switty excellent - we can compare notes and stuff! And good luck for Monday, everything crossed for you (will have pate and champers on ice!)

poo make the most of what ever concentrating power you have now, cos I'll tell ya, it soon dissipates to nothingness when the old hormones go into "oh, a brain, you didn't need that did you?!" mode. First bit of advice my MW gave me? "Now then, you must make sure you carry a notepad around with you to write things down, because I'll tell you now, by the end of this your brain will be fried". She's right, I had a mini nervous break down yesterday because I had 10 emails in my inbox from work with things to do in them, and at that particular point I might as well have been trying to climb Everest as it all seemed so impossible .

all what is the consensus on preggo pillows then - who votes for which brand? I will need to get one soon enough as I keep finding myself waking up on my back, which is bad, because I snore like a bitch when that happens. OH and me also discussed possible sleeping arrangements when I'm big enough to take up the entire kingsize, he said he'd consider moving to guest room if he was required to, so I'll take that as a yes from him to agree to leave me the entire bed as and when I decide he's taking up too much room

Cosmosis · 16/04/2010 13:49

Oh cheggs I've welled up! two ickle pesh girls, how amazing can't wait to see pics!!

reginaMonologue · 16/04/2010 13:54

cheggers congrats btw, I wasn't being rude but it took me so long to post my previous note by the time I hit submit a whole decade (well about 10 minutes) had gone by, in which time you'd arrived and everyone else had said their "wOOTS". Really glad that everything is going well and the little mini-yous are doing well!

CurlyCasper · 16/04/2010 14:00

Pillows keep getting chucked out of my bed. I think the best option would be a whole bed to myself, with room to wedge traditional pillows around me, and to swaddle myself into position with the entire duvet. Not helpful, reg, I know, but it is what I think would work best.

I've been getting in such a tangled mess I am generally sleeping without additional pillow, on my right as usual, and waking up with a bit of a twisted feeling across my ribs. But I do get some sleep, so it's worth it.

So, roll on the new house where the spare room won't be full of all the furniture from the loft.

CurlyCasper · 16/04/2010 14:03

holding back eye leaks after seeing pics of the minicheggs on FB. Gorgeous!

skihorse · 16/04/2010 15:57

cheggers Congratulations - they are lovely! I'm so glad you're all healthy and doing well. Lovely names too!

I can't feckin' believe I've been outdone by both cheggers AND pollypoopants. I finally made a decision about a handbag (i.e., actually paid for it AND brought it home) - and I return to find OMGTWINZ and POLLYPREGGO!

OP posts:
Ponymum · 16/04/2010 16:00

ski Don't feel down. Successful handbag buyage is by far the third most exciting, significant news of the day.

skihorse · 16/04/2010 16:01

Oh - and I'm suffering some form of psychological denial about this pregnancy. Each and every time curly and iggy post new bump photos I say "oh, I'm definitely not that big" - something clicks somewhere deep in my brain, I accept that I am pregnant and whooomph - today I am waddling like a fucking hippopotamus. I will never make 40 weeks at this rate.

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 16/04/2010 16:24

I don't feel that big y'know

I have realised that even though am diffed I still can't shake the female thing of not wanting to be told you look fat/ big/ hippo like etc.

There is no hope for my sanity....

last night I saw two friends I haven't seen for months... one said 'OMG you're enourmous' and the other said 'no - she's tiny' - spend rest of eve feeling more affection for second friend and a slight coldness for first

skihorse · 16/04/2010 16:29

pony Thank you, I'm glad you understand the seriousness of such shopping. I have seen literally fahsands of handbags and today after picking them up and putting them back (about 50 times) I finally just did it and bought one. I did however pick up a couple of t-shirts which once more I abandoned... Eejit - I think I'm going back to online shopping, I can't be arsed with bright lights.

iggy Well I don't feel massive ALL the time - in fact this morning in the mirror I felt very wee - but this top is not too flattering, gives me a good baby-bump, but also a somewhat unflattering arse-bump. I can totally see where you're coming from wrt your friends though!

OP posts:
carrotsarenottheonlyvegetable · 16/04/2010 16:38

Wow I don't know where to start!!

Erm... cheg FABULOUS! Congrats on your two baby girls! Hope you're feeling perkier soon but take it easy (with a Cadbury's Caramel - or better still Dairy Milk as it's Fairtrade) and send some info our way when you can. Love 'em up - they'll be teenagers before you know it .

pooface Well that's a positive AFAIC my lovely. It looked just like me and I did the same thing of running around the house looking at it at different angles and different windows, inside, outside, shakeitallaboutside, shoveing it under YOB's nose, remembering it was covered in wee, screaming a bit and stuff and then spending the next few days PO more S for the fun of seeing the lines coming up stronger each time. Oops, I've already mentioned that and been told off - but I did, and you can, and enjoy it!!!! I'm absolutely totally chuffed for you.

witty LOL @ your tee hee

reggie I'm thinking maaayyyybeeeee normal pillows tucked around as required. Unless something better comes along.

ski my 20 week scan photo shows my baybee has a willy the size of a cucumber and a baybee the size of a carrot (obviously). The sonographer maintains it's his leg but it's obviously a willy. I have NO photos of myself with a penis. I am definately allll woman. Although I did have a pretty erotic and slightly laydee-leaning dream the other night (preggo dreams strike again) but that's another story.

I've been a naughty girl. I went shopping today. I've had my hair cut, and bought a new pair of trousers and two tops as I decided that my very eco clothing was just at the end of its life (very tatty cargos 2nd hand from ebay and a lovely organic, fair trade top from Bishopston with an even lovelier bleach mark on the front). So I tried on the trousers and the top looked awful so I have to buy a new top, then I found another I liked and as I was shopping alone I didn't know which to choose so I just got both. Then I obviously needed new shoes so I went and bought those. And I needed a new bra (no, I really did, I was wearing a 36C with bra extenders and have just been put into a (WTF) 40D (JEEZ I was a 34B before having LC). SO I then went into the shopping centre loos, changed into my new stuff, went off to meet YOB and expected him to not recognise me but then I walked past HIM, not seeing him (must need new glasses) and he noticed me but not my clothes!! . Then he said, "did you wear that top this morning?" and I pointed out I'd NEVER worn this top before, and he said it that I "looked ok". High praise . Good job I love him so much

iggypiggy · 16/04/2010 16:40

Arsebump? haz you a backwards baybee

oh no - that's something else....

Can I ask you dog walking (or just walking) PESHlets - how you getting on these days? I do the dog walk every morning and I am finding that I keep having to have a fucking sit down half way round am managing same length of walks - just slower...

carrotsarenottheonlyvegetable · 16/04/2010 16:46

skater I would vote green (obviously) if a) they had a candidate here and b) if they had any chance of actually doing anything like winning. Sadly the other 3 don't have any decent environmental stuff going on which is VVV upsetting. I'm just focusing on getting the current bunch of incompetant idiots out and as the blues seem to have swing a bit more to the middle ground, seems the best option.

Despite my protestations I'm not a dyed in the wool traditional "Conservative" - I'm very much in favour of being nice to people and stuff, but I also think there needs to be some pragmatism going on, and spending money that's not there, and bribing voters with money that's just borrowed seems to be the ultimate in absolute Crappy Governance.

iggypiggy · 16/04/2010 17:01

Fucksticks - completely failed to say a HUGE congratualations to CHEGGS that picture is gorgeous... so gorgeous...

skihorse · 16/04/2010 17:03

iggy's gone BUMSEX mad again I see!

rots hmmn... I don't know what to say except well done for treating yourself and a quick kick in the shins for YOB for failure to notice.

iggy Dog-walking - I'm rarely able to do both walks and I can't do too many steps or anything steep. In fact this morning I had to stop on a bench which tbf was the first time... but I can see this increasing.

I hope cheggers doesn't mind me saying this - but as a quick reminder to all who are struggling with conception (or were, or are just new) - cheggers is the original BESH IVF poster-girl. IIRC she won the 2 frozen baybees the first time at the baybee-fair - which I think should show to everyone that it can be done.

rots laydee-leaning? No wonder your fucking nipples are frothing!

CUNextTuesday · 16/04/2010 18:17

What picture? Where??

CurlyCasper · 16/04/2010 18:27

iggy I expect I do the least of all the dog owners.

I do four short walks every eight days if she is lucky! SFF does the rest - but he does have a lot of day time off and takes her on 8 mile runs etc. When I get home from work first (two days in eight, but even then it's sometimes down to him if I am home later) and when he is not here in the morning thanks to night shift, she gets a quick wander round the block at 6.30am (he's home by 9.30 for a proper outing). He doesn't mind, cause will be up to him a lot of the time when I am BFing.

I mind being such a wuss who can't walk far and whose bump aches when i go at any sort of decent speed. Not good when the dog has racing/chasing in her blood Thank goodness for the big garden at new place. Kind of dreading that part of maternity leave becasue she equates someone being at home to getting middle of the day walks...

Cosmosis · 16/04/2010 19:06

cunty see facecrack.

CUNextTuesday · 16/04/2010 19:44

You are right cosmo Awwwwww little sausages.....

rollerbaby · 16/04/2010 21:00

Had my 12 week scan peshes! It was best half hour ever. Little mini moo jumping up and down and generally looking much more baby like. Poor sonographer had to stop for me to finish crying cos my belly was wobbling so much. She had me waving my legs in the air and jumping around to get mini into the right position to get the nuchal measurement. Big relief as it was 1.1 giving me a risk of 1 in 1750 which apparently should go down alot more with the blood result. So feeling very happy and relieved and like this is actually happening.

Friend just came round and thought I was showing. I had to correct her that was actually my newly formed tummy from eating too many carbs.

polly you are preggers you menkul one! I had only the faintest of lines for about a week or 2. But a line is a line is a line...

Woo hoo!

OkieCokie · 16/04/2010 21:59

Moo that is really excellent news! I am so pleased for you and I am sure you must be on cloud nine! Hurray for nice scans!

rollerbaby · 16/04/2010 22:17

And CONGRATS Cheggers!!!

Hope you are loving being a mummy.

PollyPoo · 17/04/2010 06:56

Congratulations to Cheggs, that is so exciting! Can't wait to see some pics.

Well I have peed on more sticks - an FR and another ebay cheapie - the cheapie has an even fainter line than yesterday, but got a def +ive on the FR! Still bit apprehensive, as I'm only 12DPO but Woohooooo! Feel a bit shocked really... think it will take a while to sink in.

Ski I've deleted comment on FB as there are people who would figure out what that meant and I don't want them to know yet (SIL of the cunt-kicking for one!)

skihorse · 17/04/2010 07:40

polly No worries! I was up early (puking huzzah) and when I read that I just about squealed! I am so utterly delighted for you - and having read what you've written this month there are three conclusions to be drawn:

i) once again, a BESH meet wins a baybee
ii) just when you'd decided to "move on with your life" (c.f., me getting a one-bed flat) you win a baybee
iii) TG. Right, how to put this delicately? He has said some horrible things to you wrt fertility - and NOW it has been proven not once, but TWICE (!) that he has only enough of the good stuff to do it once a month! (A fact you might wish to remind him of if he ever says anything mean again. )

reginaMonologue · 17/04/2010 08:01

Thanks all for the advice on preggo pillow support, it appears I may well have to treat myself to some dodo feather down support extravagance shortly, because you know there is nothing more comfortable than an extinct birds plumage .

moo so glad that the scan went well, and that the nuchal test stats came back favourable - this'll be the next hurdle I have to get over once I've had my scan next week, so it's reassuring to see your good result!

poo I stared at the stick for about 15 minutes when the result showed and I'm still processing the fact that I'm carrying offsprung. But congratulations!!!! It'll hit home soon enough when all those lovely first trimester symptoms kick in.... though I must absolutely recommended that you make use of the "I'm pregnant" excuse, it comes in well handy when you can't be arsed to load the car at the supermarket etc! Even the one friend I have told who lives close by is using it as a reason to bag great seats in restaurants... "oh, we can't possibly sit there, I'm with a pregnant lady, didn't you know?!"

ski re your point iii) and the nakkid dancing, will you be posting a vid on u-lube?

Also, I'm sure someone asked a while back about weird dreams since getting pregnant, I can confirm that last night I found myself dreaming that I was somehow imprisoned in an old school, running around in which was a nasty alien from which I was trying to protect my baby, which was locked in a safe, and in reality was in fact a pizza.

That's the last time I have tapas before bed!
