KSal, I believe you get given your MATB1 AT your 25-week appointment. I think as long as work know by 25 weeks, you're ok.

Ok, sorry about this, but I've redone the stats list again so it's now here:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/977320-Stats-10-10?rnd=1275645275601, so whoever creates the new chat thread needs to link to this please.

Maybe also link to the Mumsnet discount page so no one misses out again!
www.mumsnet.com/Pub?call=com.mumsnet.shopping.DiscountPartnerPage

We'd better start it soon! It's also the Friday Five, so we can start a new thread with some good questions.

RooBear · 04/06/2010 11:00

I haven't yet KSal will be getting it from my midwife in july, I think you can get it from 25weeks but have to hve it to your employer 15 weeks before your EDD?

shieldbug · 04/06/2010 11:02

I can only feel movement if sproglet is in certain positions- it was moving around at my last scan (Weds to check the fibroids) and I couldn't feel it. Maybe the times when we don't feel much the babies are just not in good positions to be felt, iyswim. I still get so excited when I do feel it though, I think it was what I was most looking forward to about being pg.

I've also gone up a dress size from 8 to 10 in maternity wear. Size 8 maternity clothes are definitely getting tight, even though I haven't put on very much weight. I think it may be because things don't expand equally! My boobs and butt are definitely too big for size 8 maternity clothes but other parts still seem to fit in ok. Mind you, the bump is so big, I keep getting asked when I'm due, then when I tell them, people ask if I'm having twins! Nope, just sproglet and enormous fibroids! Good news on that front though- they seem to have stopped expanding and the scans showed plenty of room for sproglet to grow, so I'm really pleased.

elsa hope all is well
nymph glad to hear things are improving, but keep taking it easy.

nunnie · 04/06/2010 11:11

Don't know sex of my bump yet, my scan is Monday.

What are the next set of bloods? You'd think I'd know seeing as this is my 2nd, but I only remember being stabbed once last time .

KSal · 04/06/2010 11:24

Thanks RooBear and AbFabT... think that was what was confusing me as 25 weeks pregnant is the same as 15 weeks before EDD! guess if i just make sure i have told work my dates before then i can follow up with the form when i get it.

mw appointment went ok, going to try to take DH along to the next one so he can hear the heartbeat. slight downside is that my bp is still high and i had various things in my urine so mw wants to see me in 3 weeks... she doesn't seem overly worried so i will try not to.

I'm another one that had a slightly early arrival last time (36 weeks) and i am starting to scare myself that this one will be earlier... just nee to try not to get stressed about it as that will just be self-fulfilling!!

DillyDora · 04/06/2010 11:48

Hi All,

Lovely to see your posts - had to skim through as I've been away for a week! Glad to hear about all the lovely scans. Hope elsa is ok, and that you're feeling much much better nymph. Congrats on the work thing AbFab.

Just to quickly tell you that we had our 20 week scan yesterday and we're expecting a boy!!! Was shocked to bits as I thought I'd have a girl (why? no idea!) though since 12 weeks I've been a bit less sure. Anyway, he's all lovely and healthy and wriggly and gorgeous so we're thrilled. We think he'll be called Tobias Johannes or Toby Joe! DH currently calls him TJ. Also finally getting a 'proper' bump which is gorgeous but have only put on 1.5k. The sonographer was brilliant - she seemed to be having as much fun as us!! She said it's normal not to feel the baby much as there's still so much space in there and thick fibrous womb and what have you between us and them. Baby is only 300g at this point and about 20cm long so still pretty small, hope that's reassuring.

love to all!
xxx

nymphadora · 04/06/2010 12:04

Escaped from hospital! No meds and back next wed for scan & week after for consultant. Pulse still high & bp still low so they still want to monitor me. Have sick note for 4 weeks but if I feel better I can get signed off well although work may increase my bp am planning on gnishing in 10 weeks so not going to be back for long at this rate

am currently in tesco cafe while dh shops as I only managed half way.he keeps callingto ask what I want!

What BM in shopping terms?kept seeing it further up!

mamjo · 04/06/2010 12:27

nymph thats great news - no overnight stays afterall!!

Try and make the most of the rest of this lovely sunny day and time with hubby!!!

SamanthaB123 · 04/06/2010 12:31

When I saw my midwife last week she gave me my matb1 - she postdated it to when I would be 20 weeks which she said is the earliest it can be given. At the next appointment I will be 24 weeks will be given the £190 (or at least the forms). I don't know when it has to be given to the employer, maybe I should get it out and look at it!

I'm roasting here. I have mainly bought things to work in and although I have some dresses I really need shorts or something that will let my legs show. Ooof. Even DH's are too small .

shieldbug · 04/06/2010 13:03

samB know what you mean. I only have maternity jeans or smart trousers at the moment. I'm hopefully going to the beach tomorrow, but I've no mat swimwear or shorts! I'll just have to roll up the trouser legs and hope that does the trick. Not very attractive, I know!

dilly what fab names and congrats on your news. TJ sounds like a great nickname too. Have I remembered right that you were on holiday? Was it a good time? Where did you go?

nymph well done on your great escape. As mamjo says, hope you enjoy the weather today.

KSal If the mw isn't too worried, all's well. Various positive urine tests might just be as a result of contamination. I had a positive bacterial growth from one sample, then the next one was all clear. I may be wrong, but I don't think that the arrival date of one child affects the next, so there's no reason to expect this one will be early. Who knows, in a few months time you may well be bored waiting for the baby to arrive! Fingers crossed for you.

DillyDora · 04/06/2010 13:18

Sam and shieldbug - I toddled about in a bikini on hols (southern Spain - too hot really ) and thought my bump looked wonderful and s*d anyone who didn't think that H&M do lovely cheap summery dresses so you could pick up something floaty if you've got a few quid spare.

The holiday was ace but DH and I went with his bro and his bro's g/f and it was their first holiday together but also their 'make or break' holiday (don't know that she knew that - cringe) and I think I can safely say it will be 'break' as they rowed constantly, albeit discreetly. We were all together in a house in the hills so DH & I didn't get much in the way of alone time as they just would not go out for trips or dinner just the 2 of them - I had told DH what would happen but he wouldn't listen so now he owes me a week's holiday in July to make up for it

floozietoozie · 04/06/2010 13:19

Tiredfeet and Xavielli is that just the routine mw appointment you're talking about with the bloods? I've got my scan the same day as your bloods Tired.

Elsa, if you're out there - please post. Hope all well.

moonstorm · 04/06/2010 14:36

Hi

YOu all post so quickly!!

Elsa - hope you are ok x

I can't remember what I was going to post now! Just letting ou all know I'm still here!

I remember being told that the baby move ,ess when you move more as the swishing of the amniotic fluid helps ot to sleep.

We should take bets on how many threads we'll get through before the birth stories stat coming in!!!

Ivytheterrible · 04/06/2010 15:11

Hello, nothing much to say apart from the strawberries in our garden are starting to ripen and have just scoffed a handful! Also started shopping and bought some long-sleeve bodysuits and booties - not much else yet as I'm waiting for all the wintery stuff to come in the shops - the lightweight stuff is so pretty but prob not going to keep mine warm come Oct!

Very little movement here as well - seems most active in evenings between 9-11pm but don't really feel anything the rest of the time.

nymphadora · 04/06/2010 15:22

Wonder if they'll give me any forms at my next appt? I'll be 22 weeks then...

mamjo · 04/06/2010 16:25

AbFabT · 04/06/2010 16:39

I just SAW my tummy MOVE!

shieldbug · 04/06/2010 16:43

abfab!! how cool!

DillyDora · 04/06/2010 16:44

abfab I love it! That's amazing!

Xavielli · 04/06/2010 17:04

Yay AbFab mine does that in the bath. Only time I can actually see it.

Yes just routine bloods, think there are 3 lots total for pos women.

KSal - My DS was born at 36 weeks and was (and still is) absolutely perfect and came home the next day with me, so I guess it's just luck of the draw at that stage with regards to how strong their little lungs are. my DD was born at 39 weeks so I went a little later 2nd time.

mamjo · 04/06/2010 17:12

Isn't it amazing? I have been trying to recreate the same circumstances as when I saw it yesterday for DH but (s)he hasn't done it again yet for daddy! Although I can feel much more happening today.

AbFabT · 04/06/2010 18:00

I was sat in my glider chair, with my hand on my tummy and felt a move, moved my hand away and the movement happened again, and that's how I saw it. I phoned DH straight away! I'm sat here watching my tummy but it hasn't moved since. I've been jostling it a bit too, but nothing! Lazy baby!

SamanthaB123 · 04/06/2010 18:20

We need a new thread...

Vikks · 04/06/2010 20:11

The week from hell is over!!!!! I can?t keep this pace up, I?m knackered! I?m sure I read somewhere that being stressed wasn?t good for the baby. Anyone else heard this? I?m feeling a little guilty that Harry might be suffering because Mummy can?t cope.

Anyway I worked out, to cheer myself up, that I?ve only got 12 weeks at work left! I?ve got 3 weeks holiday to take so I?m adding that to my Mat. leave at 37 weeks to give me an extra break. August 31 I?ll be putting my feet up! Some kind of party may be in order??

AbFab I can?t wait to see movement too, it must be wonderful. DH did get a kick two days ago and that felt kind of special.
I?m gonna order my ?rocker? soon too!

Ivy Same here with the movement time, it?s mostly in the evening. It could be because that?s the only time I sit. It always makes me smile though.

Nymph Glad you?re out of hospital. X

Dilly Congratulations on your boy! Another one for the list, the girls seem to be taking over. Love your name too!

Has anyone else got to go for another scan? Harry was so uncooperative the nurse couldn?t complete all the checks. Just got my letter through, a week on Monday I get to see him again! I?ve just worked out that it?ll be our 6th scan!
