Oh christ pols I don't know - looks like an ebay cheapie? But temp is v v v positive! You're only 11DPO though aren't you? And if you got the temp surge today doesn't that mean that the hormones are really kicking off from today?

OP posts:
PollyPoo · 16/04/2010 11:21

I know, tis shit. Tis an ebay cheapie. Unfortunately I threw the wee away before I saw the line, else I could have stuck a FR in there for good measure. Feel like such an utter tit!

Will feel even more of a tit over next day or two if the 'line' disappears.

PollyPoo · 16/04/2010 11:23

Knew I should have got the red biro out!

skihorse · 16/04/2010 11:23

You need curly, she know about early testing and temping. Go and rattle her cage or something. When are you off to Devon? Might be best not to take the tests with you - you know, save a little menkulling.

OP posts:
CurlyCasper · 16/04/2010 11:37

pol if that line, faint as it is, came up within the allocated time, you is well and truly diffed!

Mind was, dare I say it, fainter than that when I first got positive. I then stuck a Superdrug own in the wee (yes, I know you can't do this). But I also did a fresh piddle on a CB digi a couple of hours later and the declaration of diffedness was forthcoming. And the above testing was based very much on temps staying high.

I am declaring you diffed. That is how encouraging I think that picture is.

Hope I am right...

PollyPoo · 16/04/2010 11:50

Casp, fanku fanku fanku! I didn't look at the clock but the test instructions say to read at 5 mins and discard after 30. The photos were between the 5 mins and the 30. I can't say for sure whether I saw the line within the first 5 mins cos I went off and dressed Boo and wasn't expecting to see anything.

I think perhaps we should postpone the nekid dancing (much as I love the idea of all the PESHy bumps gyrating naked around the deli) until I am 15DPO and got a nice strong line? Tis still so early I am well scared innit.

PollyPoo · 16/04/2010 11:54

btw Curls if you is wrong, I will sue.

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 16/04/2010 12:04

Hey Pol
I can see the line. Fo Sho. It looks just like the first one I got, which unleashed a storm of madness which lasted for days. I am sure you will be much more sensible than I

On that memorable occasion, I did not abandon the stick like you, but fixed it with a gimlet eye. Saw it was negative when the pee had got fully across the stick, sighed, went away to wash hands etc. Came back, looked at stick again and saw a very similar line! tried to take a picture - too faint to see in picture. But could clearly see it in real life and lines got stronger and stronger after that.

So I second curls and have begun stripping off in anticipation. Though I also appreciate that it is hard to begin the celebrations on the basis of the very early super faint line...I was the same, but the beshes did the nekkid dance regardless.

carrots I also found your post liberating, though it made be giggle childishly. Tee hee. Just like that. Sorry the pillow is a drag though. I will watch this space for better recommendations.

reginaMonologue · 16/04/2010 12:19

poo I bit the bullet and forked out for one of those tests that say "pregnant" or "not pregnant" and give you an idea of how far along you are if you are indeed up the duff. Mine said 2-3 weeks when I tested, nice! I'd get one of those (think they're clear blue) well worth the money and saves on the confusion! Also, fwiw, just 2 or 3 days after my period was due and didn't show up I noticed my boobs were well sensitive, and that my belly was tender to touch (couldn't even face jumper rubbing on it).

pandora yep, off to beard mill, me and OH quite excited now about it and I've beeen UUUUUTUBE'in 9.5 week scans to see what I hope to see! The person I've been talking to seems really nice and has waylaid my fears of belly jelly incompatibility issues!

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 16/04/2010 12:28

reggie good luck with your scan! I'll be really interested to hear what you see, as I'll be having one on Monday at 10+1. Very exciting.

PollyPoo · 16/04/2010 12:30

Oh Reg those tests are evil - they say things like 'not on your life, loser' and 'don't make me laugh'. I can't stand them!

I will keep doing the cheapies and the remaining 3 FRs that I have til the line gets stronger (here's hoping anyway).

Off to work now - how on earth am I going to concentrate?

SkaterGrrrrl · 16/04/2010 12:35

Ok so is Polly updiffed or not?

Enjoyed the debate last night, still voting Green but it was good value watching the big boys slug it out.

CurlyCasper · 16/04/2010 12:37

iggy glad to hear about your MW appointment - was it all lush and friendly like on the telly box? I'm guessing when you only see MW once you have been seeing consultant at other times?

Good luck to all having scans.

pol please try to relax if poss...

Am pleased to report house tings moving along and we might even get to move in a couple of weeks of so. Though going to see family on May Bank Holiday, so will be after that. Doing proper tenancy interview this avo with credit checks etc.

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 16/04/2010 12:45

Hola preggos! have been silently lurking this week due to having some sort of man-flu - normally this sort of thing would not affect me, I miss drugs!

Anyway, am resurfacing to throw myself on the mercy of Cas and Pony as I've started to get an ache sort of in my groin area on one side, and it's steadily expanded further down my leg, up through my abdomen, slightly into my fleshy arsecheek and I could feel it a bit close to my ribs too. It feels a bit like a trapped nerve or that I've been on a long bike ride without being used to it. Is this anything like the beginning of SPD? I sort of think it may be more to do with continuing constipation (nice) but it's definitely worse over the last two days than it has been for the last week or so.

Cas good news on the house!

Poo crossing fingers for your line!

Oh and while I'm askin' of the questions, am starting preggo yoga on Monday - what does everyone wear to yoga and where can one purchase? I'll manage in what I have this week but am thinking it may be worth getting more kit for my rapidly expanding butt belly.

Oooh and....what shall I have for lunch?

cheggers · 16/04/2010 12:49

hi preggos,

just a quick fly by post to let you know i'm ok, through t'other side and sitting in hospital with my two lovely daughters

they were born monday morning. bit little at 4lb 9 and 5lb 14 but otherwise completely healthy.

have been a bit of a wreck after the op, so still at the hossy where they're keeping an eye on me and the little one.

should be out on monday though - so will be back again then with all the gory and lovely details.

not caught up with anyone else - sorry but got everything crossed for poll and the line!!!!

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 16/04/2010 12:52

CHEGGERS!!!!!! Hooray! Well done you, glad you are ok, we have all been longing for some news! Congratulations on your girls, hope you and the littlest one are feeling better soon xx

SkaterGrrrrl · 16/04/2010 12:52

Hello VAG

You should definitely have cheese and tomato on very fresh bread. And olives. Hmmmm......

CUNextTuesday · 16/04/2010 12:58

YEY CHEGGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG We've been so WORRIED!!

CUNextTuesday · 16/04/2010 12:59

Oh Congratulation by the way . Sorry you are feeling ropey but hopefully you can put it all behind you in the next few days and enjoy your lovely little girls xxx

Ponymum · 16/04/2010 13:04

Yay for cheggers and the minicheggs!! You did it! I can now stop worriting. Sorry you are poorly and hope you all feel stronger over the next few days. Kisses for your wee girls from Aunty Pony.

CurlyCasper · 16/04/2010 13:06

OMG cheggers - so good to hear from you! And massive congratulations on the two wee girls (glad we have more PESH girls!). Sorry to hear things have been a bit rough and look forward to hearing from you once you are home and settled.

VAG To this day I still have no idea if my pain is SPD or arthritis or whatever. But if you are worried in anyway tell your MW who can refer you to physio if necessary. I just phoned mine and said "should I be in this much pain" and she referred me straight away. Better to ask and it turns out to be nothing, than to do nothing and suffer for longer. Sorry you're are having to go through it either way

Eat cake for lunch, and get some preggo joggers if you can. Mine are cheapest of the cheap from Peacocks and worked a treat. Also did it in my Next maternity combats and leggings at times. Comfy t-shirt, and an extra layer of some sort for the beginning and end. no shoes required. They will probably sell you or ask you to buy a swiss ball. Have fun!

laurielou · 16/04/2010 13:07

OMG!! OMG!!! CHEGGS You played POP & had 2 little girls. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! Take good care of yourself & do update PESH's when you can.

Well done again............

Oh, I seem to have sand in my eye.........

OkieCokie · 16/04/2010 13:10

Whoop for popped Cheggers and ickle girls. Clearly hormones but I have a tear in my eye . sSorry to hear it was a bit rough but hoping you'll be right as rain and home soon.

Pol a line is a line. You iz diffed in my humble opinion! Another whoop for Pol.

Moomoo thinking of you and your scan today!

I am off to Westfield this arvo for a bit of retail therapy. Doubt I will come back with race horse and a tractor though.

Ponymum · 16/04/2010 13:26

pollyannapoo I am the expert you need. I used the exact same ebay cheapies. I had the faintest of lines and spent a day and half going to and fro in my head over whether or not I had actually won. On the second day I went and bought a couple of Clear Blues and the result was, well, clear as day. I was also temping and temp was high and staying up, but not as dramatic as yours.

Only difference is I held off testing at all until 14DPO, but if you have a shorter LP then maybe 11 is OK. I have to say I was really surprised how faint the ebay cheapie line was when the CB was so freakingly positive.

So my verdict is, you're diffed. Ha, ha - now you'll soon be one of us weepy lumbering emotional wrecks who say 'oof' when we sit down.

VAGemite That's not how my SPD started but pelvic problems take a variety of forms. Have a look at the pelvic partnerhsip site for lots of information to identify it. I have an aching frozen sacro-iliac joint in my left lower back, a big sharp twisted knife stuck into my pubis bone at the front right, and weird clenching shooting pains in the middle of my buttock where the leg joint is. Does yours get worse after activity / at the end of the day? As that is a typical symptom.

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 16/04/2010 13:34

Huge Congratulations to Cheggers!

That is fabulous news. Look after yourself now and I hope you will be able to put the whole birth behind you soon. Sorry it was so hard.

Two little girls! How wonderful!
