Hello been away for a few days, so just catching up on everyone's news.
Abfab- how cool is that?! Try drinking cold drinks- makes lo wriggle more
Nymph- glad you are out of hospital. Hope you are starting to feel better.
Vikks! Don't get stressed about getting stressed, there lies the path to madness enjoy the weekend.
Ivy, same here, it's the only time I'm quiet and still. I think lo keeps her head down for the rest of the day, it's pretty hectic!
Elsa- I really hope things are ok for you. What a shock!
Dilly, congrats on your little boy! Lovely names do you have scandinavian influence? We nearly called ds johan or johannes

I'm good, really notice the days I forget to take my iron. Lo moving some days more than others, but my mum felt her kick last night which was lovely
looking forward to another sunny day tomorrow!

Elsa123 · 04/06/2010 22:18

Hello all, so sorry I have not got back to you before, thank you for all your lovely messages. The doctor thought I'd be fine but signed me off for a couple of days to rest on the basis of the shock more than anything. I'm glad I did go off, as my tummy muscles were really sore as was my shoulder. Its getting much better and I had a scan today at the FMC which was already scheduled in as my DH had missed my scan last week and all was well! Placenta and baby fine....phew! Sorry to leave you all with no news, but I had no internet access at home and am now at home up north with broadband. I hope you all have a lovely weekend- big kisses x x xx x x x Oh, and my car is a write off.

Vikks · 04/06/2010 22:34

Elsa Glad you're ok and back with us. x

SeaShells I'll try! I've got a nice day planned tomorrow, stress free!

tiredfeet · 05/06/2010 05:58

Elsa I'm so pleased to hear you and the baby are ok. I'm glad you had a scan now anyway so you could have that reassurance. Those days off were needed though I'm sure as a crash is traumatic at the best of times, let alone when you're pregnant.

abfab seeing your tummy move is great isn't it .

I still haven't managed to get DH to feel baby kick though every time he puts his hand on my tummy the baby decides to stop kicking!

hope you all have lovely weekends, mine has got off to a rather early start as the baby decided to have an early morning party

SilverSky · 05/06/2010 07:28

Yay for elsa and YAY for the FMC. That's brilliant news and took your silence online as not such a great sign. You proved me wrong! Happy days!

Husband had hand on tum last night. I felt the baby push me but he couldn't so perhaps baby is still snuggled away deep inside.

My early wake up was due to the dog barking. Demanding it's breakfast. I got up told the dog "tough , it's not a hotel and you'll have to wait". Am now back in bed.

Bet your bottom dollar that tmw will be my last lie in and it will be another early start, then come Monday I will want to sleep for England. C'est la vie I s'pose!

nymphadora · 05/06/2010 09:31

elsa that's good I've been worried about you

abfab/xavelli I have NO stomachnmuscles so going to be awhile til I see something!

My kids are back now so am feeling happier. Woke up with a headache this am, pretty sure I've slept funny cos my neck aches too but if anywhere in town does BP I'll get it checked.

mamjo · 05/06/2010 10:20

Morning all!! I managed to sleep till 8.30 and feel really refreshed this morning. Just wish I could go out and enjoy the sun but the hayfever and not being allowed anti histamine just means I feel like poo after 10 minutes outside. Is this affecting any others?

elsa that's great news!! Glad you are back.

lilmissmummy · 05/06/2010 11:12

Hi all, Glad you are all well.

Sorry to hear that some of you have had a rubbish week! Seeing/feeling the baby move is magical isnt it!?!

Had a busy week this week but had a couple of days where dh and I went away for a mini break away to London (without children) which was LOVELY!

I have got my scan next week which is very exciting! I think we will find out what flavour it is after all. I have got to run as expecting visitors this afternoon and I am on a cleaning mission!

Happy sneezing! (I am bad too!)

floozietoozie · 05/06/2010 11:27

Hi all
Elsa, so glad everything's ok. Are you at your parents?get lots of pampering in!

it seems to have gone quiet on the new thread so can i make a suggestion if people want a break from pumpkins. What about just 10/10 babies - Half way home. Or - over the half way line. Anyway, if anyone who's at a computer agrees, does someone want to create it? I'm on the phone so can't add all the bits like the stats list. Think we've only got 15 messages left after this one!

Have a good day all.

AbFabT · 05/06/2010 11:47

Phew @ Elsa.

floozie, sounds good to me. Stats to link to are here please: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/977320-Stats-10-10

My tummy moving is still making me !

AbFabT · 05/06/2010 11:48

What about 'Chats 10/10', and then the link to 'Stats 10/10'!!!

Elsa123 · 05/06/2010 12:05

Morning all- thank you so much for your kind messages. I have a house up in Lincolnshire so thats were I am at weekends, my house in bucks is rented for work during the week and its lovely to be at home with my creature comforts even if its not finished yet (we've built it). I've just taken a break from DIY to eat buttermilk pancakes with strawberries and maple syrup as my arm hurts and I'm hungry! I've got some referred nerve pain down to my hand. Ice really helps. I didn't realise how much I'd bashed the right side of my tummy until the sonographer really dug in yesterday and it hurt!

I know what you mean AbFabT about the movement- I get it when I'm walking and it moves across me. I often have to stop and wait for it to shift as it feels so uncomfortable!

I like Chats 10/10...

nymphadora · 05/06/2010 12:09

Have to be more specific than 10/10 as there is a diet group with 10/10 in the title.

SilverSky · 05/06/2010 12:42

A vote here for the half way there title if we are moving away from pumpkins.

I am home alone and bored.

RooBear · 05/06/2010 12:46

hmm had 6 nose bleeds in less than 24 hours, whats going on?!

moonstorm · 05/06/2010 13:56

Hi

Roo - nosebleeds are really common in pregnancy, all that extra blood. If you are worried, speak to someone!

Elsa - really glad you are ok!

I like the half way there title as well

mamjo - I really synpathise with you about the hayfever, I used to get it really badly. I used to dry all my clothes indoors, never go out without sunglasses, eat local honey and stuff vaseline up my nose! And I kept my curtains closed with a cover over my bed if I had the windows opened. (And I dosed up with medication!)Pregnancy seems to have helped my hayfever, but I don't want to speak too soon this summer!

Hope you are all managing to keep cool!

Just realised I have only 20 days left of work until maternity leave!!! (Ok I'm a teacher not counting the summer holiday and I onløy work 2 days, but still . I don't envy anyone working full time - I remember with ds1 how hard it was.

nymphadora · 05/06/2010 15:04

I've got about 15 days if I stick to
my 4 weeks off sick then return til mid august then leave then mat leave !

mamjo · 05/06/2010 15:38

Thanks moonstorm it hasn't been as bad as normal this year so far. I have also discovered that nettle tea seems to help when the symptoms do kick in.

Let's just take the "10/10 - halfway there" and start a new thread before my phone melts

AbFabT · 05/06/2010 16:37

I took the plunge as we are so close to max here!

New thread is: HERE

I wrote 'over' as I am three weeks over half way, so for those due at the end of October, they can't be far off half way, so very soon will be over halfway too, and if it was just halfway, we'd all be stuck with that for a month or so when we were over half way! Phew! Hope that's ok!
