Looking for some fellow late Januaryers to whisper about BFPs for late Jan 2011!! Just taken the test this afternoon and thrilled to be pg with #3 potentially (two DDs who are 19m and 3y). Anyone else out there?

Wow Jjkm that's very exciting. I've got two sets of friends who have had twins in the last couple of years, both sets arrived a bit early but they'd been very well looked after all the way through so although on the small side all were absolutely fine. Only problem now is that you're going to have to come up with the double the number of names!

LadyBuzz · 08/07/2010 08:33

jjkm how exciting i'm thrilled for you.
I knew there would be one with so many of us!

I have to admit I was a tiny bit dissapointed that there was only 1 here but I already have 2 so that is a good thing!

jjkm that's great news! My dh is really keen that our bean is twins. We'll find out next week! No history of twins with our families either so not holding out much hope.

FloraPost · 09/07/2010 16:10

jjkm that's fab! So glad you got your wish.

I have been a bit quiet recently because the sickness only kicked in properly at 10 weeks. Having started so late, I'm terrified that it won't clear up by 13 weeks. The pattern is wake up feeling ok, go to work, get iller throughout the day, come home, go to bed, spend evening throwing up. Nice. Can't stop crying either. I really hope the rest of you are starting to come out the other side.

Please ignore my whining, I just need somewhere to vent. Poor DP has already heard it ad infinitum!

LadyBuzz · 09/07/2010 16:51

Flora me too, i'm feeling crap at the mo. And very emotional!

It will get better, vent away thats what we are here for!

BubbaAndBump · 09/07/2010 18:59

Really pleased for you jkm and a little bit .

Sorry for your sickness Flora and LadyB - I'm over emotional to say the least, crying at every bloodmin' news story I see - good or bad!!

My secret is well and truly out at school, although I've officially told only three people - teachers in the summer term don't have enough work to keep them busy, so gossiping is the only bit of excitement . Still got a week to go until the scan though

What's the food tonight LadyB? Tightening the purse strings here, so homemade - but still yum: spaghetti meatballs

Jkm Great news about the twins although glad it's not me as I'm having enough trouble with one
Bubba do the kids know or is it just the staff? I am getting a little bump so am glad I can tell people after the scan next week and I can stop worrying!
LadyB Sorry to hear about the sickness - hopefully it will settle soon. My queasiness stopped last week so my only real symptom is the on-going pile situation and the tiredness. I am still waking up at 4/5am and it is getting very waring - I am very tired by the end of the week! I don't know if the baby is doing something then or it's just a coincidence it's the same time every time.
Bought a few things on Ebay and placed an order with JoJoMamanBebe so that's a bit exciting.
Hope we don't all melt this weekend!

BubbaAndBump · 09/07/2010 22:49

bloomin' not bloodmin

A few of the kids have made comments too WYGirl but nothing confirmed with them. Honestly though, I look 5 months already

Nothing exciting last night bubba home made stir fry I had to work so it was something quick! very nice though!
Indian tonight though I think mmmm.
One good thing with my sickness is it doesn't stop me eating

wyg no chance of me melting its p'ing down up here!

Been shopping for some mat clothes this morning, I got 4 tops and 2 pairs of leggings for under £30 - bargain!

Still nothing for the posh races doo i've got in 2 weeks though!

FloraPost · 10/07/2010 16:43

Wow, you people do cooking. I haven't cooked for 6 weeks. DP is out tonight though so the takeaway menus beckon, methinks.

I am feeling a bit perkier today so treated myself to a necklace I have been lusting after - a very early push present . I haven't seen any nice maternity clothes yet. I got a few normal but baggy tops & jumpers in the sales recently in the hope that those will do for maternity & beyond.

DP & I also went to an NCT pregnancy & baby fair today. Lots of it was a bit woo for me (very low woo tolerance); homeopathy, doulas, etc. but there was some useful stuff. It took herculean willpower not to buy at least one of these:

Aawwwwww!! Couldn't go for the red/pink though as the prawn could well turn out to be ginger.

Sorry, just realised I could put a link. Luddite.

Shanster · 11/07/2010 01:07

Hey Ladies, glad to hear I'm not the only one in maternity gear already. I pulled out my suitcase of mat gear from last pregnancy this morning, and have been so much more comfortable today! I'll be 13+3 by the time I have my scan, but I don't think I can last another 2 and a half weeks before telling people at work as I am now looking pregnant. All you mums on pregancy #3 (or beyond), did you find you were less patient with your poor toddlers? My DD is 17 months and I am finding myself getting really easily annoyed. I feel bad, because I know she is just acting out because she is tired/hungry but I am tired and still feeling sick...not a great combination! Please tell me this will get better???

RunningKatie · 11/07/2010 17:53

Hello ladies

Not posted recently, first scan on Tuesday. Hoping all is ok, finally stopped feeling sick which is great.

BubbaAndBump · 11/07/2010 18:26

Glad you're not feeling rough anymore RunningK - I thought the sheer exhaustion was over but I slept for 2 1/2 hrs this afternoon while my little one slept and DH and my Ps were on hand to look after DD1.

Yes to the impatience shanster - it's hard, but it'll get easier. I think it's good preparation for when you have the two of them!

Mmmmm flora, ginger prawns! Always hungry, me!

Bag of Doritos (the massive ones) for me tonight

Friday's my scan - once we're all done, I'll start a new thread. Can't wait for the scan - but def. already in maternity clothes but agree there's not much good out there (although GAP do some nice basics). Bought a maxi-dress from Uniqlo and a stretchy polo dress (neither maternity clothes, but do the job nicely) - all for about £30. Billy!

Flora I can see why you struggled to resist those babygros!

Things a bit grim here-came down with sore throat, headache etc yesterday and discovered there's not much you can take when pg. My head felt like it was stuck in a vice and the paracetamol didn't touch it. Have been struggling to eat which got DH in a panic as it's the opposite of how I have been since getting pg and he told me I had to eat for the baby! Hopefully it will pass by soon. Hope my new clothes arrive soon before nothing fits and I have to go out naked...

Good luck for those having scans this week - Bubba and RunningK

FloraPost · 11/07/2010 20:28

Oh no WYG, how crap. Really hope you feel better soon & can eat something. I live in mortal fear of getting a migraine while pg, not being able to take the wondrous vitamin I. I bought some of that 4-head stuff as my sister reckons it works and the packet says its safe for pg.

mimster · 12/07/2010 09:10

Hi Ladies - just checking in.

jjkm - wow! I can't imagine what it must feel like seeing two babies inside of you. Double the excitement!

WYG hope you feel a bit better soon - sounds rough.

I am also in pregnancy clothes now. Got out my old stuff the other day - most of it knacked after having my 2DC pretty much back to back, so I think I am due a bit of a shopping trip - shame!

Happy Monday and good luck with this week's scans.

KnitterNotTwitter · 12/07/2010 10:04

Hey there

Can i join in the fun? I'm on the February thread but the MW has just told me I'm probably due 27th Jan... this isn't the actual dating scan dates but I suspect that'll be earlier too....

I'm in SW London, have one 23mo DS and am excited to be pregnant having had an scary ectopic back in March (burst tube, emergency surgery etc....)

Hi Knitter.

Had today off and feel like I might go back tomorrow - just been so tired and still a bit random with food! Went to the Drs earlier as my excema is really bad and I haven't been able to use my usual steroid cream and came away with loads of stuff to try - I love the maternity exception! Also asked about Swine Flu jab as when I was pg last Nov this was talked about a lot, but mw hasn't said anything this time. My Dr smiled and said they aren't doing them anymore as it's died out! It made me chuckle considering the fuss that was made last year!

Only more sleeps till my scan on Weds!

WestYorkshireGirl · 12/07/2010 19:22

That should read 2 more sleeps till my scan on Weds!

saltnvinigarcrips · 12/07/2010 19:35

Hey WYG I have my scan on Wednesday too at 12 Can't wait but anxious at the same time. According to my LMP I should be 12 weeks exactly but sure that is probably wrong as i am so irregular. I've got off lightly with the ms so far and have only had mild nausea and am starting to feel like i have more energy so hopefully that means I have entered the 2nd trimester rather than being something sinister. Even went to the gym and then swimming after work today. Anyone else feeling slightly more energetic these days?
Also in respect of having to drink water before the scan, i have such a weak bladder I was wondering how far in advance it is necessary to drink the water. Could i drink it all say 10 minutes before? Or should it be 30 minutes?
Cheers

LadyBuzz · 12/07/2010 21:08

Knitter hello and welcome to the Jan thread!

saltnvinegar I think if you start about 30 mins before you should be OK, Just drink a little then lots more 10 mins or so - I have no idea if it will work but it is as bad if the bladder is too full - mine was and they asked me to empty half

I have my dating scan tomorrow, i'm excited this time I just hope baby buzz behaves this time and doesn't keep hiding!
