Oh and I've read somewhere that around now (19weeks in my case) the baby sleeps approx 18 hours a day so those not getting a lot of movement could be because they are asleep so much.

Elsa123 · 26/05/2010 13:20

Hello all, boy do you talk, loads of posts since Monday morning! I had my s20 week scan on Monday afternoon and everything looked tickety boo. I told my boss yesterday that I was pregnant and when I then said and 5 months gone, his jaw hit the floor. Need to tell my staff I suppose. I just don't like telling people! I have not had time to read posts, but I hope everyone's ok and so pleased everything is fine floozie. x x x

SamanthaB123 · 26/05/2010 13:25

Oh dear, we aren't doing so well today are we? I am going into school for a meeting once all the children have gone and really need to get my act together. I should at least shower...!

Chin up Nymph, in two years time we will look back on our pregnancies wistfully, while contemplating doing it all over again ! SB x

nymphadora · 26/05/2010 13:34

Can't believe you've kept it quiet that long elsa! SamB Another one is an iffy thing atm. Would love to but the way this pg is going added to the need to move if we had 4 kids and the bigger car etc...

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 26/05/2010 13:59

Vikks- congrats on a good scan, may be it is a modest girl? Mine also had her legs jammed shut, but in 35 mins he hadn't seen any penis/scrotum! We could still be up for a surprise come delivery

I have seen some 3d pics and to me they looked freaky mummified, but my friends loved them so it's very much individual taste

nymph- you sound like you are having a very tough time of it, I would vote for a wheel barrow at hay, or maybe shopping trolley a la student days?!

Sam- good luck in getting it sorted. A gentle reminder once daily tends to do the trick re ab, they are likely to have put you on a broad spectrum ab that is affective against most common bugs, whilst they wait for culture and sensitivity. Culture takes 3 days, plus reporting, plus time to get to the lab. Annoying but I really hope they give you an answer soon.

Katy- Hello! Your collegues will be surprised!!! You must be tiny still tis a good thing in the heat.

I had a productive day at work after yesterday's non event. Home with ds asleep so about to read my book!

SamanthaB123 · 26/05/2010 14:20

Thanks for all the messages, how lovely, I feel much better already. Showering has helped too !

nymph we are 'having one baby at a time' and seeing how it goes. We have to move for or soon after this baby as we don't have enough room where we are now. I quite like the idea of another baby, but am not sure where I will get the energy from!

mamjo · 26/05/2010 14:33

Hi all, I haven't been on here for weeks. Hope everyone is ok! You all seem in quite high spirits.

I was wondering if any of you are having your 20 week scans as late as 22+3? I wasn't that concerned when I got the date through but I seem to be the only one waiting this long. Also I am still not sure whether or not I am feeling movents so would love the peace of mind of seeing the baby active.

Take care all.

lilsteel1 · 26/05/2010 15:14

Good afternoon peeps,

I am just back from my 20 week scan and everything is looking good, and so was the gender. DRUMROLL PLEASE - I am having a BOY. He is called Logan James

Hermya321 · 26/05/2010 15:17

Oh my word! I've only been at work a few hours and I've sworn several times, nearly burst into tears twice and had to leave the room just to stop myself from hitting people. Pregnancy sucks! I hate going from 0 to cranky in less time than it takes to say jaffa cake.

SilverSky · 26/05/2010 16:08

I think scans can be between 19 - 22 weeks.

ILoveGregoryHouse · 26/05/2010 16:18

Oh lilsteel, two of my sons are called Logan and James. Lovely names, of course . Congratulations.

Right, off to do a new stats list. Please add yourself on as and when, will link as soon as I've set it up.

Katy86 · 26/05/2010 16:20

Hello!!!!
Congrats lilsteel !!!!! we are now 10.10.10 buddies annnnd gender buddies woohoo!! And absolutely LOVE the name Logan but I think being name buddies would take it too far lol

I just went to mothercare and the are relocating so all their display stuff is in the sale and the carseat I want was there...I got it for £73.50 down from £125 woohoooo successful day

PatsyIsPreggers · 26/05/2010 16:21

Congratulations Lilsteel!!! Great news your scan was good. A lovely little boy to dress in blue and do boy things with. awww.

That starts to balance it back out a bit, as most others seem to be girls so far!

ILoveGregoryHouse · 26/05/2010 16:27

mamjo, I'm having an anomaly scan at 22+1. My doc said she preferred to do them at 22 weeks especially as I already had a gender scan and she checked a lot there.

NinthWave · 26/05/2010 16:29

Just a fly-by post to let you all know that I had my scan today (my 30th birthday ) and all is fab - we are having another little boy to join my DS! Am so so happy, my DS (2.10) wants to call it Charlie Cook, or Baby Nee Naw ...

PatsyIsPreggers · 26/05/2010 16:37

Congratulations NinthWave!

mamjo · 26/05/2010 16:47

Thanks for the reassurance about the 22 week scan!!

I think baby nee naw is a brilliant name!!!

NinthWave · 26/05/2010 16:54

Thanks Patsy

Congrats to everyone else with good scans/finding out the sex - I have been REALLY bad at keeping up with this thread recently, and feel a bit like I only come on here to shout about myself and then bugger off again I do read though, honest guv!

AbFabT · 26/05/2010 17:21

Happy 30th Birthday, 9th!

lilsteel1 · 26/05/2010 17:28

Happy birthday 9th kathy name buddies would go too far lol but the next 20 weeks are going to fly in hopefully.

My DS who is 8 just informaed me that his name for baby is Wolverine as Logan and James are his real names... FAB glad he has warmed to the having a brother idea as he wanted a sister.

Good luck to everyone due scans and checks have a great wednesday

nymphadora · 26/05/2010 17:30

Happy Birthday ninth

feeling a bit brighter, maybe cos I've been out & seen people? Did school run in the car but a bit safer! Just been talking to a mummy friend who is a MW and I was trying not to talk shop to her but she kept asking! One thing she said was when it's a new partner your body treats it as a new experience so it's like being pg for the first time

RooBear · 26/05/2010 17:32

congrats lil and 9th more boys coming through! In answer to your earlier question nymph no my legs seem fine, just woke up and couldn't seem to get comfy again, dread to think what i'll be like in a few months! hope you get better x

Ivytheterrible · 26/05/2010 18:03

Back from my scan as well! All good with our baby so really happy I'm having a girl which I'm delighted about - I know what I want as a name but have yet to convince my husband! Now Sssshhhhh no-one except for me knows the sex and I've got to keep in that way so husband gets his surprise!

Great to hear about everyone elses scans - keep them coming and happy birthday ninth

Xavielli · 26/05/2010 18:13

Argh Katy I've just noticed you are younger than me. I was basking in the glory of being the youngest!

Have put myself in the 'unknown' catagory but I will hopefully find out June 15th!
