Ok, so I think I may possibly be in labour...

Was woken up at about 6.40 which lots of pain in my uterus, however this isn't unusual at the moment, but I couldn't get back to sleep as it was unusually painful, plus quite painful in my bottom which I haven't had till now, and feeling a little bit nauseous.

I've been to the loo and. well, you know, expelled stuff that needed expelling, and my show, which has been coming in bits for days is now bloody.

Pains are intermittent atm, and not really timable yet (I've been in constant bloody pain for weeks so finding it hard to tell the difference!)

Am planning a HWB, but my first labour what about 5-6 from start to finish, so am anticipating this one to be shorter. At what point should I call the MW?

DH is just getting ready and can hopefully take DD to nursery, just as I'd planned (see my cosmic ordering thread).

What do you think? Time to start filling up the pool?

Hi Bumper - was thinking of you the other day. Hope thigns are going well - I'll keep thinking of you for sure now (better than working!) and will check back later for some lovely news!

Bumperlicious · 21/09/2010 12:12

Right, MW suggested a walk so just been to the shop for chocolate as we don't have nearly enough in the house! Contractions stopped a bit in the shop, but now back again.

Having a nibble on a sarnie, hungry work this.

Aw, thanks for answering the floss question, Bumper. Shall save the oral hygiene lecture for another day though Grin

thefirstmrsDeVere · 21/09/2010 12:13

Have you got a birthing ball? I didnt discover them till DC5. Brilliant fun and the only place I could stay sat down when mid contraction.

Hurry up, I have to go out in a bit Smile

Bumperlicious · 21/09/2010 12:16

I have got a ball but the baby has been so low down I'm finding it v uncomfy. Leaning over the table with the laptop atm.

walk and choc great idea... now eat choc after sarnie to keep strength up. You're getting there Smile

Bumperlicious · 21/09/2010 12:32

Ok, have got on the ball now so I can 'active' without having to make too much effort! That does seem to have sped them up, plus given me a distraction.
