Racist abuse of Saka, Sancho and Rashford after penalty misses

This is why I don't support England and was dreading them winning as I don't think the fans deserve it. They don't deserve those boys.

The boys are English when they score goals but monkeys and the N word when they don't.

Rashford runs a campaign to feed starving kids and gets nothing but racial and other types of abuse week in week out. Sterling regularly vilified in the press for buying his mum a house and his wife shopping at Primark 🙄. Both rise above it and are nothing but professional in their measured comments. And they have to be or it would just get worse.

The right wing press if this country feeds the jingoism, racism and xenophobia and this place is just a cesspool now.

The lip service paid to the situation: the statements 'condeming' the racism and the pathetic kneeing (which the English fans have charmingly taken to booing). A nation that has to tell it's fans not to racially abuse its team because they lost a football game is not one to be proud of.

@EchoNan

Rousette I'm thinking of my reaction should my son come home from work and tell me that a beaver had been named after him. Shock
🤣🤣🤣

@Roussette

Also pleased to see Rashford and Sancho have gone off on holiday together to Caribbean. Ahead of the footie season starting. And far better than going to No. 10 to have Johnson jumping on the bandwagon. I just knew that wasn't going to happen.
What is it they say

Living well is the best revenge

😀 pleased theyve gone away for a wee bit, they deserve it

@Roussette

This is lovely. The first lil baby beaver born on Exmoor for 400 years... the NT opened up a poll to name him.

Overwhelmingly by public vote... he is going to be named 'Rashford'.

Smile

Here he is!

Awww baby beaver Rashford sooo cute, I hope it has cheered him a little

Sorry if this is slightly off thread @HmmmmmmInteresting but I didn’t want to start a new thread but thought it pertinent enough to go here. The statement Rashford has made is very succinct - the last line is quite sad but true; why can’t people just want to do something nice?!

Hi @Orchidflower1
I started a thread on this in Chat because I wasn't depressed enough www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/4302045-The-Spectator-planning-to-run-a-hit-piece-on-Marcus-Rashford-tomorrow?msgid=109263745#109263745

I saw your thread there Hmmmmmm
At least one poster has him down as a tax evader already.
On no evidence whatsoever.
He must really upset those who don't like their stereotypes of young black men being overthrown.

Head high Marcus. Proud of you.

C130 · 21/07/2021 10:22

I think even more of him now, reading his reply to these low lives who seek to pull him down. Football

I'm glad to see he got in there first, well done Marcus!

I'm now wondering if that article will ever see the light of day...Hmm

What a load of hinting about wrong doings on that other thread.
It's pathetic.
Doing their own judge and jury based on some hearsay one of them made up at the beginning of the thread.
