slow beginning of things, though it could go on for another two weeks like this if DS's birth was anything to go by! Slow labour, on and off, for at least ten bloody days. But at least I will get to my hair appointment.

If I go into real actual labour I will get back on here straight away. I am planning a home birth so will be able to keep the iPad with me.

PS I nearly broke his thumb last time. He said "Ow!". I said "Good!". Evil cow.

See you at 4am OP Wink

openerofjars · 26/05/2012 23:04

No way, I have an inch of roots showing! And a poor grasp on reality!

Jacksmania · 27/05/2012 01:19

Just to let you know, I'm 8 hours behind you (West Coast of Canada) so will be on for a good long time if this develops into a live birth thread :o

I do good labour support. Just sayin'.

openerofjars · 27/05/2012 08:33

Oh, bless you and thanks! No, teas not t be but I have had a huge night's sleep and feel like a human being, and DH is going to take DS downstairs and come back with coffee in a bit. I love Sundays.

OP posts:
openerofjars · 27/05/2012 08:46

'twas not to be,even. Still can't proofread.

OP posts:
openerofjars · 27/05/2012 21:23

Still here.

Hmm. It must have been one of those tired and dehydrated things as it was easily seen off by sleep and huge amounts of food.

But at least my hair will look naice when they induce me in a fortnight yeah right, not if I can help it

Hey ho.

OP posts:
stottiecake · 27/05/2012 21:49

Evening!

You've been losing plug tho'. That was the first sign for me with ds2 - turned bloody after about 4/5 days then waters then contractions and a super lovely unimaginabley self esteem boosting birth experience Grin Grin

so. Lots of time yet. Treat yourself. Won't be long x

stottiecake · 27/05/2012 21:51

er

to clarify

lots of time yet - to go into labour by yourself
won't be long - before you do

Jacksmania · 27/05/2012 22:40

Nothing?
That's ok, I can wait.

Glad you had a lovely Sunday morning! :)
