don't be nervous. is nice to see baybee again

OkieCokie · 15/04/2010 21:00

Actually Moo they may give you a guidleline ratio but the accurate one will come with blood results.

rollerbaby · 15/04/2010 21:08

Fanks girls. Those politicos are doing my nut in with their playground bickering and total inability to directly answer a question.

OkieCokie · 15/04/2010 21:15

They are not even that pleasing on the eye.

OkieCokie · 15/04/2010 21:18

cunty I saw this ball chat and thought of you.

SilverSky · 15/04/2010 21:28

Evening all,

I am being subjected to the shiz that is the debate. Husband is loving it and throwing out insults to various responses.

Main news of the day. We went to our NHS scan this week. It turns out based on the baby's growth which has gone up since last week from 57mm to 75mm!!!! that I am due on 18 October and not 21st. So I is 13+3 and have gained three days! Every day counts! They didnt do the nuchal as we've already had that privately and the sonographer has no questions or doubts about the FMC. So that is good.

Only pain is that the hospital couldn't do my bloods so I have to go to my Drs for that next week and that is more time out of work. So more aggro. At least with the FMC you get the blood results the same day.

Did I mention I didn't need to do a pee sample, so I looked like a right tit presenting my pee sample like a good student to find out its not necessary.

Oh and when we got to the scan unit this morning and we saw all the photo's of the staff, my bf's mum's close chum was staring back at me!!! Cue - panic! Luckily didnt see her.

Also we didnt have to pay for our scan pics and so we went and spent the cash on a McD's breakfast. Was lovely to see the baby again, looked very snug in there and apparently was lying head down with legs in air.

I've eaten so much today and to top it off we've had battered sausage and chips for tea. I am gonna be the size of a sperm whale at this rate.

Rode horse tonight in the school. I have no energy and gave up after 20mins. Horse doesnt mind as gets to go back to its box and eat. More.

Will try and catch up with your posts.

Oh and I miss Glee.

SilverSky · 15/04/2010 21:30

CORRECTION - this week, should read this MORNING.

I iz so blonde I iz platninum.

Ponymum · 15/04/2010 21:49

pandy That's extremely restrained.
How is the horse selling going?

CUNextTuesday · 15/04/2010 22:16

Thanks cokehead v interesting and useful. Hom has signed up to the idea, having suddenly 'realised' he may have a bad back...

carrotsarenottheonlyvegetable · 15/04/2010 22:52

ponycunt PMSL

So YOB and I watched nearly all the debate. Well, YOB watched it all. I watched an hour and 15 minutes then got very confused when one of them was reassuring a girl who had hit a motorcyclist and it took some explanation from YOB before I realised I'd fallen asleep and woken with him watching some crappy police catching random motorists programme.

I have an official announcement:

My boobs are working . Lovin' it!

CurlyCasper · 16/04/2010 06:49

yeay for the carrottits!

I love my big pink ball. It makes a great foot rest In all seriousness, I plan to spend much of labour on it (when I am not in the water). Shame recommended positions, as taught at my yoga class, are restricted when you have SPD.

Thank fuck it's Friday.

skihorse · 16/04/2010 08:09

pandora very restrained - I'd have called them (the nay-sayers) thick twats! OMG I once knew someone who had a miscarriage and she'd been in a car.

I didn't watch the debate, it would upset me far too much - and I am but a sensitive, wee flower. Plus I don't get ITV. Plus I'm not voting for someone on the basis of what they say on live TV. That goes for your shows too Mr. Cowell!

rots Obviously if mine aren't doing anything by Newcastle I will bundle you in the loos for a look-see as I am secretly fascinated!

pandy What's the story with your mother & sister? Are your family crackers? But yes, sounds like a total pita yesterday evening wrt daughter.

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 16/04/2010 09:10

Good luck with your scan today honey! I was brousing my big shiny and knowledge-filled pregnancy book last night and read about those very scans. Apparently the nuchal on its own is already 80% accurate - it goes up to 85% combined with bloods. So, really if the nuchal is fine, things are fine, is the conclusion that I drew . Hope it goes well. I'm sure it will be really exciting.

I am having bad indigestion. Is this normal? I feel like I have a big bloated football stomach and occasional attacks of cramps, which I think are wind. Ah, it's not great. It happened on the way to work and I arrived feeling rotten. Bit better now.

CurlyCasper · 16/04/2010 09:12

good luck today moomoo

skihorse · 16/04/2010 09:13

switty Ah yes, "the farts" - silverparpypants can give you the low-down on those. Football belly check, pumpypants check - all normal. I was sometimes more bloated in that first trimester than I was at 16 weeks! As reggie suggested the other day, you've just got to find a way to traverse a room whilst letting out enormous quantities of gas and not losing all your dignity.

OP posts:
CurlyCasper · 16/04/2010 09:15

Enjoy the farts while you can still get them out. Mind are mainly trapped inside and causing a lot of discomfort. 'tis a wonderful feeling when they finally release - but I do fear that one day I will take off

carrotsarenottheonlyvegetable · 16/04/2010 09:36

witty sadly yes, indigestion is common (not saying you're common or anyfink ). Get yerself around some Gaviscon if you can do so without retching. AIBU that they should invent some Gaviscon which doesn't taste like minty chalk? I mean, that may be what it is but c'mon, surely this isn't beyond the wit of man?

cas what positions on the ball are not allowed with SPD? I guess you can at least just sit on it? I feel that OFP must be even more important with SPD?

Good luck honey and enjoy it

LOL ski reminds me of the time a friend and I shut ourselves into the loo at Olympia and made vibrator noises with a breast pump - I told you, didn't I!

I, (preens), am going to have my hair cut today. I'm SUCH a laydee of leisure. Pamper, pamper, pamper. Waddayamean we all do that? Well I rarely do but then I'm a total scruff-bag which is why there's still my 12 week pic on FB, not of actually me. Couldn't even upgrade to 20 weeks coz of dodgy penis photo.

Oh, reminds me of dream genii. It gave me backache because I kept rolling onto the sides of it in the night and the soft pillow bit ended up lifting my back in my sleep. Also didn't, as promised, stop me rolling onto my back (not that this bothers me but it PROMISED ). I didn't like its penis at all. Not big enough . But seriously, I mean, not big enough, as it didn't support me legs enough. So I've kicked it out of bed and gone back to my normal pillow and will give it a go for BF support. If that doesn't work I'll just be miffed at spending £40 on a piece of crappy penis-shaped crap.

I don't think I've ever written the word "penis" so many times in one go. Very liberating.

CurlyCasper · 16/04/2010 09:45

carroticus Yoga lady says it's best to change position every 20 mins. and this can include going from simply leaning your upper body on ball while kneeling with knees together, to lifting one leg up to the side of the ball in more of a crouch position (hard to describe - think football team photo - one knee on the ground and other up with foot on the ground) but this would stretch the pelvis so not good with SPD.

So basically I get to loll around on it, which I quite like except when my boobs get squished [ouch]. Also have to be careful about how far apart legs are while sitting/bouncing on the ball etc.

yes, yoga guru focussed a lot on OFP, hence the strict rules about lying on left etc. I was doing so well with me wee girl basically leeched on to my left hand side, but now I think she's lying right across (transverse). But at least that means she might consider trying to stick her head downward at some point! She's still pounding away at the lower bump. Mind you, I'm not sure I want any kicks in the ribs either...

skihorse · 16/04/2010 10:23

rots Your penis is showing in your usual photos?

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 16/04/2010 10:38

rotface Oddly after my love of the dream genii pillow (was amazing at 19 weeks - when I got it) - I haz started to dislike it the last two nights and I too kicked it out of bed last night I fink it no longer fits me....or the bump... So i have changed to normall pillows and that was nicer...

honey where were you in mama's and paps yesterday? I was in the regent st one yesterday afternoon y'see... and good lucks for scan!

casps I quite likes my ball too... is nicer than sofa sometimes...

I had a midwife appt yesterday - my firstest one! Also - possibly my only one... apart from the lactation consultation i has to have with her in early july or summink... So I heard the heart beat which was v. cool and apparently am still spot on for my dates. all v. pleasing.

I have no other news - so I will go do some work...

PollyPoo · 16/04/2010 10:57

Morning PESHies. I know I am only CD28/11DPO but FF told me to so I have done gone and POAS and now I am menkul. Basically I am not sure if there is a line or not. Or if there is, what it is. It could just be the chemical strip showing through iykwim. It really is vey vey faint.

What happened was (sounds funnier in brizzle accent) I POAS, went off to dress Boo, didn't look at clock, came back and saw a faint line under bathroom light. Took it to window, in direct line it is almost invisible, in shady window it is more noticable. Obviously, being menkul I took photos, but you can barely see it - tis clearer in RL, but even then not v clear.

Clear as mud? Glad I sorted that them. Now packing for v boozy weekend in Devon with lovely old mate. Ooops.

skihorse · 16/04/2010 11:00

Polly I've just seen your post about this and I am getting jittery on your behalf as I so want you to come over to the dark side. Can you post a pic? How are your temps looking?

OP posts:
PollyPoo · 16/04/2010 11:03

I am too ashamed to post a pic Ski as there will prolly be much laughter! Tis sooo pathetic, honest. You'll all be nudging each and raising eyebrows and sniggering behind hands at my menkulness!

Temp shot up again today, highest of the month. Fingers and everyfink else crossed.

skihorse · 16/04/2010 11:07

Blimey - isn't that "it" wrt temps? Sorry, I never temped so it's very Greek to me - but isn't a big rise a very strong signal? Have you tried phoning a psychic? We'd never laugh at your menkulness. G'wan - post it! Embelish with marker pen if necessary of course.

OP posts:
PollyPoo · 16/04/2010 11:14
