PJ day is feeling very lazy... think I may have to do lots of housework while the DC's have naps after lunch!!

Rugbylovingmum · 18/02/2010 12:36

Hi all, just a quick post as DP working from home today. We had a good night with DD last night. Only 15 min of crying before she went to sleep at 8.15 then she woke at 2.20 for a feed and again at 5.30. I think the 5.30 waking is habit rather than hunger but for now I'm just giving her a quick 5min feed and putting her back in the cot. Then she slept till just after 7. Fingers crossed it cntinues as I feel great after 2 nights sleep . Thanks Diege!

Diege · 18/02/2010 15:44

Afternoon! Older dds at friends, though back any minute. Have managed to do a few more scripts though (only 73 left now )
Nooo not housework CANT!!!! Make the most of any 'down time' I say. How's your e-baying going btw?
RUGBY, great that you feel better. Bet you're glad you gave cc a go now . Can I just be ultra picky and ask if dd is hungry with the 2am feed? Just asking because I remember being quite happy with the same sort of thing with dd1, but then it gradually stretching to 2, and then we were back where we started. Of course, if hungry feed, but forewarmed is forearmed and all that .
Right, really must go. Back this eve.

maxxymoosmummy · 18/02/2010 17:13

heya everyone, had a lazy day here today, DS went out for the day with my parents. first time since hes been born theyve had him for the day.
yay for the sleeping babies fingers crossed it lasts.
quiet night with the soaps tonight too. feel really lazy as not had to do much today, apart from get DS ready, and make parents a bru.

Rugbylovingmum · 18/02/2010 17:58

Hi Diege - I did wonder about that but she does seem to be hungry at 2/3am and guzzles down a good feed. I think the 5.30am one is just habit though and I am going to try to get rid of that one over the weekend then I will make sure I don't slip back into giving 2 feeds. Good going on the scripts!

MMM - hooray for lazy day.

tinksbabyis1 · 18/02/2010 18:04

hi ladies

hope dentist was ok kay

diege - oh er missus bet hair looks good

what do u ladis get for your dds and ds for summer shoes?

i like doodle sandals have never got on will buckle doodles used to leave marks on the top of dd1s feet. looking @ a red buckle pair and another casual shoe with straps over the top would rather get these then trainers as feet get to sweaty in summer in them.
doodles do look sweet and great price

got the girls measured today
dd1 still a 6.5f and bracken has gone from a 2f to a 2.5f so will get them measured in 7 weeks then hopefully bracken will be a 3f just in time for her first walking shoes

Rugbylovingmum · 18/02/2010 20:28

Just put DD to bed without her dummy and have had NO CRYING! I put her in the cot, turned off the lights and she just went straight to sleep without any fuss. I am . I don't know what to do with myself now - for the first time in weeks I'm not ready for bed as soon as she is asleep. What do I do now?

Sorry Tink, no idea about sandals but as the wagons shopping queen I'm sure you will find something soon.

Been a busy 48hrs in SesWorld!
Hope ur all ok

Yesterday, had a day at work and O in nursery. All went ok I suppose... Main problem was that the location of my meeting had changed and noone told me! I had to get back in the car and drive another 20miles I was over half an hour late but it didn't really matter and it wasn't my fault!
I enjoyed the day though - only a few pangs of "what am I doing, leaving O for a whole day at nursery?!"
He had a fine time by all accounts and I've finally met the girl who will be his key worker and she seems lovely.

Then after all that, today O and I did a trip up to London to meet up with some MNers from the May09 thread. There was 8 mums, 8 babies, 5 other DC and 1 au pair!! It was O's first train ride and his first trip to London. I took him in the backpack which he loved and he borrowed a buggy to have a nap at lunchtime!

Enough about me....how are you all?!

essenceofSES · 19/02/2010 21:36

Tink - Tesco must be v difficult with both DDs!!

Cant - happy birthday to R for tomorrow

Rugby - fantastic improvement for you on the sleep front! Well done you and C!!

Did anyone else watch EE this evening? I thought it was done v well but won't say anymore in case anyone hasn't seen it...

GruffaloSoldier · 19/02/2010 21:46

Hello!

just popping on as we are going to a friends tomorrow on the south coast for the weekend so need to pack!

I went to London to see my sisters yesterday and was really nice. was my first night away from GC and was really weird!

Went to get his feet measured today and he is a 4G! Think thats fairly big for 10 month old. So we got him his first shoes and he seems to really like them!keeps walking around in them and while in the shop having his feet measured he tried to pull the mans hair, then pulled his glasses off and then legged it into the store room (testing out his new shoes of course!)

Right I really need to pack for weekend but might be able to get on again before we go - sorry for me post! Hope everyone has great weekends

tinksbabyis1 · 20/02/2010 08:46

gruff have a good time

ses - sounds good with nursery and meet up

we r off to the zoo

have good sats ladies

wow gruff that is big

bracken is 1 year and a 2.5f
atlanta is 4.5 years and a 6.5f

Diege · 20/02/2010 09:07

Morning! Busy day here too yesterday, with dds' friends over morning and afternoon.
SES, you sound very accomplished! Sounds like you had great trips, and must have been good to compare notes with the other May babies.
GRUFF, enjoy your weekend!. Agree with TINKS, GC is big for 10 months! J is a 2.5G and slightly bigger than average for 8 mths, so they said. Did you get a good sleep on your night away?
TINKS, enjoy the zoo!
We're having wardrobes delivered this morning, though how they'll get them up the stairs is another question. Have dh's strange friend coming round at 12 and then it's back to the marking for me!
Yes I did catch EE last night (not a fan as last one I saw was the murder one!). Agree with SES, v.well done and I think the murderer was the 'right' one in relation to loose ends etc if that makes sense!
Back later!

Kayzr · 20/02/2010 10:06

Morning,

Happy Birthday Ruby!!!!!

Gruff, GC is sooo cute!!! He looks taller than D and D is quite a bit older.

Ses, Sounds like you had a lovely time with the other May 08 babies. Its so nice isn't it meeting the people you have spent your pregnancy with.

Have fun at the zoo Tink.

Enjoy your marking Diege!

We have decided that we are going to the races in August for our wedding anniversary. I need to buy a hat now!!

essenceofSES · 20/02/2010 14:14

Hello!

Gruff - hope you have a great wkend. That video of GC on FB is wonderful

Kay - trip to the races sounds good. I hate hats though! I'm hoping to avoid wearing one for DB's wedding in Sept!

Tink - enjoy the zoo. Which one is it?

Diege - me accomplished??! I fear not, but I can try! Everything is starting to fall into place though with work, nursery, etc.

Cant - hope you, MMM and family have a great time celebrating DD2's birthday!

Poor O was badly sick a few times about half an hour ago. I think it's just mucous in his stomach from the dregs of his cold. He's been doing lots of coughing. I'm hoping he's cleared it all now. He's just falling asleep on me and so I'll transfer him to his cot whilst I put a load of washing on. He managed to get sick on him, me and his second outfit!
(Sorry, hope you've all finished lunch!)

maxxymoosmummy · 20/02/2010 17:54

cantmummyhaveabreak · 21/02/2010 09:49

Thanks for all the bday wishes for DD2, have uploaded pics from yesterday to FB.

Snow here too (if you hadn't guessed with MMM having it), only about an inch, but enough for it to be white all over!! I'm bloody sick of snow!!

Tink- i'm a sucker for doodles!! Love them, DD1 had 2 pairs last year, both in the same size, one velcro and one buckle fastening... thats all she wore all summer, so gonna get her some more for this summer. Will also get DS a pair of the boys doodles/canvas trainer things as he also has some last year and they were fab.

As for DD2, doubt she'll need any walking shoes this summer really... and her feet are still sooooo tiny- not even a size 1 yet!!

tinksbabyis1 · 21/02/2010 10:04

have seen pics r great cant bless her

she has got small feet

bracken is a 3.5f will need shoes in about 4-6 weeks i reckon she can do 7 steps on her own now is off

i found that doodles left marks on the top of dd1s feet before have u found this?

cantmummyhaveabreak · 21/02/2010 10:10

only when she wore them with thicker socks... but i loosened them off a bit after i saw them and they were fine.

maxxymoosmummy · 21/02/2010 10:11

i have been thinking about summer shoes for DS and never thought of doodles. may take a look now, and see what i can find for him. hes already in shoes now, as hes walking properly. but he only has trainers, and boots, so not very good for warm / hot weather.
