You can indulge in crap daytime TV without feeling the least bit guilty that the ironing hasn't been done in two weeks

you don't have to feel guilty for not interracting actively with your baby while they feed as they are in a trance and have their eyes closed anyway.

i feel slightly guilty when I haven't ironed for 2 years!
And I think the blissed out feeding thing prob isn't exclusive to bf - I seem to remember DH looking pretty blissed out as he fed DS - they had identical expressions

You can do it when asleep.

Although I would not class sleeping as trivial

You can piss your mother when your dd is one day old and she says "that'll last a week" she is now eating her words as dd is 6 months old .

You can read and feed.

You can have a bath and feed.

You can sleep and feed.

You can make dh fetch you things while you feed. The remote, snacks, drinks, the phone, magazines.

You have an excuse to leave the room at boring events if you want to.

It feels great to look at your strong healthy child after you've finished breastfeeding forever and think 'I did that'.

Cake, cake, cake, cake, cake

bf hormones make you sleep better

nuff said, for me!

Even more cake.

No spots.

No periods.

No moodiness (above three quite obviously are related!)

Lovely oxytocin making me feel all loved up... ahhhh

You can eat what the hell you want (but esp cake!). And you get to have a go at having big boobs!

I'm afraid some of these just aren't trivial enough (thinking particularly of cake!)

the comedy of having a breast larger than a human head and having to peer round it to check breathing

the joy and excitement in a newborns eyes as you unhook your bra

well thats dd's face wash for the day

Watching dd squeal with delight as I undo my bra

Not having to spend money on formula/bottles

Being skinnier than before getting pregnant

you get to see your dc at least occasionally when visiting large and enthusiastically adoring family...

500 extra calories per day. at least 2 slices of cake, surely?

you can internet shop read MN read mind-expanding bbc news websites while feeding with no guilt...
