Hi all. I am 38 plus 5 days pregnant and just wondering if there is any MN out there getting a little impatient with all this waiting. I am getting a lot of sharp pains and some back ache but nothing that really indicates that I will be going into labour any day soon. Anyone else feeling the same??? My EDD is 26th August - the day after my birthday so am looking forward to a really speacial birthday present Smile

Happy belated due date tweakers

Only just managed to get on the computer today. My DS is starting to get a real addiction for cbeebies on the internet. Im feeling a little guilty because if he asks to go on it at the moment, I let him at every opportunity so that I can have a rest! Anyway he has just gone off to feed some horses in the field near where we live and then we are going to do some junk modelling when he gets back so that should keep him entertained for a while Smile.

I think that things are moving on a little for me at the moment. The pains I have been getting most evenings have now started to come all this morning and afternoon. One of them was really, really painful and I thought this may be it but I will just have to wait and see - Allegragirl, I know what you mean about the pains driving you nuts. Me and DH are on the edge of our seats everytime I seem to get one.

Oh by the way - I havn't let my 3 year old wander off on his own to feed the horses, my DH is with hime Grin

It is so frustarting when your body teasers you that it may be going into labour. I feel that my body is having a right old laugh at me at my expense Smile. At least we all know things are starting to now move in the right direction.

I love this thread just thought I let everyone know still here (due 30th) as well. Nothing else but the odd sharp back pain. Have justed put a curry in the simmering oven hoping to eat a portion for lunch tomorrow and one for dinner Grin. It will probably happen tonight as planning HB and DH has done some DIY in the loundge is covered in white dust!!

Mmmm has seemed quiet on here today- i wonder if we have babies on the way!

Sadly not for me. :(

I've also been having lots of cramps although given up telling hubby because nothing has been coming of it, i think he thinks i'm making a big deal out of nothing!

TMI- My body is having a big clear out though!

candinha I am also having a HB and find myself keeping the house majorly tidy because i don't want to go into labour (have relatively quick births) and be worrying about the state of the kitchen or whatever.

I'm also a little sad as this is our last baby and once the birth is over, i'll never ever be pregnant again.

Anyone else on their last baby feel this way?

tweakers · 29/08/2010 19:22

ooh dancing...clearing out is good!!

skye personally, i'm ignoring your comments re a child free night Grin

inzi could you be nesting with all that ironing?! i ironed a week's worth of shirts for my DH the day before DS was born. NB I hate ironing and avoid it at all costs!

absolutely nothing happening here and yes, i too have stopped telling DH. i feel like i've been crying wolf for the last 3 weeks!

and yes re hb and keeping house tidy!

and yes re last baby too. tbh, i always knew we'd stop at two so i guess i came to terms with it a long time ago. i suspect it'll be hard in a year or so once this baby isn't a wee baby anymore but at the moment, not feeling sad

oh and welcome candinha...is this your first?

tweakers · 29/08/2010 19:23

sorry candinha, just realised you're already on our list and that this is DC3 Blush

DancingOnMyBladder · 29/08/2010 19:42

Oh i'm glad you said that tweakers re the clear out! I don't remember it happening before.

I'm tempting all fates by doing things which are bound to mean i'll go into labour. Off to costco tomorrow without DH but following my parents in my car. Its about 45 mins away though!

What are your bank hol plans?

Candinha · 29/08/2010 19:53

Dancingonmybladder - yes I am a little sad as I know DC3 will be the last one and I will never be PG again. Won't miss the MS I have to say...

I have been madly trying to have kitchen and loundge tidy and clean for a week now in case MWs have to turn up - it is difficult though, DH doesn't really get the tidy concept and DC1 and DC2 just add to the mess!

tweakers · 29/08/2010 20:17

dancing its apparently meant to be your body getting ready for things to come. i'm a little skeptical myself!
ooh you're living life on the edge tomorrow Grin

Roz14 · 29/08/2010 21:07

Hi all - just to let you know that those really strong pains I was having earlier have now more or less disappeared. I too keep shouting to my DH 'I think this may be it' but he just seems to look at me in disbelief but does try to reassure me at the same time, bless him.

I am definately going to plan to do something tomorrow, as I thing my DS is starting to get cabin fever. We did do some junk modelling earlier but I dont think he will want to make anymore Robots and cars tomorrow Grin

We may take him to the museum tomorrow - it has got some great stuff for the little ones and it is opposite the hospital, so if I put my bag in the car I think I will be ok to go Hmm

I too keep getting a little sad that this may be my last pregnancy. I think I would be happy to go on and have a third but when I have mentioned it to my DH, he tends to look at me a bit like this Hmm Hmm Hmm

tweakers · 29/08/2010 21:13

oh no! i read the preview Hi all - just to let you know that those really strong pains I was having and thought/hoped the next bit was 'well i've had my baby!'

hmm, not sure what we're going to do tomorrow. a friend has just invited me to a farm for the day Hmm

marzipananimal · 29/08/2010 21:54

i thought the same tweakers!

Still here I'm afraid, 40+11 tomorrow, gah!
This is my first DC and planning to have more but I can't say I'm looking forward to being pregnant again! Maybe i'll be nostalgic about it when it's my last one though

Here's hoping something happens tonight

Roz14 · 29/08/2010 22:20

Sorry for getting your hopes up - I have just read it back to myself and it does sound like I was going to make a big announcement.

I am starting to get cramping pains again (as I always seem to do at this time) but without going into too much detail also noticed some kind of whitish dischargy/gunk down the toilet. I am not sure if this is the start of a show or not Blush

Now it has got to the 29th, I am happy for my DC to stay where she is for a few days (1st September) but I have just got a feeling, she will decide to make an appearance 1 min to midnight on the 31st August - either way I will be happy to see her but if she is feeling a little lazy, that will be ok too Smile

The trip to the farm sounds good tweakers - are you going to traet yourself Grin

Marzipananimal - Lets hope so but either way not long for you now - it is all soooo exciting.

I am going to try and go for a lie down now, as these cramps are getting a little achey.

OP posts:
tweakers · 29/08/2010 22:27

a farm trip? seriously?? being surrounded by smelly animals and their poo is the last thing i want to do tomorrow!! and i'm sure its a bit of a health risk atm too! and that's without considering the 45mins drive AND running round after Ds what planet is she on?!

hope you get some sleep roz

CakeandFineWine · 30/08/2010 04:22

Hello all, insomnia has kicked in for me again! GGRRHH Slept from 11:30-4ish tho which is better than previous nights. Had Really bad period pains early eve and v.strong BH also lost some "water" bout an eggcup amount but now NADDA!!! All this teasing is SOO frustrating..........

DancingOnMyBladder · 30/08/2010 05:22

Oh glad to see i'm not the only one up at stupid o'clock.

Woke up around 3am and just can't get back off to sleep so have come down and already had some breakfast!

I can't believe we are all so close with so many signs and sypmtoms but we just can't seem to get going :)

roz you sound really close- i think you could be next! :)

tweakers I agree about the farm- sounds like to much hard work to have fun. I'm a right miserable cow atm and anytime someone mentions something 'fun' to do i just screw my face up and let them no i'm not ready to have any fun yet until this baby decides to make an appearance!

tweakers · 30/08/2010 06:36

another one awake at stupid o'clock but i stayed in bed and read. i thought i'd try a back to sleep at 5.30ish and DS woke up Hmm He's exhausted, sitting on my lap whilst i'm typing this!

oh and sorry , forgot to say good morning!
