Grrr so I wrote a long message and then lost it. Boo!!

Dibby your MD story made me laugh... ALOT. I'll have to be remembering that one! Mmmmm scones. I'm pretty sure I could eat my own body weight in scones with jam and clotted cream.... but we've currently got a lovely light fruit cake that my MIL gave us and I'm munching my way through. My husband is away tonight, so I'm thinking cake for dinner?!

CherryPie high five, just because I don't really have anything more sensible to say! Oh but yes I've started reading the thread on thread titles. I don't quite get why such a big thing is being made of it?! Will see what happens as I get nearer the end!! And all the complaints about TMI content.... well you don't HAVE to read it!

GYA is there any chance she might grow out of the allergies? There's also lots of really interesing research at the moment on de-sensitising allergies that I'm sure you're aware of....

Well i had my early pregnancy class today. I was 10 mins late and walked in. I appologised for being late and sat down. The woman taking the class asked me if i was sure i was in the right place. I said is this the ante natal class. She said it was the early pregnancy class for those who are less than 20 weeks hehe.
I told her i was only 16 weeks and everybody looked abit shocked. Her next comment was the funniest though. She said are you sure there is only 1 in there. My reply was em no but thats cos i know there are 2.
Was a really good class learnt some useful exercises and stuff to make you more comfy.
I also found out my 20 week scan is on the 15th of april so 4 weeks tomorrow before i find out if im team blue or pink or even both lol.

Hope everybody is haveing a good day today x

pamplem0usse · 16/03/2010 18:40

starshaker!! funny funny.... I didn't even know there was such a thing as early pregnancy classes..... I need all the help I an get!
xx

Hola - I'm back in a better mood today...we finally got the AFP results back after over 3 weeks and I'm low risk...it puts everything else into perspective. Still no word about the job though...guess its a no.

Wow, cherryPie & Blueberries, those 'prepared to be flamed' posters have really got their knickers in a twist haven't they?

Loving all your pink/blue announcements - getting excited by the new list. Hopefully I'll be able to update too after I get my scan next week.

Laters, off to do a web search for cheap Mountain Buggies.

girlsyearapart · 16/03/2010 18:41

oooh what have I missed? gossip??

They think she'll grow out of the egg by age 3 and can start introducing dairy now as her tests have gone down on that.

The peanut one is harder to guess really.

missus- now I'm intrigued..

pamplem0usse · 16/03/2010 18:49

GYA well at least that's something. I'm sure it doesn't make it feel alot better now, but at least there's a positive future to look forward too!

Missus84 · 16/03/2010 19:01

Haven't had any positive reactions from people in real life - but love the name Geronimo with Ronnie as a nickname!

Chulita · 16/03/2010 19:02

Yep, cherry, £50 odd quid but worth every penny get a load of these beauties. So worth it, they are lovely to sleep in!
You lot don't chat all day, I turn my back for a moment to cook tea and put DD to bed and look at you all!

Chulita · 16/03/2010 19:04

dibby, I use these things as sleep bras, not badly priced and comfy. I also gave birth in the black one, multipurpose...

Chulita · 16/03/2010 19:08

GYA, I hope she does grow out of it, one of my nightmares that is cos DH and I eat pretty much everything...(except shellfish).
Glad you're happier weehector!
Sorry missus, Geronimo? Reminds me of that Mel Gibson film Conspiracy Theory...

pamplem0usse · 16/03/2010 19:14

Right someone hit me over the head, i've just been sick... again!

I'm not sure about Geronimo Missus.... mainly because he might get teased, but then we've got some fairly wacky names that we're debating.... hmmm!

Chulita · 16/03/2010 19:22
Chulita · 16/03/2010 19:58

Hello?

Why do you all run orf when I come out to play? I'm going to be off to bed soon and then I'll have to read shedloads of posts that you all wrote once I'd gone home

Missus84 · 16/03/2010 20:06

Haven't seen the Mel Gibson film Chulita! I know it's a bit out there... but it's also a classic name with an interesting history I also think if a kid is going to be teased then children will find something to tease them about.

ElusiveMoose · 16/03/2010 20:12

I got my sleep bras from Mothercare. They're not massively supportive, but enough to make things comfortable. The thing I like is that they've got no hooks at the back (they just pull over your head), so they're really comfy. (They do have a drop cup, though, so you can use them for bf'ing after the baby arrives.)

weehector · 16/03/2010 20:23

chulita I'd go off to bed early too if I was wearing those gorgeous Hotmilk jammies. I'm making do with my flannel Jack Wills cosy jammies (low slung, fit great under the bump)and an old t-shirt until I have to.

Missus If its not too personal (and choosing names invariably is..) can I say that my reaction to Geronimo as a name would depend on the context of your lifestyle -would be amazing in the stylee of a fabulous lady with a house featured in Living etc & a creative career....perhaps not so hot in the suburbs.

Chulita · 16/03/2010 20:49

missus, Mel was a taxi driver suffering from ocd and he would mutter 'geromino, geromino' at various points throughout the film. Good film though if you like conspiracy theories!

Missus84 · 16/03/2010 21:08

Vibrant inner city here weehector! Lots of his classmates will have Somali/Polish/Pakistani names so Geronimo wouldn't be too outlandish in a class of Olivers and Jacks.

cazzybabs · 16/03/2010 21:14

Ohhh this sooo wierd...I couldn't find this thread when I looked for it..I had to go onto the old thread and click on the link...very strange...

I am feeling very sorry for myself today..I have a bad stomach with cramps for about 3 days now...I think it is all fine just painful and needing the looalot and now I have a sore throat and a runny nose...

plus dh let dd3 eat breakfast in our bed this morning and I think I could make a sandwich there are so many crumbs..

moan moan moan

right now I have (hopefully) booked marked this page I can read the rest of the posts

cazzybabs · 16/03/2010 21:24

Missus84 Geronimo is unusual and you are unlikely to fimd another..

not that I am likely to have a boy but I have always loved Noah (DH thinks it is far to middle class Boden)

GYA at least they are the common allergies...we have several in the year group I teach with similar ones.

cazzybabs · 16/03/2010 21:30

WOW this is so strange...it still doesn't show up on my I have posted on these threads bit when others do...

Its just becauae you don't love my and I found out one of friends has unfacebooked friended me - I am going to go off in a pregnant sulk and cry in a corner

Emster30 · 16/03/2010 21:54

starshaker that must have been really funny being able to reply that! I bet she was embarrassed!

cazzybabs aw don't feel like that... I'm sure it's not personal!

I got myself into a proper hormonal mess yesterday, sobbing and sobbing. Hope this doesn't happen too often!

If anyone's updating the stats, it's my first baby, all was well at the 20-week scan and I'm on team yellow.

Bubbabear · 16/03/2010 22:50

Feeling happy cause midwife appointment went well today. Bubs decided not to play hide & seek so she found the heartbeat straight away )
Although she did comment that i look more like 20 weeks than 17+5! Kinda impossible my dates r wrong tho, DP was in another country for 2 weeks before the day im sure i got pregnant! My bump does seem to have really 'popped' in the last week or two (so EVERYONE keeps telling me!).
Also, i'll be 22 weeks at my '20' week scan. Feel a bit cheated its not sooner, i cant wait to find out which team we're on!
Update on my stats too; 1st baby, im 29 (will be 30 when baby is born which i have been told classes me as a 'mature' mum lol) and we are on team...pending!
Sweet dreams all x

Missus in that case, go for your life, brilliant name! I'm just jealous because I've swapped advertising in Shoreditch for sleepy seaside Scotland & a husband with traditional tastes when it comes to names..
