1200 calories a day = 28" waist Levi's 501

Hi I am starting today to eat 1200 calories a day. I'm 5'8 and currently weigh 13st. I lost 6st 2 years ago and reached 10st. Unfortunately life/work got in the way and I took my eye of the ball and regained. I did calorie counting before and it worked, so I am trying again.

I'm hoping to fit into my beloved 28 Waist Levi's 501 jeans. I treated myself to a pair, once I'd slimmed down. I want to wear them again.

Some great results! Well done everyone.

At my last weigh in I lost another 2lbs but that was over a week ago, last week was my birthday weekend and I indulged! Fully expecting to put the weight back on I didn't weigh myself this week as I didn't want to feel disheartened and I have been trying to be good since Monday but I'm struggling to refocus with all the cake, chocolate, sweets, baked goods in the house.

BUT slip ups happen, I can't expect to stay off treats forever. Today is a new day and I'm determined not to snack! I tend to find that once I've got a couple of good days under my belt I'm ok, fingers crossed I can make it through the day. I was fine yesterday until I ate a lot of pick and mix followed by a gin and tonic in the evening......!

Completely agree about not letting a bit of gain derail the whole project.

I put 1.5lb back on this week. Then lost another 0.5lb. A bit of fluctuation is OK - not that it feels like that when the scales are going in the wrong direction. So disheartening.

Morning all.

I was also in the category of put on a little but am back down to 61.2kg now. I’ve actually upped to 1400 cals a day for the last week or so and upped step target to 1500 a day although I don’t always hit it. I’ve found that has worked well for me as I was struggling a bit with the 1200 so I needed to ease off for a bit to get me back on track. This is working well for me at the moment but obviously means I will lose more slowly.

How’s everyone else been getting on?

Hello everyone, sounds like some great work going on! I've been a bit quiet the last couple of weeks because I've been annoyingly stuck around the 10st8lbs-10st 7lbs mark, just flipping between them. It was making me very despondent. However this morning I've dropped down to 10st 5lbs so on cloud 9! Especially as we had a food and booze filled weekend with friends. Perhaps it is right that sometimes you need to let go and almost reset yourself. Or I might just be using that as an excuse!
It means I'm just over half way and with one more pound I'll have lost a full stone, so I'm very happy indeed. Trousers etc starting to feel baggy!

How is everyone else doing?

PersonaNonGarter · 16/07/2020 15:11

I haven’t got on the scales or logged my food for about a week - I am scared to. I really need to get back on the wagon.

Everyone else’s success will spur me on.

Batqueen · 16/07/2020 15:53

Well done @lurchermom!

Cmon @PersonaNonGarter, you can do it!

I have been stuck on 60.5kg for a while now, BUT it’s period week when normally I’d put on a bit so I’m hoping that when it’s over I’ll be down a full cat! (59.5kg will be a full cat 4.5kg in total)

Adore the measurement of weight via cat Grin

Right, your posts have definitely spurred me on. Two days til holiday and I will step on the scales before I head to the airport...

MirandaWest · 16/07/2020 16:50

I’ve lost about our cat since starting this. Have got a way to go yet.... (I’ve lost 4.9kg and think cat is a bit less than that)

I'm joining the 1200 calorie bandwagon and using MFP to track. After 2 kids I am 14st 1lbSad I once got down to 9st 3lbs and would love to be that again but that was when I had time to go to the gym and train for races! So ideally I have just under 5st to lose which feels like a huge amount so I'll celebrate the little victories!
