Ok, so I think I may possibly be in labour...

Was woken up at about 6.40 which lots of pain in my uterus, however this isn't unusual at the moment, but I couldn't get back to sleep as it was unusually painful, plus quite painful in my bottom which I haven't had till now, and feeling a little bit nauseous.

I've been to the loo and. well, you know, expelled stuff that needed expelling, and my show, which has been coming in bits for days is now bloody.

Pains are intermittent atm, and not really timable yet (I've been in constant bloody pain for weeks so finding it hard to tell the difference!)

Am planning a HWB, but my first labour what about 5-6 from start to finish, so am anticipating this one to be shorter. At what point should I call the MW?

DH is just getting ready and can hopefully take DD to nursery, just as I'd planned (see my cosmic ordering thread).

What do you think? Time to start filling up the pool?

Good good, that'll save your poor legs.... you sound like you're doing the right thing.

Have you got some nice music/crap TV to keep you distracted between contractions.... is DH rubbing your back too... you seem to be managing really well

Bumperlicious · 21/09/2010 12:35

Thanks for all the best wishes btw.

Just to set the scene MW is reading Prima magazine, DH reading the paper. He is liking HB so far! Though feels a little bit redundant.

Contractions getting longer and more intense.

DO you all really want me to keep updating?! Tell me if I am boring you Grin

FerminaUrbinoDaza · 21/09/2010 12:44

yy updates are fantastic, as long as you don't hold off getting into 'the zone' too long.

ohforfoxsake · 21/09/2010 12:46

..and we don't mind if DH takes over.

Its been ageeees since I've been on a birth thread. Bugger it, I have to pick up the car from the garage.

am really rather excited (and a little bit jealous Bumper!) I've loved all my homebirths.

ohforfoxsake · 21/09/2010 12:52

don't mind if DH takes over once you can't update anymore I mean.

Glued to the PC now. Hope you are OK Bumper.

Katz · 21/09/2010 12:52

good luck - get the MW to take over posting, sure there was an article in the newspaper yesterday about a women tweeting during her labour but its nothing compaired to the mumsnet live birth threads!

Portofino · 21/09/2010 12:55

Ooh - good luck! Today is a fabulous day to be born - tis my birthday too!

Sputnik · 21/09/2010 12:57

GiraffeYoga · 21/09/2010 12:58

Loving the live thread! Keep posting!

Bella32 · 21/09/2010 12:59

Happy Birthday, Portofino Wink

Have never actually been in on a live birth thread before. They usually happen too late for me.

DD has a friend coming to tea so early afternoon would suit me, Bumper. No pressure, mind Grin
