Hello... Technically I'm due on 30 March, but the March list is already quite long and if DS was anything to go by, we'll be well into April by the time this shrimp makes an appearance (fingers crossed, touch wood, etc etc! - still at the early superstitious stage!!). Shall I start with some stats? I'm 34 (will be 35 just after birth), DH is 33. We've got one DS just turned 2.

Hope to have some thread partners soon, I'm v friendly, honest

Hi MrsQ! CONGRATULATIONS !

I'm already on March 2006 thread (due 28th march) but like you, my other DS's have all been late so will probably produce in April!

When was your DS 2?? My DS3 just turned 2 aswell! We could have alot on common.

Oh BTW - I'm 30, DH 31, DS1 6, DS2 5, DS2.

MrsQ · 31/07/2005 19:53

Evening! Only have one DS at the mo, this will be number 2. I'm v impressed with your three already - you must have a lot of energy (or at least, you did have! )

OP posts:
baggybear · 31/07/2005 22:28

I'm not so sure about having lots of energy!! But you're right, whatever it was its gone now!!

When was your son turn 2yrs?

MrsQ · 01/08/2005 09:09

Beg of July, 7th. How about yours? Are all your sons' birthdays close? It was sooooo hot when DS was born I was determined not to have another mid summer baby, even if it meant taking a break from TTC if I hadn't got pregnant soon - IYSWIM!

munz · 01/08/2005 09:14

baggybear · 01/08/2005 10:29

MrsQ - Can't believe it!! My ds3 was 2 on 16th july!!!! It as SOOOO hot that summer wasn't it!! I remember sitting on the sofa b/feeding DS3 literally topless coz i couldn't stand the heat!!

My DS's are all close birthdays - DS1 is May, DS2 is end of July and DS3 is mid_July as i said.

How are you feeling today? Have you been getting any MS yet?

aprilmeadow · 01/08/2005 11:26

Just wanted to wish you ladies all the best with your pg's. I cant believe that a year has past so quickly, i was on the due in April '05 thread and had a little boy on 24/4.

baggybear · 01/08/2005 11:51

Thank you aprilmeadow. Hope all is well with you and your DS. xx

MrsQ · 01/08/2005 14:11

Thanks aprilmeadow, time does whizz past these days doesn't it!

No "morning" sickness particularly... mostly seems in the afternoon a general sort of travel sickness kind of feeling. Luckily didn't get it too badly last time so hoping for the same. Did get chronic fatigue last time tho so am hoping that doesn't appear - not quite so easy to sleep in til lunchtime at weekends any more! How about you baggybear?

Cadmum · 01/08/2005 15:46

Yippee! An April Thread! (Even if you really are due in March ) Congratulations from a March threader! The time is actually passing...

baggybear · 01/08/2005 15:57

Morning sickness has kicked in a bit. Each baby I have, the sickness gets worse and I have it for longer. So expecting a rough ride with this one. Get really tired about this time of
of day aswell. Trying to keep myself awake right now by talking to you ! Once my older 2 go back to school I will start having an afternoon nap when DS3 has a sleep. Does your DS still have a daytime nap, MrsQ?

baggybear · 02/08/2005 09:26

Morning MrsQ! How are you today?

TicTac · 02/08/2005 16:41

Wow an April thread! I am on the due Feb '06 thread and time is just zooming by! Congrats to you on this threead though and I hope the MS doesn't get you down! Although there are plenty of us in the Feb thread still quite rough

baggybear · 02/08/2005 19:01

Thanks tictac! Sorry to hear some of you feb ladies are still feeling grotty. But I can assure you i will still be feeling pretty rotten when I get to your stage. I wish you all the luck for your pregnancy and the birth(!)XX

MrsQ · 02/08/2005 20:05

Evening. Sorry didn't post back last night, since we got back from holiday last week we've had absolute nightmares getting DS to go to sleep. By the time I gave up at 8.30 and DH finally got him off around 9 I was too shattered to do anything other than stare at tv in a kind of fazed out daze! In answer to your q, yes DS does still have a daytime nap (thank god! not looking foward to that stopping - when is that normally by the way?). Today I tried cutting it back to about an hour & half (left to his own devices it can be more like 2&1/2) incase it was too much day sleep making him difficult in evening. I think actually what it is tho is some kind of new thing that he doesn't want to be on his own in his room. On hols he was sharing a v small room with my (grown up) SIL but every night he would stir at about 3am and call out for me. Cos I didn't want to wake the in-laws too, I would scuttle into the bedroom and bring DS into my bed, where he would fall fast asleep again (something he never does at home) until normal waking time. Tonight during his bath I was going through the upcoming bed routine with him and always when I got to the bit about mummy going into her room for her dreams he'd get really upset and cry-y. So somehow got to break that cycle! Seems to be going much much better already tonight tho, having spent most of story time reassuring him that he just needed to call and I'd come (I can already feel yet another rod creeping up my back but still...!).

God, sorry, didn't mean to go on. DH is at the pub tonight and I clearly needed to get that off my chest!

(Just had first trip back into DS, I really hope he settles more quickly tonight. Am shattered)

baggybear · 02/08/2005 21:24

Ah, MrsQ, sorry to hear DS is giving you a bit of jip. My DS3 is a so-and-so for bed. He's still up now . I on;y stopped BFing him the about 5 weeks ago so we are still experiencing him coming into bed at night (well, i say "we" but its more like "I" coz DH is a permenant night worker ) I'm not going to attempt getting him into a bedtime routine until DS's 1&2 are back at school and back in their normal routine.

But you are right - going on holiday does upset their routine a lot. I really hope you get back in to the swing of things very soon. Let me know how it goes.

My DS3 still has an sfternoon nap, and I'm not going to do anything about it for a while. My other 2 grew out of it by themselves at about this age, but I'm not going to force DS3 to go all day yet. Hoping he will keep doing it once boys back at school so i can get an pm nap too!!!

baggybear · 03/08/2005 08:30

MrsQ - how was your night with DS?

sarahlou1 · 03/08/2005 10:32

Hi Mrs Q & baggybear - I've just found out will be due at beginning of April 06 - I'm 31 and also have a DD who's just turned 2!! - hope your night with DS was better Mrs Q. xx

baggybear · 03/08/2005 12:24

Hellooo Sarahlou1! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! When did you find out?? Although I'm due 28th March, I'm more likely to give birth on your due date (i have lazy little toads!! )

When was your DD 2? My DS3 was 2 on 16th July. And MrsQ has DS who was 2 in July as well (which i'm sure you have read already )

We have sooo much in common!!

MrsQ · 03/08/2005 13:12

Congratulations Sarahlou1! Funny we've all got 2 yr olds, hoping that will be quite a nice age gap by March... hopefully the Terrible 2s might be waning by then?! Baggybear you'll have to be our voice of experience!

Queasy-ness picked up early today, started mid-morning. Well, mid-morning when you've been awake since half five DS settled much more easily than last couple of nights but sounded quite frantic again when woke up early this morning. Hence I actually bothered to get up instead of lying there pretending to anyone I could that I couldn't hear him! Deffo going for a sleep myself as soon as his nibs settles, sod the housework.

OP posts:
baggybear · 03/08/2005 13:18

Good for you MrsQ!! Go and have a nice nap whilst DS sleeps. I did that yesterday. DS3 went to sleep and so did I - for a good 2 hours - WOW! The house work will be there later. Glad DS is going to bed a bit better, and it will probably keep getting better. My DS3 slept all night in his own bed last night!! Yipee!! Hopefully will do same tonight (fingers crossed!)

Have just posted on march thread about heartburn. Didn't get it until later months with others, but have got it right now. Have you had any yet?

I thought I felt okay this morning, but starting to feel really queasy now. Think i need to eat but really can't face anything

MrsQ · 03/08/2005 13:34

Haven't posted on March, but did get wicked heartburn last time. Not til later on tho. Initally I tried a homeopathic remedy, and then gave in and just lived on Rennie Rapeeze. I'd forgotten all about it til I started having seasick feeling again - brought back all those 'joys' of pg'y that you forget. Like the really itchy bump and only being able to sleep in one slightly odd position.

Know what you mean about not fancying anything... I keep thinking 'ooh great, pregnant again, eat what I like instead of what I should' - and then don't like the idea of anything. Trying to remember at the mo that the bump doesn't actually need the food of a 2nd fully grown adult yet - at least until after friend's wedding next weekend, paranoid I'm not gonna get into v. expensive outfit already!

Good news about your DS-free bed again (touch wood)... enjoy the 7/8 months of space while you have

OP posts:
baggybear · 03/08/2005 17:26

I'm making the most of not knowing what i fancy to eat at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I'm not dieting in any way. But i put on 4 stone with DS3 and i am determined not to do that again! I haven't put on an ounce yet so must be doing alright. Just eating healthy food - lots of fruit and veg and carbs like pasta and rice. Keeping clear of cakes and stodge (not that i fancy it anyway.) Made for green apples and the smell of lemons at the mo.

baggybear · 03/08/2005 17:26

That should be "mad for green apples etc"

OnlyJust · 03/08/2005 18:59

Hi all - I've only just found out (hence the name) I'm not revealing myself just yet!
I had a m/c back in Feb at 6 weeks so will be permanently worried!
I have a DS who's 5 at the end of September.
