Bigmuther sorry

Wow it's hard to keep up with this thread but I really want to make an effort. I'm still on my Dec 08 thread from ds and although it started out with loads of us there is still a very big group of us who meet up regularly. Have met some very lovely friends through MN so hope to do the same here as it's so good to meet others and go through things with kids the same age

Right I am going to have a read back and try and catch up as much as I can. I think i've fallen off the list somehow too! Was I removed for non attendance

cazzybabs · 21/02/2010 21:01

Bigmother - I am so sorry. My previous mc was at 15 weeks so I can half guess what you are going though - just when you start to think everything will is OK.

Make sure you take enough time off work to grieve.

Much love, tears and hugs

CazEM · 21/02/2010 21:21

Bigmuther - so sorry to hear of your loss. Sending you much love....

hildainstant · 21/02/2010 22:35

Bigmuther - I'm so sorry. Keep strong and keep your head up.....I'm thinking of you

Well, I came on here to say thank you to everyone for your kind words the other day when I felt so poorly. Neenz, I took your advice and bought a Doppler (ordered it Friday aft and it arrived Sat morning!!) and managed to find a heartbeat last night!!! It made me feel loads better to know it's OK, and hubby loved it too. Think I might have another go tonight when I get to bed

Anyway, you all helped me massively. I'm now feeling loads better and ready to go back to work tomorrow and get some normality back....thanks for the kind words girls

Aussieng · 21/02/2010 22:40

BigMuther I so sorry. I hope they take good care of you at the hospital tomorrow. Praying for a miracle for you.

Elusive we're just off to Lanzarote. It was pretty much a non-decision really as I wanted short haul but with some guaranteed decent weather as I'm sick of being bundled up against the cold and that meant some of the more historic destinations (Greece-Turkey-North Africa etc) were too risky from a weather perspective. Usually at this time of year we would be skiing (not prepared to travel just for more snow at present) or (in a really good year) I would be heading somewhere exotic with friends for scuba diving (big no-no when pregnant). That didn't leave too many options especially since DH is a very active sort of holiday maker. But I'm really looking forward to it - there is enough to see to keep DH happy and I'm happy to pootle around in a hire car absorbing some cafe culture.

CazEM · 22/02/2010 07:08

Will be thinking of BigMuther today.

Have had a terrible nights sleep, I'm absolutely shattered, not a great start to a week of work hey!

DH and I are going to have to start sleeping in seperate beds I think, his snoring is beyond! I went to bed at 10, woke up at 2 needing a wee come back to bed and I'm properly awake within 2 mins cuz of the unrelenting snoring! So I went into the spare room, but after waking up properly I haven't really settled properly again all night.

I'm gunna be a grump all day I expect now. Bring on some snow and an early closure I say...!

babyducky · 22/02/2010 07:48

morning,

So sorry to hear that bigmuther, hope things go ok today,x

cazEM- My DH's snoring is terrible aswell, Ive been waking up a few times a night because of it.

OOOh aussie Im jealous of your holiday aswell, have a good time!

Vix that cakes looks lovely!!!

Can I ask your opinions on names please?

Theo or Leo?
I like Theo, DH likes Leo! What do you all think?

xxx

CherryPie3 · 22/02/2010 08:12

Morning

Bigmuther Thinking of you today xx

Just starting work, wish I was at home - the roads were terribly icy and trying to drive in a straight line was impossible!! CazEm no chance of an early closure here My managers are ruthless!!!

babyducky I like Theo

Looking forward to baking again tonight, gingerbread went down a treat! Gonna trawl through MN recipes and see if theres anything else to do. I got the gingerbread one off there and was dead easy to do!!

Love to all (especiall;y you BigMuther)

Sorry but I had a really manky cat who was called Leo, he had mange when we got him and he absolutely stank! He had a lovely character though So it would definitely not be Leo from me!
Morning all, I'm feeling good this morning. Haven't felt the baby for ages though but then it should be sporadic right? I'm not panicking it's just sometimes I'd like a little more 'pregnancy' feeling. Mind you, in a couple of months I'll be whingeing about how heavy I feel, no pleasing some people!
Praying you get well looked after bigmuther

bouncingblueberries · 22/02/2010 08:36

Thinking of ou today bigmuther sending lots of hugs and love.

Taking a bit of a duvet day today. ds was ill all day yesterday with a high temperature then crawled into our bed at midnight to be spectacularly sick . Poor little love said to me "seriously mummy, I don't want any more sick to come out my mouth". That did make me smile - seriously! Anyway, I've decided to keep him at home today. His temperature is much better but I think he needs a day of cuddles. I'd just spend all day waiting for nursery to phone and tell me he was sick again otherwise. And it means I get a day snuggled up on the sofa with my little boy .

Only blot is that we've still no heating, but thankfully we only have rain - not snow!

Aussie

mrsZaC · 22/02/2010 09:01

god bigmuther I'm so sorry, what a rollercoaster it's been for you, I hope hope hope there is a miracle and everything is ok. Look after yourself darling.

Morning ladies, lovely all this cake talk, my mum made an amazing courgette cake at the weekend, sounds rank doesn't it, but it was AMAZING! I had two helpings with ice cream .

Had sore stomach muscles on Saturday night and woke up and literally my stomach was twice the size Not too many problems yet with getting comfortable but i'm still a few weeks behind you guys. Bad sleeps are still rife though, it's exhuasting, still dreaming a lot which I think has a lot to do with it.

Well done girlsyearapart for hitting the gym and body balance, I hope I get some energy back soon so I can hit the gym again. Did plenty of walks over the weekend so feeling a little better on that front.

aussie super jealous about your holiday, my DH is much like blueberries and finds it hard to justify the expense of a holiday abroad.. even though I would be more than happy with a cheappie! I can't afford to pay so i rely on him for 90% of it says we can't afford it, think he prefers to spend his money on his flashy car!

ducky I like theo

neenz · 22/02/2010 09:28

bigmuther I am so sorry, life is so cruel sometimes. Do they know why? Was it linked to all the bleeding. Take care and make sure you get looked after.

My DS is called Theo . I love Hannah for a girl.

bouncingblueberries · 22/02/2010 09:54

Neenz Hannah is lovely.

mrsZaC me too! Although with a potential new boiler to buy, I'm glad dh convinced me not to book something on a whim last week god I hate it when he's right

Aussieng · 22/02/2010 10:05

I guess I'm lucky in that DH loves to travel and particularly with him being Australian he is willing to go anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere that he has not been before since it will get so much more expensive to visit this side of the world once we are living in Aus.

I vote for Theo too. The name Hannah was forever ruined for me with my exH had an affair with a Hannah although she got what she deserved (ie him!). Funny how life's experiences draw you to or put you off names isn't it>

jealous of your duvet day "blueberries" - also feeling a bit shattered today (also in part thanks to DH snoring then telling me that I was restless last night!!!!) but have a team briefing on a project which I cannot miss. Meh! So any funnies or interesting news today to keep me awake and enthused would be appreciated!!!

Have good Mondays everyone (and still thinking of you BigMuther).

mrsZaC · 22/02/2010 10:06

yeah... DH is far too sensible with his money for his own good, and I hate it when he's right too. However there is always something and sometimes you just have to put your sanity first, holidays are essential for your health especially since we get no sun here in Scotland! hehe well that's my excuse anyways.. can't complain, least we're getting away to Yorkshire in March, better than nothing

starshaker · 22/02/2010 10:09

Leo is on my boy list.
Not much been happening here but i am starting to get rather large. Keep forgetting im only 13 weeks, but then there is 2 little bubs in there so i supose this is normal. Might take a bump pic later and you can let me know what its like compared to yours lol

Rubena · 22/02/2010 10:18

Ducky I like Leo

Aussie Think I asked you before but where is he from and where will you move back to? I'm from Qld born in Melb. I am really low at the moment due to the weather I'm sure. Can't wait for Summer as it's really depressing here at the moment. I am feeling the same about and decided I need to do as many trips to Europe and everywhere over this side of the world as possible since one day hopefully we'll move to Aust. Sorry if I'm sounding really down on England but it's just the weather mixed with the really crap pg hormones at the moment I really do love things about England too. Pubs for example
I slipped on the stairs last night and although no damage I have a very sore graze on my back.

Thinking of you Bigmuther x

bigmuther65 · 22/02/2010 10:29

Thanks ladies your messages of support mean a lot to me really have no answers at the moment have had bleeding before, but this time it carried on for a few day really quite heavy with a few small blood clots also started to experience some quite bad cramps.Managed to get in for scan yesterday after a visit to A+E knew straight away as she called for a consultant.Going to the hospital soon not sure if any ting will be done today taking a close friend as well with me as she her self has experienced miscarriage, and she will be able to ask the questions that i,m unable to.
I will update you when i have news, and wish you ladies every luck with your beautiful new babies, and would someone please remove me from the list xx

BigMuther . It was awful seeing people leave the group weeks ago but this is really sad. Take care of yourself.

Rubena he's from Adelaide although his parents now live near Bendigo. We'll almost certainly move to Adelaide especially since he still has most of his family there including his brother who just recently moved back there from QLD. He is occassionally tempted by Perth though. We need to spend some time in Perth next time we go over there since he has two lots of stuff in storage there and I want to get them consolidated if not shipped over to his parents in Victoria ($$$$$)

I wouldn't worry about being down on England. I'm very pro-British, certainly don't take much of his "Australia is better at everything except perhaps historical buildings" attitude but this winter coupled with the last 2 "summers" is enough to get anyone down! Not to mention the prospect of his ILR-visa application later this year and lovely £1,000 application fee (ouch whilst on maternity leave). Do you have definite plans to go back>

Sorry about your fall - hope you're not too shaken up. I've had a couple of stumbles etc lately which I assume is a pg balance thing. Quite unnerving.

Aussie
We don't have definite plans as such however do plan to end up there at some point. With his career it would be a massive step back over there at the moment and that coupled with our debt here and the cost of living rising in Aust it wouldn't work just now. We may have the opportunity to go back for 12 months in 2012 but I'm not sure how I feel about having to leave again after that if it turned out that we had to, however just avoiding 1 winter here is sounding appealing!
I feel a bit bad as my issue's pale in comparison after reading Bigmuthers posts
The slip on the stairs wasn't too bad - ds was climbing the stairs again and went to get him from half way up and slipped on the way down. he was fine and I was really too but grazed my back on the bottom step that's all. Hardly a mark there but really hurts

liahgen66 · 22/02/2010 12:01

just popped on as i heard the news over on the ttc after mc thread.

I am soo so sorry bigmuther mother nature is a complete bitch sometimes. If anyone sees this or can speak to BM then I would strongly suggest she get as many memories of her lo as she can, give it a name, perhaps even hold him or her if it's possible. Take photographs if that's possible. 15+ weeks is a little person and i'm sure the hospital will deal with BM and her baby with the dignity they deserve.

What a horrible piece of news. Take care of yourself and your partner.

Big U~NMN hugs (((())))

And thank you for your concern for me ladies. You're a lovely lot. x
