no need to ever wash your baby's face, just wait until she pulls off and gets squirted, rub it in, et voila!

You can indulge in crap daytime TV without feeling the least bit guilty that the ironing hasn't been done in two weeks

WoTmania · 04/11/2009 18:37

oxytocin

duchesse · 04/11/2009 18:44

you don't have to feel guilty for not interracting actively with your baby while they feed as they are in a trance and have their eyes closed anyway.

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 04/11/2009 18:47

i feel slightly guilty when I haven't ironed for 2 years!
And I think the blissed out feeding thing prob isn't exclusive to bf - I seem to remember DH looking pretty blissed out as he fed DS - they had identical expressions
ahhhh

You can do it when asleep.

Although I would not class sleeping as trivial

comewhinewithme · 04/11/2009 20:19

You can piss your mother when your dd is one day old and she says "that'll last a week" she is now eating her words as dd is 6 months old .

You can read and feed.

You can have a bath and feed.

You can sleep and feed.

AnyFuleKno · 04/11/2009 20:23

You can make dh fetch you things while you feed. The remote, snacks, drinks, the phone, magazines.

You have an excuse to leave the room at boring events if you want to.

It feels great to look at your strong healthy child after you've finished breastfeeding forever and think 'I did that'.

Restrainedrabbit · 04/11/2009 20:24

Cake, cake, cake, cake, cake

WheeeFreshSparkleBang · 04/11/2009 20:25

bf hormones make you sleep better

nuff said, for me!

MrsMotMot · 04/11/2009 20:35

Even more cake.

No spots.

No periods.

No moodiness (above three quite obviously are related!)

Lovely oxytocin making me feel all loved up... ahhhh

Longtalljosie · 04/11/2009 20:56

You can eat what the hell you want (but esp cake!). And you get to have a go at having big boobs!

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 05/11/2009 07:15

I'm afraid some of these just aren't trivial enough (thinking particularly of cake!)

duchesse · 05/11/2009 11:04

OK, OK, you want trivial?

Fully bf baby poo doesn't smell as bad.

StealthPolarBear · 05/11/2009 13:44

i thought of another...but forgot it

StealthPolarBear · 05/11/2009 13:45

oh yes, maternity underwears so practical yet stylish

stuffitllllama · 05/11/2009 13:46

lovely temporary bosoms

StealthPolarBear · 05/11/2009 13:46

being told 'well done' by strangers in supermarkets

stuffitllllama · 05/11/2009 13:50

the comedy of having a breast larger than a human head and having to peer round it to check breathing

StealthPolarBear · 05/11/2009 13:58

the joy and excitement in a newborns eyes as you unhook your bra
"all that? ... for me? ~"

StealthPolarBear · 05/11/2009 14:00

well thats dd's face wash for the day

BunnyLebowski · 05/11/2009 14:02

Watching dd squeal with delight as I undo my bra

Not having to spend money on formula/bottles

Being skinnier than before getting pregnant

catastrojb · 05/11/2009 14:03

you get to see your dc at least occasionally when visiting large and enthusiastically adoring family...

500 extra calories per day. at least 2 slices of cake, surely?
