Hello... Technically I'm due on 30 March, but the March list is already quite long and if DS was anything to go by, we'll be well into April by the time this shrimp makes an appearance (fingers crossed, touch wood, etc etc! - still at the early superstitious stage!!). Shall I start with some stats? I'm 34 (will be 35 just after birth), DH is 33. We've got one DS just turned 2.

Hope to have some thread partners soon, I'm v friendly, honest

I am an officer of zee lawwwww.......... Ssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhh don't tell anyone........

MrsEvs · 23/08/2005 01:06

Tumlemum, had no symptoms at all for ages with my dd, and no nausea at all. The closest thing I had to symptoms was being a more picky eater but no real cravings or anything like that. I had the easiest and most uncomplicated pregnancy ever so no symptoms could be a good thing?

This time I have have plenty of nausea but still no sore boobs or dizziness or anything. Even when today they took 10 test tubes of blood from me - what in God's name are they testing me for with all of that!!!!

peepee · 23/08/2005 09:49

Mrs Evs,
You are also possibly suffering from insomnia!
Check out the time of your last entry!

I have been getting to bed at about 8ish. Wot a struggle last night. I was working till 10. Am working till 11 tonight. Can't wait!

Locks · 23/08/2005 17:40

I am still feeling really nauseous and get so tired really easily. The weekend was great as I went away with my parents and they let me sleep

I am going away again tomorrow with my Mum and DS so hopefully I will get some more rest.

Early pregnancy is awful, I hope these feelings soon pass, although they will only be replaced with feeling like a beached whale and not be able to move easily!

The only good thing is that I now work for myself so at least on my work days I can go and put my feet up if I want to

HellKat · 23/08/2005 17:43

Peepee- {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}} Feeling alot better here. Easing off now (thank goodness). Leaving it until next month, if still ridiculously heavy, then I'll ask for laser surgery. How are you? Enjoying early pg symptoms? Hope you have'nt got ms too bad.
Talk soon hunny, take care.

Tumblemum · 23/08/2005 19:14

Peepee sorry not to have replied I had gone to bed, how many more days before your cruise
MrsEvs thanks for the reassurance, just feeling a bit weird at the moment and looking forward to early scan
Anyone know how soon you can get a scan that can tell if things are viable/normal?

MrsQ · 23/08/2005 19:44

Tumblemum, they can do a dating scan anything from 6 weeks (Homsa, that's 6 wks from your LMP ). But as far as I know, the earliest they do nuchral scans is 11 weeks. How many weeks are you now?

Oh sorry, the numbers don't make as much sense when they're not in columns! Its name, due date, age, DH age, Ds/Dd's.

Homsa · 23/08/2005 20:44

Thanks for the list MrsQ! Yay, 15 of us already!!

Tumblemum, sorry to hear you're so worried. Hopefully an early scan will put your mind at rest. At 5 weeks I didn't have any pg symptoms at all either! Unlike now!!!

I spoke to our solicitor today about our house move and it looks like we'll be hanging around in Cambridge for at least 3-4 more weeks, by which time I will be almost 12 weeks pg. (yep I know how to count now ) I'm actually quite glad about the delay, as the ms will hopefully have eased off a little by then - I feel completely overwhelmed at the moment just thinking about organising everything... But I guess that means I will need to see my gp in Cambridge now to try and get a dating scan here (was going to wait till we'd moved to Sheffield).

I'm also finishing my job this week! Friday will be my last day!!! How do I explain I can't get drunk??

Any news on the job front, SarahLou?

tortoiseshell · 23/08/2005 21:24

Can I join? Due about the 26th April, though will prob be May (am always late!)

Tumblemum · 23/08/2005 21:38

Welcome tortoiseshell, I am likely to be May too as I went over with ds1. Hope you are feeling well.

peepee · 24/08/2005 09:35

This is better..........
There are loads of us now!
Am off work for 4 days . Have really been looking forward to it.
I felt really bad yesterday. Had a fifteen minute walk through an alley at 8ish to go and get some photos(work stuff) I was nearly in tears. My lower back was killing me. The nausea was horrid too. DH called me on my mobile whilst I was walking through the alley. He was not impressed. He got in the car and started driving towards me. That made me cry. Anyway, I got my photos and headed home. He met up with me,picked me up and took me for a meal.
AAAAAAAaaaaahhhhhhhh, I hear you all saying. I am sure he only did it so's he could have a couple of cool refreshing pints of lager.
Anyway, enough going on by me.
Ooohhh, just wanted to add. Checked out the list and have noticed how many of us are in our 30's.
Cool.
Going shopping now for some cruising gear!
Peepee

peepee · 24/08/2005 16:25

Back from some theraputic shopping.
Not feeling too nauseaus today (a bit worrying).
Getting excited about the cruise now I have some new clobber. DH won't be too impressed when he gets home.

Been a bit naughty today!!!!!
Got up on some steps and finished painting the kitchen. DH will go mad.

I suppose I better make a nice dinner for him to help him forget what I have done.

Why am I writing all of this? Noboby checks into this thread during the day. Where are you all?
I want someone to talk to!

Off to do some on line banking but will be back as soon as I have finished to check if anyone is there.

BBBBBYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

MrsQ · 24/08/2005 19:24

I doubt you're still banking Peepee.. unless you went really mad on your shopping spree. Nice shop distractions (rather than grot work ones) are probably why you didn't feel nauseous. Isn't it really obvious to your colleagues when you have to switch to desk/safe jobs?

Good news about move Homsa, think I'd prefer to be moving after ms has eased off, not only that but I'm not sure I'd have nearly enough energy to pack boxes. Have you said why you're moving btw? Not sure what you'll do at your leaving do... does anyone know? Could you arrange for them to get your drinks and just get you tonic all night or something? Boring isn't it!

Welcome Tortoiseshell

OP posts:
Homsa · 24/08/2005 20:39

peepee, did you get told off by your dh? Mine has a real bee in his bonnet about chemicals - I did a little bit of decorating too in my last pregnancy and he sulked for days!!! (didn't seem to have done ds any harm, btw)

MrsQ, we're moving because of dh's job, his grant money was running out and they offered him a nice secure job in Sheffield, it was a no-brainer really. Luckily, they're going to reimburse our moving costs, so I'm really going to take them to the cleaners! Will get the moving company to do ALL the packing, I'll even try and persuade them to put up the stairgates!!! (which would take dh weeks)

Today I discovered the healing powers of coke! It soothes my tummy and gets all the burps out!!! But it makes me a bit hyper!!!!!!

Congratulations tortoiseshell!

Tumblemum · 24/08/2005 21:07

Hi all, any of you bought any maternity clothes yet, want to get some nice gear this time round and not wear my sister's out of season maternity hand me downs . Any recommendations?
Very tempted by Isabella Oliver's range, anyone had a look? if so what do you like. I like the ruffle skirt, the long skirt the smooth line trousers.
Had a really good day at work today.

peepee · 25/08/2005 11:46

OOOhhhhhhh maternity wear is a big no no for me in this house.
I do not want to tempt fate. I remember with my first pg I wa so excited I dragged dh to Mothercare. We were only looking didn't buy clothes just a book. Within two weeks I had m/c.

Does anyone know whether the nausea is supposed to be bad all the time. A few days ago I was really bad. Had heart burn all the time... all day. It was awful. Felt a tiny bit nauseous this morning but nothing since. I am really willing it on, but nothing. I am starting to worry.
Does anyone have any advice?

ChaCha · 25/08/2005 12:58

Sorry to gatecrash the thread but have been meaning to send a msg to peepee for ages.....

Congratulations Peepee
Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy and will be stalking your progress.....

shelly24 · 25/08/2005 13:56

Hello everyone on this thread.x
i hope its ok to join you all,as i really need some support right now.x
I'll be 8weeks preg this coming sunday after losing my first born son who was stillborn in may.
I really hope i can join you lot to help get through the months to come,as i reckon they are going to be pretty hard!I still can't get my head around the fact that i am preg!Even though i have done all in all 10 preg tests!!(YES...10!!),and have lots of symtoms,i refuse to believe it still!!
Here are my stats below:
me:24
DH:27
Me:nursery nurse
DH:works for coca cola enterprises
Married in jan 05
Firstborn:Rhys,born an angel:14.05.05
Currently 7+4 weeks today
Due date:9th april 2006

spots · 25/08/2005 20:30

Congrats shelley! Hope everyone is feeling ok today. I am dog tired every day but DD has a good old sleep after lunch so I can do that too. I don't know HOW you working mums can manage through the day, let alone till 10/11 at night peepee!

I had a scan last Wed to date the pg and it was really odd to see it so tiny in there. A bit disconcerting to be honest. It looked so fragile! I have ended up telling lots of people about my pg and sort of wish I hadn't ... but it's so hard when it affects everything you do isn't it? so many times in conversation you feel you'd be misleading someone if you didn't tell them.

peepee · 25/08/2005 21:23

Evening ladies!

Shelley24, you must be really apprehensive. It is difficult to find the right things to say. I can't begin to imagine what you have been through.
I am so sorry that you lost Rhys. Life can be so cruel! Please try and stay positive. we are here to help each other and to talk to each other.

We all have to be positive.

I have had 4 m/c and am really scared of the outcome of this pregnancy. I realise it's not up to me what happens. I beleive that if it is meant to be it'll be. All we can do is try and keep our beanies as safe as possible whilst they are lodging with us.
I have been very tearful today....I have always m/c around this time (6+2 weeks)though they have been missed m/c. I have never realised until between 7 to 11 weeks. I am due a scan on tuesday and cannot help fearing the worst.

All we can do is pray all our babies will be healthy.

Hi

First time on Mumsnet. I'm due 30th April, so no doubt go over to May.

My stats:
Me: 33
DH: 34
DS: 3 yrs

My preg symptons keep coming and going, which is driving me insane. I keep worrying it's all gone away.

This is the earliest I have ever known I'm pregnant. Last time I waited for a missed period. Whereas, this time I did a test 4 days early.

All the best to the rest of you that are worrying.

munz · 26/08/2005 09:40

shelly (((hugs)))) don't worry hon, I did 15 b4 I beleieved the tests - and 3 of those were CB digital/2CB normal! lol.
