mlic you poor thing. id say a lot of it is tiredness as thats the way i am when im tired but no harm to keep an eye on it anyway.your moving in the right direction though hun and dont be afraid to talk about it.x
gracie no harm to ring the midwife and see although you've prob done that already.exciting stuff!
chulita i just no your in the throes of labour now!good luck!!!!
stac how's rilieghs colic now? ellie isnt screaming with it or anything just very hard to get up and you can tell she's uncomfortable and then the last winding after the feed she never gets it up cos she falls asleep! but i've noticed her squirming in her sleep and then she farts when up for next feed. im spending alot longer winding her now and she does seem to be getting a bit up but i just dont know if its enough. she puked a whole bottle up last night so im guessing it was a load of trapped wind???

Went in for swab and trace - no amniotic fluid, but another infection, so more anti biotics!

Trace showed off the chart tightenings (she said they were def contractions, not BH) but as I've been having them for weeks and they aren't increasing in strength or frequency they are happy to let me go until Tuesday - provided waters don't actually break!!

Gracie123 · 23/07/2010 14:08

mlic your GP is probably just being cautious. It's always better to be safe than sorry. Use the assessment as a chance to vent your feelings and tell them how tired you are. It's their job to support you and they don't push medication if they don't think you need it. I got loads of help after DS was born, despite refusing medication because I wanted to bf. They will work with you and your decisions until you feel better, so there really is no need to worry.

kkfairybrains · 23/07/2010 14:34

aw gracie just what you need. well at least you can stil do your celebrations!

stac14 · 23/07/2010 15:23

mlic the girls are right, you have made the first move in getting support if you need it. Your probs over tired, it cant be easy with a toddler and newborn so don't be hard on yourself. I went back on tablets a week home from hospital, more because i was frightened and i'm more aware of what happened in the past. We're here for you hun

kk rileigh's the same, she just seems extra windy and i think she may have a bit of reflux as shes sick at least once per day. The hv isnt worried though as she's gaining weight and is generally quite content. The dentinox has been great but i don't want to use it all the time. Have you used anything?

gracie is tuesday your c-s? Hows the new house?

chulita any news?

Any of you other ladies in labour? Think there will be a few lo's born soon x

GlastonburyGoddess · 23/07/2010 18:52

Don't worry Memphis you'll be fine. Is it just one night DH is away? Do you have a sister/girlfriend who could sleep over to help out?

Good luck Glastonbury and well done tsc.

Yes stac c-s is booked for tues. Pretty peed off as I booked a mobile therapist to come wax me (took ages going through yellow pages - seems their numbers have all be disconnected!) and she never showed! After 40mins I rang her and she hung up - then txt back 5 mins later saying she couldn't make it!! I asked if everything was ok and she said fine, just couldn't make it. Thanks for telling me that after the appointment at 5.30pm on a Friday night!

Fortunately managed to get another appointment with someone else for Monday. I'm not okay with the NHS dry shave!!

The house is looking lovely now, thanks for asking. It's huge, but very old. There are some annoying little things, such as no sink in the loo. You have to the kitchen to wash your hands. Sounds lazy, but it's six steps and quite a long corridor away, which is tough on crutches with SPD!

Can't remember who was asking about infacol, but we had to use it at every feed with DS, and I also couldn't eat any dairy (gave him v. Bad wind). After about 2 months the HV wrote us a prescription for Colief, which is amazing. You can buy it over the counter, but it's very expensive. Might be worth a try and then speak to HV about a prescription if it works?

We only had to use it for about four months, then he was fine.

cant get into your profile mlic. you must have it set to private.not sure how you set it to public just have a root around your profile page.
tsc congrats!!!! you sound on such a high! enjoy him x
gracie thats a shit about the wax. so bloody annoying though but at least you'l be sorted for tuesday.
memphis thats awful thery're bringing him away the first night! but in a way it might be the best thing cos it wont be hanging over you then.once you get that first night over with you'l hopefully be more comfortable with it. dp going for his operation on 10th august and its an overnight stay and im dreading that too! we'l be fine though im sure!

Gracie123 · 23/07/2010 22:20

just had to come back on for a little brag...
Finally got the wii set up and weighed myself - it seems to think I've only put on 1st 2lb this pregnancy! I think it's being very generous, but I checked it twice.

If this baby is anything like DS she'll be at least 9lb + I'll lose some fluid, so wii reckons I've only got another 5lb or so to lose to get to pre-pg weight.

I'm looking in the mirror and I'm sure it's wrong though...

stac14 · 24/07/2010 00:48

congrats tsc is dp happy to have an ally? Love the name, glad your well. Can't wait to see pics

kk rileighs not been screaming either its just she struggles to get her wind up and i was told if you don't break it up it can become colic, don't know if thats true but wasnt taking the chance lol

memphis dp goes back to work on wednesday and i'm dreading it mainly as i still cant drive due to c-s scar. Are you going to get someone to stay with you? Or just enjoying lyndon on your own?

mlic how are you feeling? Did you hear from perinatal care?

Glad your all sorted gracie now all you need is baby here.

We're going to have to move the house is too small for rileigh's stuff, also think jacks worried bout sharing his room lol x

congratulations viksam thats a lovely name, look forward to hearing from you

Happy birthday gracie whats your plans for today? Hope your being spoilt

Me to mlic dp had a drink last night to "wet the weans head" so i had to make up the bottles as well as doing the feed which has made me wide awake each time.

Just wondered if anyone who's bottle feeding has any tips for quickness? Or if your making a batch or 1 at a time? I've been doing it 1 at a time and had cartons for during the night, of course last night we had no cartons left

Everyone here is sleeping so i'm off to snooze xx
