I think I might like the pumpkin references less than other people but I couldn't think of anything better which doesn't give me much in the way of legs to stand on!

Hope everyone is well, any news from Elsa? I have been thinking of her since yesterday and I have been hoping she is ok.

Nymph I'm really glad that you are starting to feel better, it's about time, you've been poorly for ages. I hope that you will be able to enjoy the whole thing a bit more now.

I was wondering if anyone's baby movements are linked to their general state. Someone mentioned that they thought their baby moved less when they were ill. Today I've felt really tired and my baby hasn't moved about as much as it did yesterday when I was full of energy. I am still only talking about bubbling sensations, but I just seem to have noticed less. Just a thought...

AbFabT · 03/06/2010 18:20

I don't really like the pumpkin references either, Sam - I just thought everyone else did! a) I don't like the Hallowe'en thing, and b) there are only so many pumpkins one can eat!

Maybe we have a break from the pumpkins!

'10/10 Babies' does what it says on the tin! I like simples!

Don't know about the baby movements! I think I have a lazy baby! I am lazy, so maybe that's why!

SilverSky · 03/06/2010 18:51

I like the ice lolly one!

Lying on your back is not going to do any damage to the baby. The reason not to is cos as babygets bigger it presses on blood vessels and can lower yr bp and even make you faint. I heard this from a paed dr and hv read in couple of books. So it's not encouraged but if you find yourself flat on yr back it's not the end of the world.

mamjo · 03/06/2010 19:01

Thanks silversky I try to lay on my side whenever I can.

I kinda like that the pumpkin reference differentiates this group from the other October 2010 group, but am happy with whatever gets decided. I just hope it happens soon cos my i phone can't cope with loading this one much longer:0)

SilverSky · 03/06/2010 19:21

Me too mamjo but it's a pain as I prefer to lay on the rhs whereas the lhs is better.

There is another Oct thread ? Surely this is the best!!!

Xavielli · 03/06/2010 19:35

Just looking at the stats list and we are really rather girl heavy! Maybe the boys are all lurking in the unknowns!

AbFabT · 03/06/2010 19:52

Maybe it's the year of the tigress, Xav!

mamjo · 03/06/2010 20:08

Where is the stats list? I not sure I've added myself to that?

AbFabT · 03/06/2010 20:58

mamjo, here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/972435-10-10-Pumpkins-All-New-Stats-May-2010

Just thought I'd let you know that Blooming Marvellous have got a good sale on at the moment for maternity wear (and baby items), PLUS you can get a Mumsnet discount on some of the sale items on top of the sale discount (enter code MNET).

tiredfeet · 03/06/2010 21:14

I think my baby movements are much less / much less obvious when I am busy. Today I've been really busy, and been for a swim been to work and walked home from work etc, so have only noticed little bits. On my much lazier more relaxed days I noticed baby tons. So perhaps those of you noticing less movement are just busier?

didn't know there were mumsnet discount codes! gutted as I've bought some maternity stuff from some of those places already. But will be an added incentive to do some shopping for baby online

don't mind what the thread title is, I will let someone more imaginative than me decide!

I'm another one who's thinking of elsa and really hoping she's ok.

mamjo · 03/06/2010 21:49

Thanks AbFabT I am now on the list.

Hermya321 · 03/06/2010 22:36

Ssooooo shall we go with 10/10 Babies - Shopping for Pumpkin Accesories.

Tiredfeet I've noticed that as well, I had a few days off and baby was really moving around. The last few days have been busier and now LO's a little more quiet.

Who's left to have a scan?

waterbabemum · 03/06/2010 22:39

Hi all,
Again its been a long time since my last post hope all are doing well, getting larger, not feeling to tired...
Im having a Boy, he been wriggling and kicking every day usually just after meals

AbFabT · 03/06/2010 23:26

Elsa, where are you!

Ok, I've tidied up the stats list and made a new thread for it, so whoever starts the new chat thread, please link to this: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/977199-10-10-Stats?rnd=1275603758987

Can we think about moving away from the pumpkin thing for the thread after the next one? I think I am really over it.

Less of a pumpkin, more of a squash!

SilverSky · 04/06/2010 07:04

Yum butternut squash!!!!!!!!! One of my favourite vegetables.

SilverSky · 04/06/2010 07:09

Re mat wear what size do you order? Cos in reg clothes with my mini bump I hv gone up two dress sizes. So in mat wear do I go for my reg size even though I am now top heavy with a butt to match!

Anyone know if the shops also have the sale on?

SamanthaB123 · 04/06/2010 07:25

Silversky You are supposed to order your pre-pregnant size which will have been altered sufficiently. In my experience though it depends on your weight gain. I have only bought maternity wear that I have tried on. As this is my third baby I looked pregnant by 10 weeks and was already in maternity wear then. I've put on about 12lbs now and although I was a size 8 at the start, size 8 maternity wear doesn't fit well round the hips, bottom or bust. I'm in a size 10. I did meet a very helpful lady in London while shopping who was due any day. She said that clothes that were sold as 'growing with you' so you could wear them right through pregnancy didn't fit her at all and she wished she had staggered her purchases. Hope this helps, SB

SilverSky · 04/06/2010 07:33

samb thank you for that. I do prefer to try on before I buy.

There is a BM ina town near me so will venture over there though no doubt those online bargains will have gone by then!!

BackAgain · 04/06/2010 08:00

Thanks for the news about the BM sale - glad I didn't get round to buying a new swimsuit last week! Just have to squeeze into my non maternity one for today's aquanatal though!

I am the same, I don't notice the baby move so much when I am busy, though I have had a few sharp prods when I have been sat at my desk so wondering if baby doesn't like the position

My scan is next week and we have agreed that OH will find out the sex but not me. That way when everyone asks me afterwards I can say truthfully I don't know as there is no way I would be able to lie. He will then tell me a couple fo weeks after when all the questioning has died down. That probably sounds really silly but I really want it to be a surprise for everyone else.

Hope everyone is OK, especially elsa and here's to another lovely weekend

mamjo · 04/06/2010 09:26

I am still left to have a scan, it's not being done till 22+3 for some reason which is Monday at 9 and I can't wait. We are not going to find out though cos DH really really doesn't want to know and I am not really bothered either way.
I am getting quite concerned for elsa now. I desperatly hope everything is ok.
Anyway enjoy the sunshine ladies.

Hermya321 · 04/06/2010 09:30

I'm being scanned on the 8th, am hoping to find out the sex as well. I just hope the LO co-operates.

Yeah I hope Elsa is ok.

OP posts:
Xavielli · 04/06/2010 09:44

I'm being scanned on 15th when I'm 20+2, I have the latest due date so this figure. I'm glad it's happening on time and not 22+ as you early october ladies would be talking about your next set of bloods by then!

Hope Elsa is well and just enjoying the sunshine.

tiredfeet · 04/06/2010 10:11

xavielli you are just in time then as I'm having my next set of bloods on 18th! The midwifes here encourage us to have them between weeks 22-25 so I've gone for week 23.

only logged on to see if elsa had posted, I really hope everything is fine.

I've just had breakfast in the garden, it was lovely. I have quite a busy day ahead so it was great to just sit there and enjoy the peace and the sun. We're on holiday next week and it looks like its going to be quite wet and rainy, I don't mind too much as it will just be good to have a week with DH away from his busy schedule. We will just have to remember to pack wellies and waterproofs!

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend

RooBear · 04/06/2010 10:31

hello all, thinking of elsa. I'm getting really tired gain not sure if its the weather making me sleepy! might take a half day holiday...still waiting for movements as well, suprised i've not felt anything, the baby was a little raver at the scan!

KSal · 04/06/2010 10:37

I didn't realise i would be getting more bloods done...

has anyone had their MATB1 yet? i meant to ask for it yesterday but forgot, think i need to submit it to work ebfore 25 weeks or something
