no need to ever wash your baby's face, just wait until she pulls off and gets squirted, rub it in, et voila!

lol yes, the "hand her back now" is so nice!

CatIsSleepy · 05/11/2009 14:06

trivial reasons?
am lazy

it's free

actually those are pretty non-trivial reasons now I come to think of it

Bettymum · 05/11/2009 14:15

Cake.
Antibiotic spray available on tap 24 hours a day for conjunctivitis, rashes etc.
Cake.
Ready-made excuse to leave boring social situations.
Cake.
Comedy boobs.
Cake.
The sight of your DC after a feed looking happier than any human being has ever looked before.
Cake.
Looking at photos of your gorgeous 6-month old DD and knowing she grew that big and delicious all because of you and your boobs.
Oh, and cake. And biscuits .

BunnyLebowski · 05/11/2009 14:20

Betty I think you forgot about the cake?

A 13 months and still going this thread is reminding me why!

euroghoul · 05/11/2009 14:44

Nothing to add but a little teary thanks for this thread - ds is 5mo and starts nursery tomorrow - am feeling a bit wobbly about being without him for all of 3 hours, but am much cheered up by the thought of the look on his face as the boobs are unveiled for the first time after picking him up .

Hmm now where did I put my cake?

jumpjockey · 05/11/2009 14:53

Not having to decide what to wear each morning as your wardrobe comprises only 5 bfing tops and there's usually only 2 not in the wash at any one time.

Or is that just me being very very lazy?

StealthPolarBear · 05/11/2009 15:05

good luck eg, he'll love it (nursery i mean, boobs goes without saying!)

Bettymum · 05/11/2009 15:25

Good luck euroghoul!
My DD started nursery fulltime at 8 months, I fed her morning and evening till she was 16 months, it was a lovely way to start and finish the day.
I'm expecting DC2 in April and already looking forward to BFing again.
Oh, and the cake .

StealthPolarBear · 05/11/2009 15:27

I can almost smell the cake on this thread
I'm making chocolate truffles!

BoobBuffet · 05/11/2009 15:30

Breakfast in bed. Can't possibly get up and get my own before feeding DS

I see your cakes, and raise them with a cream tea. Mmmm

1stMrsF · 05/11/2009 16:25

And I'll raise you the catering boxes of Cadbury's Fudges that my Dad has bought me (I'm on box number 3 ) to sustain me through bf.

I'll also add being able to silence crying baby almost instantly in public (or even at home)

And the smugness pride I feel having bf twins for 6 months.

BoobBuffet · 05/11/2009 16:27

StealthPolarBear · 05/11/2009 16:33

where do you get these fantastic dps?

StealthPolarBear · 05/11/2009 16:34

yres, i love reading & get to do plenty

sweetkitty · 05/11/2009 16:40

Getting out of putting the big two to bed as you have to lie down, watch the soaps and feed the baby

Pissing your mother off who told you there is no way you will be able to feed that big baby by yourself

Justifying the cost of lovely Hot Milk nursing bras

That look of sheer and utter happiness when the baby latches on, oh I miss it

The extra calories you NEED to eat (mostly in the form of chocolate)

LMAO when DD2 announced to the old woman in the supermarket that DD3 doesn't need a bottle she needs a BOOB

catastrojb · 05/11/2009 19:08

sweetkitty - you have set up dd2 to be a bf advocate for life, nice one!

just thought of another; dd giggling with nip in her mouth! oh, and that just-popped-off-and-really-quite-full smile that only i get to see...

again, not very trivial, but rather lovely. oh, and this is a great thread as i go through YET ANOTHER issue with blisters (but that is another thread...).

mmmmmmm fudge....but cake is still good.

ChickandDuck · 05/11/2009 19:22

Immediate silence... no hopping around with baby trying desperatley trying to cool a bottle!

Jacksmama · 05/11/2009 19:26

Love this thread!!!!
Immediate silence when 21-month-old throws a strop and you pick him up and plop him on the boob.

Cake.

StealthPolarBear · 05/11/2009 19:38

oh yes the silence and peace
and watching toddlers feed their toys!
Not so much fun when they ask you to do it - I feed enough thanks, without having to also demand feed a La-La and your stuffed giraffe

SofaKingLoud · 05/11/2009 19:59

Earning 'points' with DH.

I fed his DS for 7.5 mnths (so far and still going strong) so to not buy me the mulberry bayswater would just be very bad manners on his part.

Has anybody mentioned cake?

Iggi999 · 05/11/2009 20:09

Ds clapping when brought to me for his bedtime feed - when else do you get actual applause!
