Looking for some fellow late Januaryers to whisper about BFPs for late Jan 2011!! Just taken the test this afternoon and thrilled to be pg with #3 potentially (two DDs who are 19m and 3y). Anyone else out there?

Hey saltnvinigar I feel for you, I'm also in London and it does seem to be busier - both previous pregnancies and this one I didn't get my scan until 14 weeks - although I have now had my booking appt. Very unlikely that they'll be able to listen for a heartbeat but try not to worry, but do push for an early scan when you can.

I'm having really bad pains, They started last night and are still here. I'm waiting to phone the MW. No bleeding but I am terrified. They aren't crampy at all and also different I think from the ones I had when I MC. Oh god I hope everything is ok

BubbaAndBump · 02/07/2010 08:04

Oh shit LadyB hope things are okay. You sure they're not just stomach pains being confused with uterine pains? Huge hugs to you.

I don't know Bubba they are really low down kind of where my scar is, I am really hoping that it is pulling from there of some sort. I have a really bad CS first time round with alot of severe scarring - It could be that??

knackered76 · 02/07/2010 08:18

LabyB I had awful pains the other day that lasted for ages, felt really sick as well with them. They went away and there was no bleeding so fingers crossed it's okay. If they are still there phone a midwife or doctor and find out who you can see/talk to about them. Sending hugs.

I have a private scan today, not until 5pm but I'm sure the day will go quickly with all the running around after the other 2!

Unfortunately my friend who I told you about didn't have good news at the scan. There's too much fluid around the baby and they think the abnormality is so high she will miscarry naturally She is seeing a consultant today but it's not looking good.

There's is a packet of open biscuits in my kitchen and I still haven't eaten one since they were opened yesterday, not sure what's wrong with me!

Happy Fridays ladies

BubbaAndBump · 02/07/2010 08:32

It could be LadyB - my CS scar from big fat bubba #2 sometimes aches at the end of a long day and I imagine with all the stretching and growing going on with the uterus, that it's bound to pull, especially if scarring was severe.
Let us know how you get on.

Good luck.

thankyou, I have left a message on the MW answerphone so just waiting now!

LadyBuzz · 02/07/2010 09:47

Right MW thinks it will most likely be from the CS scar esp as I have had no bleeding. But because I have had a previous MMC I have to go to my GP and get an EPU referral.
My app is at 4 so it def won't be today!

BubbaAndBump · 02/07/2010 11:37

I was able to get an EPU referral over the phone because my doc's weren't able to get me an appt on the day - I spoke to the triage nurse over the phone. It might be worth your while trying that (and it still took two days to get the referral then).

Glad the MW is thinking along the same lines as us though re: CS scar. Keep me posted.

Haven't posted for ages as have been away with work. Good to catch up with the thread.

LadyB - good luck with your app. Sounds like it is pulling from the scar - ther's so much growing going on at the moment down there. Fingers crossed for you.

saltvinigar - I had my booking in on wed when I was 10+2. I am also in London. I asked whether she could check for a heartbeat but she said I would have to wait for the scan (when I'll be 12+4) Seems a bit stupid to do all that form filling and ask me how I was planning on feeding the baby (at 10 weeks FGS!) before checking everyone is ok. Same thing happened with my DS2, so I think it's fairly standard procedure.

LadyBuzz · 02/07/2010 11:49

bubba unfortunately because I have got one this afternoon I'm stuck. Our hosp can be a bit arsy, I couldn't get a referral last time and I work there!
I'm supposed to be resting all day which is fine with me DS1 has gone swimming and DS2 is asleep (for now).

BUT i'm working tomorrow so no resting, I will just have to take it easy.

Thanks for listening all of you, it has really helped me not go mad this morning

BubbaAndBump · 02/07/2010 12:05

NP Hope they get you a referral soon. It's crappy waiting.

LabyB - it's so horrible all this worrying about every ache and pain we feel Glad you've got an appointment and hopefully a referral soon. Rest as much as you can.

I am having a very lazy day and even planning of driving to pick up DS from preschool even though it's only a few minutes walk

BubbaAndBump · 02/07/2010 12:16

I drove the girls to a playgroup I normally walk to this morning knackered - I might have to steal your MN name!!

We are now both sat in front of Dora until we go and get my DD from school . . . . I'm too tired to feel shame !

Shanster · 02/07/2010 17:09

knackered, I don't think I could cope without my Thomas the tank DVDs, just discovered these 2 weeks ago and they are a godsend!

LadyBuzz · 02/07/2010 17:19

I have just got back from the docs and he said that it is most likely pain from the scar and nothing to worry about but I have a scan on tue morn just to be sure.
I am pleased that I don't have to wait a full week.

DVDs are a god send, My DS loves Toy story and he will watch it all

BubbaAndBump · 02/07/2010 18:39

Hey, great news LadyB

I fell asleep while my DD2 had her afternoon sleep and I'd put Auntie Beeb in charge of DD1 the other day

Evening ladies,

Sadly I'll be leaving you Went for a private scan and showed the heartbeat had stopped and it didn't grow further then 8+2 - I was meant to be 10 today. All a bit unexpected really as I have no history of anything with the other two. Am going in for a d+c on tuesday morning as I don't want to wait for it to happen naturally, especially as my stomach is still growing!!!!

I wish you all luck on your journeys and those of you who will be new to motherhood, have a fab time, it really is the best

BubbaAndBump · 02/07/2010 19:18

Oh my God knackered I am so sorry to hear that In tears here on your behalf, you poor, poor thing. Massive hugs. Best of luck for Tuesday xx
