Here we go, pull up a deck chair, catch some rays and help yourselves to a mini eggs ice cream.

floozie hope today is better!

hermya walked down the hill to the house (150m?) then had a rest for about 20mins then walked up stairs (only one lot haven't been near top floor for ages, dread to think how bad the kids room is!) Have phoned Drs to have blood done today (&BP) but no appts and am at the hospital anyway.
Google tells me its common but needs checking and put a thread in pg last nighht which says similar.

I have three threads running in pregnancy at the moment if anyone knows anything about heart palpiations, c-sections and being horny in pregnancy!

sorry about the heartrate thing Nymph better to get checked out I think (sorry, I know you're having a lot of this at the moment!).

I'm feeling rough, couple of days when MS is back with a vengeance and I'm quite anxious - I'm hoping it's all just cos I have 16 week appt today and I'm nervous about that (because if that's the case I hope to feel better afterwards!) DH can't come with me so let's hope there's no bad news, eh?!

Had a lovely time yesterday - pub lunch with friends, then off to a party at another friend's place - the place was awash with babies and toddlers and lots of lovely mums with sensible advice so that was great. Heard an amazing story about hypnobirthing, I think some of you are interested in that aren't you? I may well invest in the course....

xx

Hermya cooool! It sounds amazing (if pricey - £300 where we live). The woman I spoke to said it helped to make labour a really brilliant experience which she'd love to do again (she's done it twice and was induced once and still managed to do it all with no pain relief so....)

hello all, hope you all had good weekends. Mine was lovely but very busy, luckily I've got a day off now to recover!

AbFab I saw an advert for the stokke the other day and I'm really interested. It looks lovely, it looks like its much higher off the ground than a lot of prams today. I'm not sure about the prams that are practically at car exhaust level, but then my mum had a really high pram so I guess thats what is 'normal' to me. The only thing that bothered me from the advert is that the stokke doesn't seem to have any kind of shopping basket bit?

dilly I'm quite interested in hypnobirthing too, although I haven't been totally convinced yet. There don't seem to be any classes round here though, so I would probably just have to get a book/ cd and not sure that would be as good really?

ooh I like the second name with the rollin!

Nymph I will check out your thread
Hermya I get soooo tired after walking too but havent noticed my blood pressure.
Happy Anniversary AbFab and VMum did you do anything nice?
VMum* 10!!!!!! My goodness. I think I have only got one and I was considering cancelling as I am huge already! I don't think I would fancy the one 4 days after your due date... either v heavily pregnant and possibility to go into labour or couple of day old baby - no thanks!

Saturday 5... hope it is not too late

  1. My childrens favourite book was "Going on a Beat Hunt" it is a lovely book to start with but DD loved to listen to it over and over again every night.

Cbeebies - no thank you, drives me mad - we ended up subscribing to Disney to avoid it. Playhouse Disney is much more civilised!

  1. Do you want a list?? Really suffering this week! Mainly hip and back ache - I am seeing the midwife on Thursday so will get it checked! Oh and the pain when sneezing! I don't remember suffering this bad with the last one!

  1. Yes 1 but I don't know if I am going to go yet!

  1. I have no idea... I have kind of lost interest now!

  1. Yes, I think we are going to go to Centre Parcs in France at the end of August. The plan is to get the Ferry over to do 1 night in Le Mans (so my boys can see the racetrack) , 7 nights in Centre Parcs and then we thought we would do 2 nights in Northern France where the Normandy Landings were.

I have the midwife on Thursday so very excited and apprehensive about that!

Anyone got any exciting plans this week?

Forgot to say when we were in Glasgow in John Lewis dh spent a lot of time playing with the prams (favouring trendy v expensive ones then looking ) He also spent a lot of time looking for the tiniest baby hats Think he is getting into it now!

I was just pleased cots werent as expensive as I thought.

Nymph I meant to say I like the new thread title and also that I feel your pain re maternity wear shopping - tears were shed last time I tried. Those mat jeans from Debenhams are working out well though, very comfy!

Thanks for the anniversary wishes, Everyone!
lilmiss, we didn't do much, just enjoyed chilling out together. It was lovely.

tiredfeet, the reviews I've read say the bag on the bottom is remarkably spacious. Slight design fault in that when the seat is facing one way, you can fit loads into the bag, but when the seat is turned round, it's slightly restrictive. But these reviews are from 2009 and I know Stokke have brought out the 2010 version now, so maybe they've addressed that. I don't know, am not too bothered.
The height is the main selling factor for me - out of exhaust-fume height (I know fumes rise but they should at least be a bit more dissipated), out of cigarette height and out of slobber-distance from dogs. And better for me to be able to chat with my baby, and for my child to see what's going on! I sound like a Stokke saleswoman, I know!!!

We must be the most talkative group ever... we have 4 thread on the front page of the antenatal groups page and that is before the new thread is added

And now we have five threads, I think we should slowly take over Mumsnet and start a revolution from within.

I mean, my diarys looking a bit empty at the moment and I need something to do whilst the Pumpkin does it's thing.

Oh and here's the new disco themed thread!!
