anyone watch LOST last night? I should be working but am instead on the Telly Addicts threads...addictive!

TicTac · 11/08/2005 13:37

Teuch - I should be working to but I am easily distracted today.. I watched most of it but fell asleep for the last half hour. I think DH taped it though so I might watch it later....gutted though, he tricked me, he said there was nothing else on so I missed Holby!!

TicTac - it's Contact Another Talker (button for it in the menu at the top of the screen). You'll get an e-mail from mumsnet with my message, and giving you my e-mail address so that you can reply if you want. I assumed that this was how you'd traced Hotmama last week, but obviously not! On your profile you specify whether you will accept CATs or not, but I didn't get a reject message, so you must have it set to accept. Takes a little while to come through though as MN Towers like to read it first to make sure there's nothing dodgy in it!

Tabs · 11/08/2005 13:45

Should of course have answered first with 'it's a small fluffy animal, sometimes kept as a pet'

TicTac · 11/08/2005 13:45

Oh Tabs...that is how I contacted hotmama1 but I never realised that's what it was called...if you know what I mean!!!

LOL...don't joke...I am an intelligent, hard working, logical, methodical, spirited Project Manager......OR AT LEAST I WAS!!!!!

I have got some horrid crampy stuff today....anyone else?

OP posts:
Tabs · 11/08/2005 15:12

Not crampy as such, but do feel a bit achey round my middle. Don't suppose sitting hunched up on a living room chair at my laptop all day really helps!

Tabs · 11/08/2005 15:13

What sort of projects do you manage TicTac - IT, building, ???

TicTac · 11/08/2005 16:15

Tabs - Business development/ Business Change projects. Well I do at the minute...being made redundant next year as BG are closing their offices and moving to India...

Of course - knew I knew something about your job but couldn't remember what it was! So do you reckon you'll look for something else after your mat leave, or will you become a SAHM?

TicTac · 11/08/2005 17:13

I will be looking for something else. I am afraid we can not afford for me to be a SAHM, I am the major bread winner in our house...plus I have a need to work. I may well contract or even set up my own business. I'll just see if there are any offers on the table before I make any decisions but I guess looking for work while preg is not the best thing I could do I intend to take what I can from my mat package....which isn't that bad

would love to go, but sadly am not from that way.

Frizbe · 11/08/2005 20:45

Oh just a flying hi to all! been on the Notts meet up today, which turned out to be nice and sunny (surprise! no hat or suncream packed, doh, crap mummy, thank gaw'd for other prepared mums eh!) with great activities for the kids as well, as cutting, drawing, etc thing going on at the Castle, so actually spent more time chasing dd around than chatting to other mums, but there you go!
Happy to say only one minor whift of sickness tonight, nothing all day, wooo hooooo, even treated myself to a bacon double cheeseburger, as near BK! yikes......

TicTac · 11/08/2005 21:16

Hi Frizbe...chuffed you had a good time...there might be a northern meeting on the 3rd December, I was thinking about going...sounds like it might be good.

OP posts:
Frizbe · 11/08/2005 21:24

Oh go you'll have loads of fun! how far north is it tho? maybe too far for me to trek?!

TicTac · 11/08/2005 21:30

flamesparrow · 12/08/2005 08:05

Just thought I'd come on and do a big woohoo!

12 weeks today, and not been sick all week!!

chloe55 · 12/08/2005 09:21

Morning everyone,

Been off work past couple of days - decided to ring midwife re the lower abdominal cramps and she sent me straight to A&E! It all went a bit mad from there, they were concerned because my cat had scratched me and they ended up doing blood tests, urine tests, internals (most painful internal I have ever had in my life!), put a cannula in my hand and wheeled me off to the ward! I was sh*tting myself by this point wondering what the hell was happenening considering I had only rung up for some advice! Everything is fine though and am just waiting on the test results to rule out any infection, when you want the hospital to take you seriously you feel like you are trying to get blood out of stone and when you don't expect it all the surgeons come rushing!!

Very sad news about Babylily.

chloe55 · 12/08/2005 09:53

TicTac, I have joined the link you put on regarding the Leeds/Manchester night - I'd be up for it so you will have another 14weeker with you.

BarefootMama · 12/08/2005 09:59
