hello ladies, and welcome katy86

I've been away and then had family staying straight after, so not been on for a while. I'm so so sorry to see that BundertheBonnet and Tiny are having such difficult times.

Pleased though to see some more happy scans, congratulations all

I'm feeling tonnes better now, not been sick for 10 days!!! Managed to get out and about and enjoy going out for meals/ walks/ sailing, so feeling a lot happier. I hope this brings lots of hope to anyone still suffering.

I finally have the small beginnings of a bump now, have to use a hairbobble to do jeans up (and cover with a bump band or long t-shirt). Was out for a posh dinner (but only eating small meal as it took a while for appetite to come back fully) and I just suddenly felt my belly pop out, had do undo my button as discretely as possible under the table! Was sooo glad I was wearing a long tunic type top!

Hello Katy86, cool due date, your 20 week scan is quite late, are you finding out the sex?

Afternoon all. My bump is has shrunk as my excessive bloating had reduced a LOT. My work skirt is a lot more comfy. Can't believe its 14 weeks today. Welcome fully roobear and Katy86!

Yippee, more October mummies!

Welcome Katy86. Glad you are staying, RoobBear, - I see the other thread is nearly full so it would be nice timing to send the ladies over here.

I've got my '16' week m/w appointment booked for when I am 17 weeks along - they did say it's anytime between 16-18 weeks, but if I am not on 16 weeks, I feel late!!!

Just heard my cousin is due in November. I am so pleased for them, though they live in Australia so sadly we won't be able to see each other (except on Skype).

I think 2010 is the busiest year out of all my friends for reproducing ever - I know loads who have either just had a baby or are expecting this year - is there something in the water?

Katy I've been having boy vibes all along, so much so that I've not even looked at any of the girly stuff.

Tyson86, I think they are wrong with when they reckon I conceived too - in fact, I KNOW they are (so according to me, I'll be more like 16+5 or less, as opposed to bang on 17). So the dates are just a rough guide, I think. I'm not too bothered, babies do grow at slightly different rates.
I don't know about the triple test - it just says 'review booking bloods' in my notes.

Katy86, we don't have any real gut feelings about gender; if pushed to say one or the other, both DH and I veer towards a boy, but this is based on absolutely nothing!!!
We certainly have no preference at all.
We're waiting 'til our baby pops out in October to find out.

Tiny so sorry to hear that, I've got everything possible crossed that you and bean are that 1%. Thinking of you.

MLS good luck today, hoping for the best for you!!

KSal great news about no news so pleased for you

By the way, I've re-added myself to the list under my new name, and ex-persona is gone.

Nymph great news about the scan, perhaps at 20 weeks you can ask them to check how dh's goat is coming along as well

Vmum great news from you too! You must be so relieved

lilmiss sorry to hear your care has been so crap, that's really awful for you, but unfortunately matches what I've heard from friends in rl.

Xav amazing cakes, I just showed them to dh to demonstrate how goddess like I could be if I stay at home unfortunately he's not buying it.

Hermya my appetite is up and down, sometimes I stuff my face, sometimes I can barely manage a few spoons of soup (and I dont mean one after the other). Most days though I do think I eat less than I was doing. But I'm also getting a lot less exercise, so overall result is I'm getting fatter, darn it!!

I've also been sicker in the last couple of weeks than I was in the first 12. I was barely sick at all then, just felt nauseous, whereas now, I feel better, but I throw up at the drop of a hat.... I just dont understand it all...

Hope everyone's having a good day

Hello katy86.

Have just got up from a three hour lie down. Took ds out first thing and had crampy pains and neededtoilet so think it may have been dp's bad gut thingy but not sure. Hungry now! Felt dreadfully sick too and wasn't sure if that was related or still ms.

Katy, I'm not finding out the sex but I keep thinking of bean as she. However I did that last time until I was about four months then was neutral/veering towards boy, which it was.

Katy86 · 15/04/2010 15:12

Tyson how much is that costing you if you dont mind me asking? because now i want to do that!!!

Abfab im getting boy vibes too! but had those last time and had a girl haha.

Hermya Ive been like that too! theres not much in the way of cute boy stuff around though

Ivy that is going to be so hard to not tell DH your going to have to be very careful you dont slip up

floozie are you calling her she beacause its different at all to when you were preg with DS? I think that is why i am veering towards a boy

xxx

KSal · 15/04/2010 15:15

i was totally convinced that DD would be a boy - i just couldn't imagine having a girl... when she 'popped' out female i was totally confused.

now, on the other hand i can't imagine having a boy... so it's bound to be one

Ooh, Ivy, are you SURE you can do that though? You won't go off shopping for blue or pink things, won't accidentally refer to he or she? Won't have more conversations about boy or girls' names? I'd find it VERY hard keeping that secret from my DH.

Katy86 It will be £125 as i want a 4D scan now with some pics on a CD-ROM and printed out at Preview near Kettering. I went there for my early reassurance scan and the woman was lovely You can get a 2D scan there for £75 aswell to find out the sex if you didnt want a 4D one. Going 2 weeks today as got to wait for DH to have a day off and you have to be 16+ weeks.

I'm definitely getting boy vibes, and a couple of people we've shown the scan photo to said they thought it looked boy like in it's development. Annoyingly, dh's uncle, who is an obstetrician and has correctly predicted everyone else's baby gender from 12 week scan photo, didn't say anything. Apparently it's neuter.

There are so many lovely girl things that I really want a girl. But when I naughtily bought two blueberry nappies (following IloveGH's recommendation) I made myself get purple and chocolate and blue which are fairly neutral.

They arrived today by the way and are gorgeous!! I heartily recommend www.kittykins.co.uk. They are reduced there, and very quick delivery times. Still hella expensive though, so only two for now. I told dh they will be the baby's "going home" nappies, and so have to be special.

Oh gosh, I just raved about nappies, life has become very surreal
