Congratulations wwsw, that's fantastic!

memphis83 · 29/06/2010 09:23

Wow WWSW i go to bed after reading your post that sweep didnt seem to have been great and wake to find youve had your little boy congratulations!!!! sounds like an inspirational short labour!

has everyone actually physically wrote a birth plan? i have what i want in my head but not on paper! got midwife at 2.30 until then im just going to potter about the house! think i should get something better for me than breakfast than the kitkat im eating

beckyg123 · 29/06/2010 09:31

stac i go to the rainbow rooms training academy and get the students to do it for cheap yeh i figured if they don't fit my boobs now i'll have no hope when the milk comes in!

emster yeh i have written my birth plan in my notes- nothing major, just a brief outline of my wishes (like DH being with me the whole time, like to use pool and gas and air and want to avoid morphine and epidural if poss) but also that i'm open to medical advice where necessary!
lol at the nutritional breakfast! i had 2 hobnobs!

Chulita · 29/06/2010 09:38

stac I invited them down actually, just for the one night (I think). I've got a hospital appt at 9am and no one can watch DD at that time. She's a nightmare if we bring her in and DH likes to come with me. DH also gets on really well with his mum and not so well with his dad but they always come together so it's a bit of a result to have her and not him, lol!

I'm off to toddler group now and will deffo eat a few biccies

Congratulations!! wwsw told you things can change very quickly up there in subsequent pregnancies!! Edward's a lovely name and sounds like it was nice and quick.

Yay my prayers were answered its rained here overnight! lovely its nice and cool!

Have had ds1 appointment through for CAMHS- wait for it...12th july nevermind, they said they would ring if they got a cancellation!

Gracie123 · 29/06/2010 09:58

So impressed with you inviting guests around chulita. DH wants to have each of our friends over for goodbye dinner/drinks over the next two weeks, but I couldn't face it. The compromise is that we are going to have a big BBQ with an open invite to everyone so that I only have to entertain once.

It's not that I won't miss people, it's just a really inconvenient time to be entertaining. You wouldn't believe the number of people who are still ringing up trying to get individual goodbye time with us. On top of all the end of term school functions I'm expected to attend I can't cope! Plus I felt like a complete idiot practically being carried into 2 black tie dinners last week, then not being able to leave my seat!

There was a cracking thunder storm last night. Pretty impressive. I'm just glad it held off until early hours, because DH took DS sailing at 6.30 and they didn't get back until nearly 9pm! I'd have been really worried if that storm was going before they got home!

You can add me to the list of bad breakfasts. So far today I've had a croissant with Nutella, and the last chocolate brownie. Oops! Yesterday I was better behaved, a low fat yoghurt and a pot full of cherries.

Picked up my birthing pool yesterday! DH and I are going to get it set up this evening. LO just needs to stay put for another 48 hours, then I'm good to go.

Wonderstuff · 29/06/2010 10:26

Congratulations WWSW Lovely name

Gracie sorry you are feeling so awful - hope the physio appt helps

Spireal I love the 'pending' idea.

Wright Stuff, then repack my baby stuff into my shiney new change bag (unbelieveably excited about this), then put clothes away and do a white wash, little nap, wash the dining floor if I can muster the energy then pick up dd, dinner then bed.

memphis83 · 29/06/2010 10:26

glasto at least youve now got a date that you will be seen! fingers crossed they will have a cancellation for you sooner though!

in a terrible mood, dh's gran is very poorly we went to see her last night but he does typical man thing of being blinkered and couldnt even look at her as she looked in agony, today he is in a terrible mood just called and was very off talking like me being pregnant is an inconvenience now as he has lots of other stuff going on, i love his gran 2, plus i am classed as a main carer for my bed bound nan (both are like mums to us) but this woe me crap is winding me up, sorry for rant not normally one to rant about dh but im all grrrrr!!!

stac14 · 29/06/2010 11:37

i'm bad breakie list, bread and jam although in my defence its sugar free due to diabetes.

becky thats the best thing bout the training rooms you get the same hairdo at a fraction of the cost

Thats not too bad then chulite at least they have a use when they come down

Poor you memphis I dont think men think past whats happening to them. It was the same last week when i told dp that i needed him at the hospital and all he could think bout was his feckin work so we had a lovely set too. X

kkfairybrains · 29/06/2010 12:14

wow wwsw congrats! big hugs to you and edward! so quick! now i want a sweep!
wonder if jojo is a mummy yet?!
gracie that sounds really horrendous hun. you must be in agony and you seem in such good spirits all the time. your definately right about having a bbq and let everyone help themselves.
spireal laughed so much at 'pending'!
stac we went to see get him to the greek.was very funny although i was expecting it to be funnier but was still a good laugh!
memphis men can be real annoying like that sometimes but i think they dont realise what they're doing.everyone has they're moments!
well thought there might be something doing here this morning but no! we went for dinner before the cinema and i had a hot thai green curry (which i didnt particularly enjoy cos i dont like real hot food) then laughed loads at the cinema then woke up from quite a raunchy dream at 7:30 this morn so woke dp up and done the deed. but none of it worked! just not going to bother trying anymore and resign myself to the fact that baby will come when its good and ready and its just a coincedence if it happens after any of these things! just going to enjoy the baby free time i have left and eat what i enjoy cos it'll be coming to a swift halt once baby is out! have my diet thing all ready for off!
rained real heavy here all day and night yesterday and i still woke up in the middle of the night with the sweat literally dripping down my chest.and im not a sweaty person and am always cold normally!
no real plans for today.have to go into town to the post officw but apart from that just gonna lie around!

stac14 · 29/06/2010 12:59

glaston the good thing is you know something is being done even if its a fortnights time, your right to ask about a cancellation though. You have been waiting a while for someöne to see ds1 so totally understand your frustration hun, hope its sooner for you

spireal thanks for sorting the list hope the arrivals grow quickly lol

kk hun, what a nightmare, they don't always work with ds i tried everything. Maybe you should get the clary sage the same as the other ladies. Whats the diet your starting once lo is here? I am going back to scottish slimmers but its more healthy eating. Are you ok? You seem fed up?

Looking forward to hearing from jojo

memphis83 · 29/06/2010 13:57

kk i think ive given up on trying everything as well, and i was thinking that i should just enjoy gorging on cakes, ice cream, adding cream to my coffee, and eating chocolates as it will be salads and healthy boring stuff once baby is here! i was laughing last night about women who when trying for a baby want to jump on their fellas every spare minute to get a baby in there then it seems to start again at the end of pregnancy to try and get baby out!!

im so bored waiting for mw appointment, had a relaxing bath to calm me down as im still so angry about dh's attitude, since being pregnant i cant let things drop!! i drive myself mad!

wonder if jojo is getting cuddles from her little one yet?

kkfairybrains · 29/06/2010 14:07

stac yeah im fine! not fed up or not in a really good mood........just bored i think! have nothing to do! after my big nesting thing last week theres not a corner of the house not cleaned! going into town now and havent ate anything yet cos theres nothing in so gonna get myself a yummy bagel! the diet im doing isn't really a diet as such.i got a blood test done a couple of weeks ago and they test 300 foods on your blood to see what foods are slowing down your metabolism and making you put on weight and bring down your energy levels.my energy level was 1 and it should be 35! so got my list and it doesnt seem too bad but theres a few things on it that im enjoying eating while preg so gonna wait til after. its random things like mushrooms, pork, coffee, bananas! very weird but it definately works!
memphis lol at us jumping on the men! i actually have my mojo back the last couple of days and really want it where it hasnt bothered me to not do it that much the last couple of months so maybe its a subconcious thing that i want the baby out! and im with you on the chocolate and cream cakes! might just have a big dirty bun after my bagel!
might get some clary sage while im in town too.........

viksam · 29/06/2010 14:23

Hi everyone,
Im moving to this thread now for good i think.
Wicked How ace,Congratulations! Come back on ASAP and tell us all about it! When you say an hour and a half do u mean from start to finish, all 3 stages? If so WOW, i big time hope it rubs off on us all!!
I went to my last antenatal class at the hospital this morning, it was all about the second stage and what to expect. It was very good but it has scared me a bit and now im feeling rather aprehensive. Im 37+5 so i guess it could be any time with in the next 4 weeks really. I think its the not knowing thats frustrating.
Hope everyone is ok, im quite happy with my own company at the moment, dont even want to speak to anyone on the phone, just in a quiet mood at the moment.

Chulita · 29/06/2010 14:36

If anyone's missing bits and bobs, SALE30 on this website gets you 30% off til the end of the month.

I'm itching to hear wwsw 's story too!

OP posts:
stac14 · 29/06/2010 14:59

lol memphis like kk i couldnt be bothered but now i'm back in the mood. It is hard to calm down when you've been angered, i have days when rationally i know i need to calm down but cant. Hope you get dh to see your point

Im bored too kk theres no structure to my day as ds has finished school so long lies have kicked in. Housework done, bags packed. Cant think of anything to do and yet i am sick of shopping, what has happened lmao

viksam i got bored of that stage too, at the moment the only people i want round me are the kids, dp and my aunt. Not keen on seeing many more than that lol. Did you get everything organised?

How did the housework go chulita? I managed a washing woop de doo haha. What times mil coming?

memphis83 · 29/06/2010 15:58

stac lmao at sick of shopping! me too! i have everything for lo, and pointless looking for stuff for me until ive had lo, just popped into shop to get a cake and strawberries after mw and 4 people asked when im due, all of them said oooh you wont last the week! very irratating! but at least they spoke rather than just stared lol!
viksam kmow they feeling of wanting to be left alone, ive not had house phone plugged in for weeks! i just chat on here and my friends on facebook that i can be bothered with!
mw went ok normal stuff realy wont see her again now though as she is on a months leave, see new mw next wednesday, begged for a sweep on dd but said no so 2 weeks today i have a hospital app where they will sweep me then 2 days after i have mw and ive booked her to sweep me again! as mw said 2 weeks ago and same again today i will have baby very soon but im not taking chances ive booked myself in regardless lol!

Chulita · 29/06/2010 16:10

Lol! I dusted upstairs but haven't got the hoover out. I need to but I just cannot be bothered. Mil's not coming til about 10 so I've got all evening to do it (or convince DH to ) DD's causing trouble cos she needs to burn off steam but all I want to do is lie on the sofa and watch crap tv [sigh] Roll on toddler bedtime!

memphis no one asks me when I'm due but I'm massive so they must be wondering...not feeling as stared at here in Dorset as I did in Gloucestershire which is good cos it drove me mad last time!

Got back from the Physio. What a relief! The belt she gave me (although very NHS looking) was an instant relief to wear - although it does compress the bladder a bit, so when I need to go, I now really need to go!!

I also managed to convince her to let me try crutches not zimmerframe (only slightly less embarrassing) but it gives me much more ability to get around the house (we have 3 storey and I can't carry the frame up stairs) so will be helpful. She says I have to come back if shoulder starts giving me any trouble though. First sign of sublocation and I have to go back to the zimmerframe

TBH what I really couldn't handle was being stopped by pensioners every two minutes asking where I'd got it from and if they could have when I was finished!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 29/06/2010 17:18

Hi all,

I have been SO FRIGGIN HOT today!! I think the rain just made it muggy and humid and this afternoon the sun made an appearance, well wearing a black strap top was a bad idea.
Im now home with the ceiling fan on sitting in my nightie!

I really want to know how things went for jojo, Im guessing shes recovering, hope things went smoothly for her.

Ive got a mw appointment tomoro then going for a carvery lunch with my mum then onto matalan, she said she'd buy me some more sleepsuits (only got 5 ) and some moses basket sheets as I havent got any!

Hope everyone else has had a good day today.

DesperateHousewife21 · 29/06/2010 17:54

Also just thought Id let you all know that Jojo Maman Bebe is having a huge sale, really good deals on maternity clothes (if its worth buying more!) and baby clothes, nursery furniture and baby bits and pieces.

Gracie glad you are feeling better.

I am really hot and tired - should be doing tea, dd fell asleep on the way home from nursery (I know how she feels) so she is going to be a nightmare this evening, going to give her 5 more minutes before I wake her up. Dh is going to be late, again. Him working hard is great and all, we need the money and well, no one wants to be seen to be first out the office at the moment do they, but I just want him here. I'm feeling quite needy. Nursery is a 3 hour round trip (because it is close to work and I don't drive) and I'm shattered. Best get on..
