Hello... Technically I'm due on 30 March, but the March list is already quite long and if DS was anything to go by, we'll be well into April by the time this shrimp makes an appearance (fingers crossed, touch wood, etc etc! - still at the early superstitious stage!!). Shall I start with some stats? I'm 34 (will be 35 just after birth), DH is 33. We've got one DS just turned 2.

Hope to have some thread partners soon, I'm v friendly, honest

Well I got myself checked into the system at the docs yesterday & got a copy of good old Emmas Diary which I had to hide in my bag when I went into work
Doc did more checks than I remembered last time - checked weight, Blood Pressure & tested wee sample. I still feel OK, apart from being tired which seems to give me a headache, although I have had a few times where I felt a tiny bit queasy.
Have a good weekend all

Baggybear. It does get easier xx

Tumblemum · 14/08/2005 21:34

Just found out I am expecting an April baby so can I join your thread?, due 23rd, though went over with ds so might be only just . Stats me 36, dh 31 and ds two at the end of the year. Cannot believe it as trying but did not feel pg at all and feeling very despondent about it all.

I lost my last baby in the first trimester so thinking of you Baggybear

Ponka · 14/08/2005 22:03

So sorry Baggybear.Thinking of you.

Welcome Tumblemum.

Onlyjust - I'm 28.

trying4bump · 14/08/2005 22:37

I've just found out last tuesday that i'm pg and due 9th april. I'm still in shock as it was only our first month of ttc and i dont think it's sunk in properly yet

Ponka · 15/08/2005 13:16

Congratulations trying4bump. Are you thinking of changing your name now?

sarahlou1 · 15/08/2005 15:24

Hi all, hope everyone is o.k. - just to keep you updated on the job front, hadn't heard anything since trial session on Wednesday and as they said they would let me know by the end of the week I spent all weekend thinking well I musn't have got the job & really fed up as was wondering how we were going to be able to manage, even if I only work for 3 weeks I would then be entitled to maternity allowance as I worked up until 3 months ago when we moved!!! Anyway have rung them today & they are waiting for references so perhaps all is not lost!! Haven't had docs appt. yet as have been waiting to hear about the job & won't feel so guilty about taking it if I haven't had pg confirmed yet!!

Congratulations Gipfeli, Colditz, Tumblemum & trying4bump & to update the list:-

peepee · 15/08/2005 16:57

Ladies,

Hope no-one minds me butting in.....Just found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant.... Am really anxious. But am also soooooooooooo xcited!!!!!!!

I hve been seen by a consultant at Queen Charlottes hospital. Have a pre booked appointment tom. for a scan and seeing the consultant regarding heparin jabs and aspirin. I hope we don't get a telling off for getting pregnant. I suppose this means they will have to speed things up now. I have been waiting since the begining of April for appointments and test results. Was told about 3 weeks ago no problems with dh or I except my blood was too thick therefore could be a major factor as to why I have been miscarrying. Scan was made for tom. to check out my womb size.

Anyhow, I hope we all get through the next 8 mths or so without any problems......

Lots of luck to all... [GRIN]

peepee · 15/08/2005 16:58

Oh,

Should have said due date is 16th April 2006....

I thought it was about time I joined in. I am 7 weeks pg, I am not sure of my exact due date as I am yet to see the mw, but the online calculator says 5th April.

I am 30 and DH is 31 and we have one DS who will be 2 next month.

I was really sick with DS and it didn't stop until about 28 weeks, this time round I have been ill from 5 weeks (earlier than last time) and incredibly tired. At least last time I could just take myself off to bed for a days if I needed to.

peepee · 16/08/2005 17:58

Hi all.

Saw the prof today. Had a scan but it's too early to see anything other than a black blob. Have to have another in 2 weeks. Have been perscribed a daily dose of aspirin 75mg, progesterone which has to be inserted and a low dosage heparin jab. I thought I would only be doing the drugs for first 12 weeks but have been told it is upto week 34

Lets hope all goes well. I do feel better knowing that someone is out there trying to help us. It makes me that bit more positive.

Fingers crossed all goes well.

PeePee.x

Good news on the drugs etc PeePee, well, might be a bit of a pain carrying on with them til 34 wks esp the prog. but it sounds like its all under control and as you say, happy that someones batting for you. Is this the first time you've been prescribed drugs for your blood? You don't mention if this will be your first child, altho you do mention miscarriage. Sorry if that all sounds too nosey!

I've not been feeling too bad this week sickness wise... although could be due to the fact that I have now been to friend's wedding, worn the far-too-expensive outfit with millimetres to spare and am now eating approx every 20 mins! Absolutely knackered all the time tho and feeling a bit low about how lethargic I am, how little I'm getting done etc. Trying not to take it out on DS but patience just seems to be so thin whilst I'm so tired. I thought this was going to be a good age gap, but not so sure the combination of the terrible 2s and early preg. symptoms are a great idea!

Hospital left a message yesterday with a scan date of next Fri! As haven't the nuchral scan yet (they do them at 2 sep. hospitals where I am) and haven't been booked in with hospital midwives yet, I rang them to check it wasn't too early (I'll be 9 wks). They said anything over 6 wks was fine for a dating scan... so off I go with full bladder in tow. Really excited, but also more nervous than with first scans for DS. Guess more aware of the potential for sadness or something, but am really really nervous. I just want it to be next Friday -NOW!

Tumblemum · 16/08/2005 21:10

just popping in to say hello,

bit disconcerted tonight as still do not feel pg and so this is v diff to pg with ds when felt sick and tired , just feel occasionally tired but that is pretty normal for me

only similarity to previous ones is that i am back on the nuts and trying to avoid peanuts, pistachios today, guess it must be the protein

just want to get through the next eight weeks all safe and sound

hope those that are feeling a bit rough feel better soon
night all

Homsa · 17/08/2005 09:03

Hi all, just wanted to say congratulations to everyone who's joined recently!

MrsQ, I think I will also be very nervous before the scans in this pregnancy, first time round I had absolutely no idea about missed m/cs and all that stuff, I just assumed everything would be fine! Hope everything goes well for you on Friday!!!

Locks, morning sickness til 28 weeks must have been awful! I only had it up to 12/13 weeks, and that was quite enough... I'm only 4 weeks pregnant (I think), but I've been feeling pretty rough for the past 4 days, and now I'm getting really worried how I will cope with my 2 yo DS when I get to the throwing-up-and-wanting-to-die stage (not quite there yet!!!). I've taken to snacking every couple of hours, seems to help a bit, and I'm really looking forward to my afternoon naps these days!

peepee · 17/08/2005 19:50

Pregnancy twinges.........
I am just over 5 weeks and do not recall getting this in my previous pregnancies (0 viable)
Does anyone have any? I keep getting a warm twinge in the left groin area.....Not too uncomfotable but am starting to worry a bit? Is it normal? Has anyone else had anything like it? I am going to worry at the slightest thing..

I am going cuckooooooooooooooooo.....
Can anyone help?

Busyalexsmummy · 17/08/2005 20:50

peepee-CONGRATULATIONS!!!

you must be so pleased to be pg again-I wish you all the bust of luck in the world

Liz 26+4 (from nov thread)

Ponka · 17/08/2005 22:01

Hmmm. Peepee. I've been getting little twinges in the right groin area. I don't remember them from before. They are just tiny. I was also a little worried (in a kind of I know I'm being paranoid kind of a way). Perhaps they are normal?

I am starting to look a little pregnant. I was really huge last time (or perhaps that's the box of Thorntons chocolates DH gave me for our anniversary ! More likely at this stage!

Hi all. Hope everyone's O.K. Oooh Mrs. Q. Hope Friday goes o.k.

Enthusia · 18/08/2005 06:35

PeePee

Congrats to all the new posters on this thread.
Sorry to report, I'll be leaving this thread as I had another m/c at 6 weeks.
I'm OK - it's better happening now than later I suppose, if its going to happen.

Huge hugs & loads of good wishes to you all over the coming months.
(I'll be keeping an eye on this thread from a distance every now & again to see how you are all doing)

peepee · 18/08/2005 22:02

Beksmum, Enthusia and Busyalexmummy.....

Thanks for your messages. It did make me a bit teary. It was lovely hearing from you guys. Hope all is well.

I am still shocked at being hear again. Am a bit anxious as I realised how real all this is. I had to tell work today as I do a high risk job and therefore have to be given desk duties. I only told management.
When i got your messages it just made me a little sad (happy sad) just because I am starting all over again ( very happy but also sad that I am no longer on the November thread) Does that make sense?
Off too bed now. Keep in touch ladies....I'll pop over to check out the thread........

Peepee.x Big hugs

starshaker · 18/08/2005 22:07

hi just want to wish u all the best my dd is an april 05 baby.

MrsEvs · 19/08/2005 03:39

Hello All

Can I join in? Found out about 10 days ago that I'm pg, due April 6th/7th (one website said one and another the day after?!?)

I'm 30 and have a dd who just turned 1 on july 27th. Am so far feeling fairly nauseous and extremely tired. Had the tiredness last time but no sickness at all. I suppose it is too much to expect to be so lucky twice! On the positive side though boobs aren't half as sore this time, although I was wondering whether they are as sore but in comparison to the feeling of milk coming in/not BFing for a few hours it doesn't seem so bad

I don't think it has fully sunk in yet for me actually. I feel far more superstitious about things this time. I had a really easy pregnancy with dd and keep thinking it can't possibly go as smoothly this time. Silly I know, I'm sure it will pass as the weeks (hopefully!) go on.

Anyway, conrats to everyone on the thread and hugs to those who m/c. Happened to me before conceiving dd, so my thoughts and prayers are with you.
