SilverSky · 26/05/2010 19:01

I've stuck myself on the list.

I am making effort to eat better. Trying to reduce crap intake as wondering if this is why I feel massive highs then needing snooze sessions or that is prob just the bleeding hormones.

I am feeling hungry again ! No surprise there at all!

SilverSky · 26/05/2010 19:01

Oh and scan is tmw pm!!!

Tyson86 · 26/05/2010 19:19

Congrats on the scans, its so exciting! Mine is tomorrow at 3pm and i cant wait.

Doctors was embarrasing, it turns out it is just infected so basically a spot Glad its nothing though. Thanks for the concern.

Happy Birthday Ninth

Katy great bargain on the car seat, i was in mothercare today and have completely fell in love with a pink Quinny Buzz.

AbFabT · 26/05/2010 19:28

LOL, Silver - I read that as

"Trying to reduce crap intake as wondering if this is why I feel massive thighs ... "

Tyson, glad it's just a spot!

SilverSky · 26/05/2010 20:28

Abfab what can I say? My thighs were never my strongpoint and indeed they are now massive....

moonstorm · 26/05/2010 20:54

Hello everyone!

I'm back from lurkerdom now I have time to post again!

Big hug ((())) to everyone who needs it. x

Congratulations to everyone on their scans!

Tyson my scan is at 3pm tomorrow as well! I'll think of you - how many weeks are you? I should be 20 exactly, but that's their dates, I still think I'm not as far on!!

SilverSky · 26/05/2010 21:12

I am at 3.20pm assuming they run to time!!!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 26/05/2010 21:23

Moonstorm- welcome back

happy birthday 9th! Hope you are having a good day.

Ivy and lil, congrats on the little boys

I have just spent a small fortune in sainsburys- dh is just shaking his head saying "why did I send my pregnant wife" ?!

It might have contained alot of carb and cake

AbFabT · 26/05/2010 22:02

Mine have gotten bigger too, Silver. You are not alone! I need to get new pants, my usual ones are cutting in a bit.

SeaShells - I spent a fortune in Sainsburys yesterday (online), but I stocked up on a few things that were on offer, so the next few weeks should be much cheaper. I am sure you'll use what you bought, so no harm done!

I just made apple and berry crumble. Mmm! :-)

Good luck to all the scanees.
x

Vikks · 26/05/2010 22:26

Happy Birthday 9th!

Congratulations on the scans everyone. I'm a bit of all you who know the sex. I can't wait for Sunday!!!

Good luck if you've got one tomorrow. x

Hermya321 · 26/05/2010 22:55

Gosh all of you getting scans, I'm very jealous. I have to wait until the 8th june for mine. I think I have a cheeky baby, I was talking to someone at work and trying to be serious when baby decides to turn over and starts kicking me. I was dying not to laugh. Twas very hard.

dontstopmenow · 26/05/2010 23:09

Hello all,

We had our scan today too - didn't find out the sex as we couldn't agree All well though and the baby was wriggling a lot. Took ages to confirm all the relevent bits are all there but at least we know everything is going well... yippee.
Like floozie, due to prem birth last time, we will have extra scans now too which is nice. One at 28 weeks, then 32, then 36. Just hope that we get to 36 weeks this time!! Going well so far though.

moonstorm · 26/05/2010 23:13

Congratulations dontstopmenow !

Silversky god luck tomorrow! A few of us at nearly the same time!!

floozietoozie · 26/05/2010 23:33

dontstopmenow How prem were you last time? I can't remember if you've said before, sorry. Well done on the scan, and all the others from today. Seems like so many of you! Even though I saw LO on the scan for amnio it wasn't exactly in the most relaxing conditions, so I'm really looking forward to mine but have to wait three weeks on Friday for it .

Really must go to bed. I had a busy day with DS, so much for resting while off work, but it was the first time I've been out on foot since Friday and took him to the park, and actually it was lovely just to be normal with him, and feel relaxed about everything, apart from slight worries about lifting him occasionally. I emailed some friends and told them about being pg, and tried to ring one of my best mates who I'll be seeing in a few weeks but no answer. I'm just waiting to tell her before I go Facebook public.

tiredfeet · 27/05/2010 00:25

hello ladies, I am so pleased to see how many people have had their scans while I have been away, congratulations all of you . I have had a lovely break catching up with friends and family up north (and trying not to bore them with pregnancy / baby chat!)

Our scan went well last Thursday, although the lady doing it was very grumpy. We didn't find out the sex, I told DH he could choose whether we did or not and in the end he decided not to, so it will be a surprise!

Has anyone else's tummy button started disappearing? I pulled my jumper up so DH could feel baby kick, and then squealed when I realised my tummy button had shrunk loads! I had to run and look at it in the mirror, DH found it hilarious

PatsyIsPreggers · 27/05/2010 08:43

Lol Tiredfeet just read your post and had to take a sneaky peek at my bellybutton under my desk (I'm at work) to make sure it hadn't disappeared. It's still there!

Sounds like a lot of us have our scans this PM. Good luck to everyone!

And good news about all the other scans yesterday being good.

Elsa123 · 27/05/2010 08:50

Morning! thank you for the global congrats Tiredfeet. Congratulations on your scan! My failsafe trousers are still fitting, but not so comfy when I am lounging on the sofa. Yes, my belly button is smaller too, but its an odd one anyway, pretty shallow.

I'm going to the GPs today to find out the results of the blood test taken 7 weeks ago. I was absolutely dog tired last night and when my supermarket home delivery didn't have the tights I ordered in it and I'd totally and utterly run out- I could have cried! My dH came with me on a trip to the shops at 8 o'clock at night to get some and all they had was support tights, but they'll do!

The head of our company has suddenly died, which obviously has thrown everything into disarray, so today will be rather odd.

SamanthaB123 · 27/05/2010 08:50

Good Morning,

Still waiting to find out if I am immune to chickenpox or not, the only person at my surgery who could tell me left work before the result arrived yesterday evening so I am at home again today. She doesn't start work until 11am. I'm not complaining, I slept terribly last night and was awake for several hours. Feel grotty today.

It all does seem much worse in the middle of the night too...I am really jealous of all the scans that are taking place. I am worried about my babies movements and yet my scan still isn't for another 11 days. I really feel that I need the reassurance. I am also desparate to know if we are having a boy or a girl.

Tiredfeet My belly button is definately changing. It popped out with both the girls so I've been keeping an eye on it to see how it is going! It is much less deep at the bottom and when I sit down, is just beginning to look like it might pop out.

Has anyone got that red line down their belly yet? I had that with both pregnancies too. They do say that it only happens with darker skinned people but I am really fair and still had it. I can't remember when it appeared though.

Hope everyone has a lovely day, SB x

Elsa123 · 27/05/2010 10:10

Samb I hope all goes well on the chicken pox thing. Congratulations on the bump lilsteel!

mamjo · 27/05/2010 10:10

Congrats to all those who had scans yesterday and good luck to all those planned for today.
Mine isn't untill the 7th and I am really excited.

I think that I may have felt some movement at last yesterday. I went to the Paul Weller gig at the Royal Albert Hall and the it was either the baby having a boogie or the reverb from the base.

Have a good day all

SamanthaB123 · 27/05/2010 10:15

I have immunity to chickenpox. It is official. What a bloody palava (don't know how to spell it!)! At least I am in the clear and can go to work and teach children who may be infected, what a massive relief.

I also called my midwife again and said that I wanted to see her so that she could listen tto the baby's heartbeat as I had been so worried. She was reluctant to start with but realised how worried I was and I am seeing her at 12 noon. I feel really relieved that I am finally being taken seriously - and a little nervous. Hopefully by 12.15 I will have a clean bill of health and I will be reassured that the baby is fine too. Fx, SB

dontstopmenow · 27/05/2010 10:25

SamB glad you are immune - what a relief. Hope the appt with midwife goes well, they always seem reluctant to do extra appointments don't they?! I guess they have quotas to meet like everyone.

floozie - was 6 weeks early last time, abrupted placenta DS was 3lb and 1/2 oz!

Have a good day all.

PatsyIsPreggers · 27/05/2010 10:29

oooh, palava makes me think of pavlova. Yum!

Good news you're immune SamB. Hope the appointment goes well.
