Ok, so I think I may possibly be in labour...

Was woken up at about 6.40 which lots of pain in my uterus, however this isn't unusual at the moment, but I couldn't get back to sleep as it was unusually painful, plus quite painful in my bottom which I haven't had till now, and feeling a little bit nauseous.

I've been to the loo and. well, you know, expelled stuff that needed expelling, and my show, which has been coming in bits for days is now bloody.

Pains are intermittent atm, and not really timable yet (I've been in constant bloody pain for weeks so finding it hard to tell the difference!)

Am planning a HWB, but my first labour what about 5-6 from start to finish, so am anticipating this one to be shorter. At what point should I call the MW?

DH is just getting ready and can hopefully take DD to nursery, just as I'd planned (see my cosmic ordering thread).

What do you think? Time to start filling up the pool?

Brillig. I tried for a home waterbirth. Midwife turned up when contractions were where you are now. I too was 3cms. 4hrs later I was fully dilated (contractions on top of each other by that point). So pushing for lunch I reckon?

Contractions are hurting more now. Taken some paracetamol. MW happy for me to do whatever. Tempted to get in the pool.

Good Luck - also a week or so behind you so been on some threads of yours! Here's hoping all done and dusted by time dd comes home from nursery!

KickArseQueen · 21/09/2010 10:09

Got any Arnica?? :)

Pain is good!!

Bumperlicious · 21/09/2010 10:13

Arnica, yes somewhere. DH was taking it for a bit for an ankle injury but must get him to find it.

Anything I should be doing? Feel at a bit of a loss at what to do apart from MN. MW must think I am a bit crazy!

OP posts:
KickArseQueen · 21/09/2010 10:24

Thats alright, tell her we all said hi Wink

dig out the arnica

walk about, do whatever normal stuff you feel like doing until you can't.

Bella32 · 21/09/2010 10:28

Just a (long) short list of names.

I don't floss, no Grin, only when I get food stuck between my teeth!

Oh excellant, saw your cosmic ordering thread, how cool that is working!!

Stay calm and keep breathing Grin

Good luck!

PomPotty · 21/09/2010 10:40

oh and defintely get in the pool if you feel like it.... my DH was sooo slow filling my pool (for fab fab HWB) that I only got to be in it less than an hour before birth and it felt absolutely divine.....

KickArseQueen · 21/09/2010 10:40

Oh just a thought, are you someone who likes everyone to be quiet during a contraction so that you can concentrate? If you do then let the MW know.

So what are the top names then?

Bumperlicious · 21/09/2010 10:41

I might just read my book in there for a bit, reading a trashy Jane Green novel!

OP posts:
Bumperlicious · 21/09/2010 10:42

Kickarse, still not decided on names at all! Right, getting in, so if I'm quiet, doesn't mean anything yet.

KickArseQueen · 21/09/2010 10:45

See you later :)

PomPotty · 21/09/2010 10:46

trashy novel in pool... sounds like bliss Smile

You need to train DH or MW to be your scribes or they need to invent a waterproof laptop/case for these type of situations....

How frequent are the contractions now...?
