Morning All,

Chloe I will see you on the other thread then hun. You do have a way of telling a tale, you made your hospital trip sound v. funny although I am sure it was quite traumatic for you

Barefoot....are you just making us first timers look forward to toddler days?!?! Hope the move is going well

I felt like such a fraudster, the pains I were experiencing were more like a discomfort - I even refused paracetamol! I told them all this over the phone but they just weren't having a bar of it. All these poor people were limping about, bleeding from their ears, vomiting all over and there's me strolling right to the front of the queue because of a few gripey pains!

I ended up in tears though because whilst I was waiting on one of the beds I was listenng to a conversation the nurse was having with the 80yr old man in the next cubicle. I think he had gone a little senial and had bumped his head so had a bit of concussion, he didn't know what year it was bless him. Anyway he lived on his own and the nurses were trying to explain that he would be better maybe going to a home where people could look after him because he didn't have family. He got very upset and said he agreed with what they wre saying but that he thought he coped well on his own, he started crying - well that was it! I was booing as quietly as I could in the next cublicle. Ooh he's making me well up again now, I have a soft spot for waifs and strays.

chloe55 · 12/08/2005 10:27

Sorry - realised I write essays when I post - it's coz I haven't been working though so have no-one but my animals to talk to during the day!

Barefoot I hope you get out of the house onto hols with a little sanity intact!

Chole Argh! what a story! glad all is ok tho!

Well girls I've made a tit of myself in Boots this am, I blame the hormones.....paid for dd's wipes and training pants (oh you will learn to use a potty soon) and forgot to produce my bootscard and wasn't prompted for it, thus I asked for the points to be put onto the card in retrospect and was told no, sorry couldn't, well that did it for me this am, booo hooooo went I... normally this wouldn't have bothered me in the slightest, what the hell is going on!!!!

chloe55 · 12/08/2005 11:43

Hee hee Frizbe, I only need to run out of toilet paper at the moment and I'm crying hysterically! Either that or laughing rediculously, these pregnancy hormones sure are weird!

Frizbe · 12/08/2005 11:47

Oh tell me about it girl! mind you I could have shopped somewhere cheaper had I known they wouldn't add the bleedin points onto my card, should I forget to present it! grrrr at them for being tossers!

Tabs · 12/08/2005 11:55

Frizbe - should have asked for a refund on all the stuff you'd bought, then bought it all again using your card!

TicTac · 12/08/2005 14:22

Oh Frizbe.....I blame then daft boots lady, should she have done her job you would not have felt compelled to boo

OP posts:
Frizbe · 12/08/2005 14:23

I agree ladies, but the hormones ran away with me, I felt to embarrased to bicker and left! silly me and not at all like me either! yikes...

TicTac · 12/08/2005 14:26

{{{Hugs Frizbe}}}} You clearly need some

Oh DH update... he has today returned the shorts and T-shirst to boots...the ones he bought the other day thinking that newborn clothes would last a Feb baby up to the summer....TUT!

TicTac · 12/08/2005 20:47

Are you all out having a fab time?

Anyway...I have just ordered a doppler on rental..should be with in 2 days and is £20 a month. I figured I will keep it for a couple of months until after big scans etc and when I start antenatal and then send it back. DH was quite happy with this arangement over spending £70 on one!

Thanks ladies for all your doppler stories...I will post my success/ lack of as soon as I know!
