mlic dp insists on doing it, no doubt when he goes back to work i'll be doing the same as you, pity we don't have a spare room. Just realised how much dp has been spoiling me since lo was born, i'm so going to miss him x

mlic ooh I see what you mean now, yeah my nights are exactly like that too.
It wasnt as bad last night as he would drop off to sleep as soon as he'd had a feed but has been known other nights to be up for an hour and half.

Im clinging on to the hope that in a few weeks he might settle into a better night/day routine.

still cant get pics on its driving me mad!!!
i have my mum on call if i need her monday night but i feel im a big girl and a mum now so i have to be barave and bite the bullet and do it alone!!!
Lyndon is such a guts he keeps bolting his bottle then projectile vomiting like the exorsist, think he only does it so he gets a bath, he loves it in there and realy splashes about!!!
has anyone had loss of appitite since having baby? i could go the whole day without eating if dh didnt force me to eat hes worried i wont feed myself when hes back at work, but i just dont fancy anything!!
dh hope dylan settels into better routine soon, my friend who is breast feeding is up every hour every night her hv says it will settle down once hes layed down his fat stores

Hello all,
Chulita's DH here, just to let you know, Samson William =) was born at 0115hrs this morning (24th July) weighing in at 8lb 3oz. Delivered by c-section after 23hrs of hard work, I'm very proud of her.

Memphis if I remember correctly after DS was born I had zero appetite for a few weeks. Could manage light food though, and became a fruit-a-holic! Virtually lived off grapes, pears, melons, satsumas...DH got to know our green grocer very well!!

After a couple of weeks I became ravenous though. Thought it might be to do with DS size and how much he was drinking. I ate full fat everything and dessert after every meal and even more than one piece of cake at a time at several coffee mornings a week!

I wouldn't recommend it though, as the weight stayed off whilst bf ing, but then stacked on when he weaned (and I found it hard to break my cake/chocolate habit!)

We are having a picnic for my birthday, but mum and sis and BiL are already over an hour late , so we might have to go without them soon. DS is getting mad because DH promised him we were going to play in the park 'soon' and it is 'soon' now apparently!

DS got me a lovely card for a special sister. Apparently he had wanted to get me sorry for your loss, then get well soon, but DH managed to convince him to choose from the bday section at least!

Congratulations chulita!! so glad little Samson is safe and well. I know it's disappointing haaving the section after labouring so long (I did 19hrs with DS, then section) but I reckon if he didn't come out after all that, he was never going to!

Think Samson is an awesome name, and also love William, but I'm bias because that is DS name!

memphis i haven't had much of an appetite either but its picking up a bit. All i've done is ate when i'm hungry even if it was crap lol

I'M A MUMMY!!!

Hi girls, sorry for the long absence- just got home yesterday afternoon.

Sam was born at 9.55pm on Monday 19th, 8lb 3oz is official weight however they made a mistake and have now estimated 7lb 4oz! Labour was very hard and fast- more details later.
Decided to stay put in hosp and get lots of rest and support with feeding.

Sam is such a laid back baby and been feeding well from the beginning. i've had some probs getting latch right so got cracked nipples but working my way through it now! Just hope the calm remains at home!

Oh wow- I didn't know it was possible to feel this much love and adoration! it is out of this world!

Be back later with full story- can't take my eyes off him long enough to write anymore just now!!

stac wrt to the bottles im making them 6 at a time. i boil the kettle and dont let it cool down and fill the water and leave them in a clean place. they're sterile then for 24 hours and i have the little tubs (powder dispenser) and fill them and then when i need a bottle mix the 2 as that way the bottle isnt getting a chance for bacteria to grow. this is the way the nurse in hospital told me and the health nurse although they both said they have to tell me the reccomended way too but they said this way is fine. much easier tha making them each time.
ellie is after falling asleep on me after her feed and the little noises coming out og her are so sweet!!!she's a very noisy sleeper
memphis i was finding the same with my appetite until yesterday.was literally living on 2 slices of bread a day.
well have started giving her the infacol before each feed and she's getting her wind up quicker but stil not getting the last bit of wind up. its as if the effects of it have wore off by the end of the bottle

Just posting and running hobbling. Baby wonder born yesterday morning at 8.21am - in the end quite a speedy delivery and I'm feeling much better than after dd was born, so all the early stop start labour seems to have been worthwhile in the end. My boy weighed 8lb 1oz and seems sleepy and chilled - lets hope he stays that way - his big sis is beside herself - I think he'll learn to walk early to get away from her.

cheers kk think i'll try that, how have you found it since dp went back to work? I'm a bit nervous, being silly i think since Rileigh is generally very content. I found the same with infacol thats why i use dentinox as it goes in her feed.

memphis yeah I hope hes good for me tonight too! We took him for a really long walk down the beach earlier so hoping thats tired him out enough to sleep through the night a bit better.
Sounds like your friend has it quite bad though, Dylan was feeding every hour the first couple of nights and its horrid.
Also Im the same, Ive hardly eaten anything today, I fell asleep at 10am and woke up and had breakfast instead of lunch so havent been hungry at all, so much different to during last weeks of pregnancy when I was eating everything in site!

I've not been on for a few weeks as i have no internet connection at my new place and baby Dreya arrived last saturday - cant believe she's been here for a week already.

I went for a sweep at 39+6 and my midwife said i was already 2cm dilated but to be honest i thought i probably still had at least a week to wait.
Dreya had other ideas and contractions started at 3pm and continued into the night gettin to 5 minutes apart. By morning they had tailed off a bit but still coming between 8 and 5 minutes apart so went to get checked out in hospital.

Upon examination i was told i was already 6cm dilated!! Unfortunately i stayed this way throughout the day, in and out of birth pool had a walk round the hospital to get things going and was then told baby was back to back presentation and i was 9.5cm dilated so still couldnt push!

This was when i realised i had gotten away lightly so far. For the next 2.5 hours i was told i couldnt push and by the time they said i could at 10pm i had no energy left.
i gave it my all for another 2 hours before i was given a spinal and forceps delivery as they finally admitted i never could have delivered due to the position of her head.

Dreya Marie weighed 7lb 11.5oz and has a full head of black hair. She is totally amazing and i'm so smitten - pic uploaded.

Frank has time in the day when he vomits everything and other times he is just fine. I alk up today with a very bad neck! From all the carrying, bending and breastfeeding. ;(

stac i went to chemist and they told me to only give the dentinox if she has colic and since she's not screaming the place down i dont think she has colic. do you find the dentinox good? i'll se how we go til monday and if i think she needs its i'll get the dentinox. dp just feeding her here now and he only has to sit her up and she burps!lol! im finding it tough enough to be honest. just find that i never get the chance to sit down and theres always something that needs doing between sterilising bottles and making them and washing and cleaning. have been teary a few times but im lucky in the way that shes good. but she never really seems content to just sit in her bouncer by herself or anything when she's awake. looking forward to tommorrow when dp can do all sterilising and bottles. whens your dp back to work?

I'm just having another go at uploading pics must not have saved.
I breastfed exclusively until last night when i gave in and gave Dreya a bottle. She does not latch on easily and the midwife said she is slightly tonguetyed which doesnt help. i'm still expressing but cant continue feeding exclusively as something supposedly natural has turned into a bit of a battle in getting her to latch then stay latched.
I've been using infacol as Dreya is quite windy and reluctant to bring it up.

kk Dp goes back on Wednesday, he is dreading it doesnt want to leave his baby girl lol. DD doesnt have colic but think that may be because the dentinox is good at getting the wind up.
