Blimey, someone coming to see the house we're in tomorrow, poor woman, her house burnt down so she's been in a hotel for two weeks, if she goes for this house she'll be waiting at least another 6 weeks (we're over laping the tenancies by a week so we've got room to breathe!) but there is nothing else about so she may not have much choice.

Of course means I've now got to run around and get it all tidy, it's not too bad really but not up to viewing standard! I do wonder what the landlords pay letting agents for though, last time we moved out of a rental we did all the showing them around.

Dinner sound's good Diege, we were on course for steak and chips (yum!), but it's going to depend how DH feels when he get's home.

tinkstoddleriswalking · 25/03/2010 14:42

afternoon

loads of heavy rain here and really dark

nat you sounds very organised

cant - ye for weight
good luck with ds!!

hi to everyone else

ye for paint diege - exciting

off to next soon to pick up brackens clothes order for summer

Diege · 25/03/2010 16:00

ooh NAT better get the hoover out . I remember the panic viewings put us into, sure house doesn't need much doing, you seem on top of things!
Schools break up tomorrow, so have to design a space outfit (don't ask) and get 2 eggs decorated for then...have bought superglue after fiasco of nothing stiking to eggs last year. Let's just hope I don't end up in A&E with an egg stuck to a child's eyelid..

Diege · 25/03/2010 16:02

Hi TINKS! Enjoy your Next shop - just received the Directory here - must remember to cancel as if I order at all it's from on-line images.
Have to do the dreaded decorative eggs now - hate crafts!

LaTourEiffel · 25/03/2010 16:03

Hi all, I'm so far behind its ridiculous! I try to catch up, but trying to read this thread on your mobile in the bath takes ages I've discovered!

Have been very busy, have been helping a friend out with some of her uni assignments, just doing some spelling and grammar checking for her. She's doing criminology so its all very interesting too.

Have also been looking at helping a relative sell some bits that she makes, she really is very, very good at both designing and making them. Now I just need to find people to buy it! I'll perhaps post some info on the FB Wagon in case anyone's interested - its all very beautiful!

DS2 had his third set of injections today, poor little sod - three injections in one go seems so harsh! And the nurse made him bleed, I'm sure she's a bit more brutal than is necessary.

I've also been having loads of dental work done - I have it done by a special dentist at a hospital as I seem to have turned into an absolute nervous wreck when it comes to dental work. I've had some root canal work that needed doing for some time, but because I'm so stressed about it, the anaesthetic just doesn't work. Yesterday was the fourth attempt and finally we got the bugger so I'm really pleased. There's still some more work to do next week but hopefully the worst of it is now over.

Am really struggling to stay on top of the housework, just don't seem to have much energy.

Can't / anyone - got BF questions. DS2 has just turned 5 months, so got another few weeks to go of excl. BF before starting to wean. But, he's an absolute nightmare to feed - during the day he just nibble here and there, pulling off all the time (and spraying anything in range in milk!). But at night, he feeds really well - but frequently. Is this normal and a phase that will pass once we start weaning? Or is it possible that he's getting ready for eating? He can sit up, granted its only for about 30 seconds at a time before starting to slump forward, but his head control is excellent. He regularly reaches for food if its anywhere in grabbing range, and watches us eating all the time....

I'm not sure what I'm asking, I guess just looking for support to make it through the last month.

Which is kind of strange, as I'm dreading starting weaning because I love BF so much .

Sorry for selfish mega waffle - will try and do some catching up now....

NatalieJane · 25/03/2010 17:10

Hiya LaTour, good to see you, seem to remember DS2 doing something similar with BF just before weaning commenced. Have you tried him with just some water? It may be with it being a bit warmer he just want's a drink? Can't can probably give much better advice than me!

Moan alert (i.e. ignore ignore ignore)

Am sick of thoughts. Am sick of this house. Am sick of waiting for my course. Waiting to buy the stuff. Waiting to start the work properly. Waiting for the move to be over with(already!). Waiting for the packing fun to start. Waiting waiting sodding waiting. Am sick of DS1 mouthing at me. Am sick of school putting ideas into his head that are firstly mostly impossible, secondly not in the slightest way educational, thirdly costing us £££'s, fourthly expecting it all to be done the next day, never mind that we have lives and other stuff going on. Am sick of DH's work. Am sick of DS2 paddying over nothing. Am sick of being stuck at home all day. Am sick of the weather. Am sick of being so tired but not sleeping. Sick of feeling hungry but not knowing what I want to eat. Am sick of bleeding (3 weeks last time, a week off and now started again - sorry TMI) And I am sick of next door's chimney blowing smoke into my house, it's flippin' 15 degrees out there you do not need a woodburner going all day, put a bloody jumper on.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Sorry, had to get it out, could feel boiling point around the corner! Am going to go and hide tidy the kitchen, if I hear one more "It wasn't me" "it's not my fault" or scream/wail/rasied voice I think I might just explode.

Moosy · 25/03/2010 17:28

Nat your head sounds like mine at the moment! Had a major job this morning to get the house tidy ready for the EA to take his photos, it should be on line next weds/thurs and in the local paper next thursday It looks really nice now it's tidy but it's going to be relaly hard keeping it like this for viewings. Hopefully it'll sell quickly as this is a very 'desirable' village and cheap houses here are few and far between so it should get snapped up. Trouble is, if it does sell we'll be homeless! The barn still doesn't have half its windows, no doors, heating, internal walls or proper electrics or plumbing Might find ourselves all sleeping in my parents' spare room which will be absolute hell for us and them! We just have to play it by ear which I find very stressful as I am a complete control freak and need to have everything planned out. [tearing hair out frazzled emoticon]

Your house sounds great, and so big! Bet you can't wait to be in there

Good going on the weight loss Can't, and glad the appointment wasn't too bad.

LTE, has your friend thought of selling on Etsy if it's that sort of stuff? I have a friend who makes bears and sells quite a few on there, I think she uses Misi too. Sorry no advice on the BFing, I've never fed for that long before!

Gruff, Playing, Smithy, Diege, will you get a proper list going, I want to know when I can start looking out for honks!

Hi to everyone else, off to wait for DH to bring the Chinese home now, I'm starving after my busy day!

Moosy · 25/03/2010 17:32

x-posts Nat, but that's exactly how I feel now too. Sick of waiting for the barn, waiting to sell this house, waiting to move, sick of children coughing, sick of night feeds, sick of BFing but know I'll miss it as soon as I stop, sick of the mess in the house, sick of everything! I just want to fast forward to the summer when it's all over

Tell you want, lets do some primal scream therapy, ready, steady, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!

That's better

GruffaloSoldier · 25/03/2010 19:40

Hello there!

Manic day as usual! GC in bed now so I can relax (sort of).

Im pretty sure I have completlely mucked up my charting this month it reckons I havent ov'd so it's probably not going to be y month, but that's ok thogh. I will still test but will hold out for AF first.

NJ - you asked how long GC took. I stopped my pill and 6 weeks later I had my BFP so wasn't too long a wait. I know that does not mean anything for this time though so shall just see!

Sorry to hear that you are fed up, if its any consolation I am always thinking far too much about everything and get very cross with myself. Not very helpful I know but you are not alone!!

Moosy - how exciting re the house Hope it sells for you but not too soon that you are homeless!

Cant - sorry to hear youre having probs with DS hope you managed to go through with your consequences.

Diege - I have the SATC movie and quite a few series too, LOVE it If we lived closer I would lend you them!

La tour - nice to see you on here! not sure this is any help but GC could sit in high chair and was grabbing food so I would let him play around with food BLW style at 5 1/2months.He seemed ready.

Also - my mum still BF me til I was 14 months. Just go with the flow, just because you start weaning at 6 months does not mean the end of BF. Do what you and DS2 are happy with.

Right I need to get some work done but I will be lurking!

NatalieJane · 26/03/2010 08:19

Moosy, we can scream together Am actually feeling a little less sick of everything today! In fact bleating on here helped a lot, kind of made the list and I've gone through it one at a time and think we've come up with some plans! Firstly and most importantly, have decided to split the course down to sections, from the money POV, I am going to finish clearing house up for this bloody viewing later then I am going to order just what I need to finish the first 2 assignments, and then when it comes to assignments 3 and 4 it's going to depend on timing but either we'll just be able to get the rest of what I need, or we'll just get what I need for them IYKWIM? Realised as well that we'll need to buy a fridge/freezer, our's was built in at our old house, and there is a built in one here, it's free standing there and she didn't say it was staying where as she did with the cooker and she said probably the dishwasher, so we might have to get a dishwasher as well (we left ours at old house, it's built in here). Have just changed DS2's bed and spotted that one of the slats have snapped in two (that'll be the noise we heard a couple of days ago then!) so he's going to need a new bed, it's fine for now (DH is going to swap the broken slat in the middle to the foot end), but obviously needs changing asap. All just money money money! But, now I have managed to think it all through one at a time it's all a bit calmer, am just not thinking anything except the very next thing that needs doing! Like, DS1's lunch, oh the joy! And I've babbled again haven't I? Head is still slightly like a washer on a spin cycle, but it is slowing down enough for me to see what's going on every now and then!

Gruff, I know it's no bearing but if it's happened so quickly once, then it can happen again!! Can't wait for a wagon honk, it's been too long!

Right, DS's lunch, and then clearing up, have done upstairs, the boy's bathroom sink want's a wipe around no doubt because they've been up to brush their teeth, and it'll all want a quick hoover, so just down here to go...

Diege · 26/03/2010 08:37

Glad you're feeling a bit more sorted NAT . I'm happy to take the scream baton next...yes, you've guessed it, bug is back. Starting again last night with no.1 runner, ds, who has been throwing up all night, and continues to...dd2 has a tummy ache...I'm worried that dd3 will succumb before tomorrow which is The DayOut Of The Year - the Disney princess show in Liverpool that we booked months ago. I am truly sick of this sickness; never known anything like it in 8 years of having children. Think it may be because all 4 are in different places in the day, plus me and dh's jobs, so between us we're had it. Also stressing about work as having ds off nursery on my wfh day (Thurs) isn't working out that great. Need to make lots of calls at the moment, and of course not everyone's available to talk in nap times...
On the plus side, really enjoyed Sex In the City movie last night!
So occupying wagon screampod at the moment - will be back when I can!

tinkstoddleriswalking · 26/03/2010 10:22

NatalieJane · 26/03/2010 10:54

Oi Madam Diege, I've not finished with it yet, you'll just have to squeeze in next to me and Moosy! Bloody stupid bloody waste of time people, woman isn't coming to see the house, she's found another (sometime between yesterday afternoon and 9.30 this morning ) only thought to let us know once I'd nearly bloody finished the tidying, wouldn't mind if it had have been in a mess before I started, but it wasn't it was perfectly fine as it was.... and of course that means that she won't have the house, which means we're back on track for another phone call about someone coming to view... It's gone on the website today so no doubt people will be pouncing.

Ah sod it, it's time, and I'm going to eat every single last one of them, then grump for the rest of the day because they don't taste like wine God that's bad isn't it? Even though it's Friday, quarter to eleven in the morning is not a good time to start thinking about wine!

Sorry for poorly boy again Diege, think we've got one here as well, DS3, he's been coughing all morning and is now asleep, but he's all wheezy, bless him, sounds like Darth Vader.

Tink, good Tesco shop! Enjoy your games

Diege · 26/03/2010 12:33

Nooooo NAT, that's unbelievable . I bet she was waiting to see if she had this other house, and in the meantime setting up other viewings (bet you're not the only one in post-cleaning breakdown). Then she gets the call at close of business yesterday...yes, can see it all now...
Def a moment, or maybe cake??? Managed to eat a whole tub of those choc cornflake cakes yesterday, but on scasles this morning had lost another 2 pounds - v.odd, but just seeing it as a blip and getting back on SW wagon.
Ds has bad diarreah (sp?) now - not amused - and is asleep now after a brief walk out with dd3 to feed the ducks. I'm just giving him baby juice, but wondered if he should be having rehydrating sachets, or if sugary fluids are enough if he's keeping them down??

tinkstoddleriswalking · 26/03/2010 13:12

oh no nat!!!! definetly go fo the biccies

i have been eating way too much choccy!!

received anne geddes diary and calender in the post all organised now

GruffaloSoldier · 26/03/2010 14:54

Afternoon all!

Diege - I should think the juice should suffice if he is keeping it down and its only been happening since today?? How is his fontanelle? Im sure its fine. Would he drink just water?

NJ - sorry to hear about the woman pulling out of the house but hopefully you will get someone else soon. it doesnt affect you getting out of the tenancy anyway does it?

Tink- there is not much to look at re my chart - well and truly ballsed it up pardon the expression . I havent been able to temp everyday and also have had to use temp corrector because of different waking times -argh!! hopefully nxt month will be better and youre more than welcome to have a gander at that!

hello to anyone Ive missed- quiet on here today!

NatalieJane · 26/03/2010 15:44

Am calm, have just ordered what I need, well what I need, and a bit more Only got the printer, the furniture and the remaining text books to go - poor DH Figured I needed to stop worrying about it and just get on with it! Am just about to go and place the big order with the NDA, am going to have to phone it in, so I am waiting to get over my little excitment flutters before I ring else I'll not be able to talk without sounding like a chimpmunk on helium

Diege, I'm sure just the juice for now will be fine, you are better off sticking with juice, the sugars help to keep him hydrated, and if you think he may be getting dehydrated, put a tea spoon of sugar in it, I know, can you imagine the fit the dentist would have?! Poor DS1 when he was 2/3 (birthday week, he actually woke up in hospital on his 3rd borthday!) he had that thing that I can't spell (or even say actually!) gastrosomethingorother, he was seriously dehydrated by the end of the first week, the hospital told us about the sugar thing, the poor thing, will never forget, on the hospital's advice we were pouring this juice down him that was thick with sugar (he had a table spoon in his!), and almost as soon as it went down... well it either carried on going down, or came back up. Lovely! Hope J isn't feeling too bad.

Gruff, no, it doesn't effect our moving date or anything, it's just that 'being on call' waiting for someone to come and inspect your house thing I don't like. Didn't like it when we were selling our place, like it even less since this house will have nothing to do with us once we've handed the keys in.

Ohhhh, now am excited about the new house, had lost that while worrying about the course! It's HUGE!!!! Flippin' 'eck, now I'll not be able to ring for even longer....

Diege · 26/03/2010 15:56

Ooh thanks so much NAT and GRUFF . Am reassured by the sugar thing NAT. He's downing that quite nicely, and while the diareoah keeps coming, it is lessening in quantity and thickening up nicely . I've been so brave as to try a few spoons of baby rice made up with water (bleughh) and that's stayed down too. I've put him up for a nap now as he was screaming blue murder, and figured he'd be better off up there out of earshot than down here. have just checked and he's fast asleep.
Of we can just get to tomorrow without anyone else being poorly, that's all I can ask for. Poor dd3 would be devastated if our promised trip is cancelled. Part of my 'doing something with each of them individually' promised I made to myself when I wanted a big family. So it's pizza express, followed by ride on new big wheel in waterfront, then disney show. Older dds have much promised trip to NannyMcphee 2 on Tues, along with school friend!
NAT, can I be stalkerish and ask myself over when you're settled in just to have a nosy round? Of course piccies on profile would do too It does sound an amazing place!
TINKS, diary sounds good - any tips for a hugemungess calander that can accomodate a family of 6?
GRUFF, I have decided you need to get the ball rolling with The List. I'm waiting...

NatalieJane · 26/03/2010 16:33

Hopefully he is getting over the worst of it then, fingers crossed for tomorrow, sound's like it will be a good day for all if the poorlies stay away. And yes, come see my new house, am quite willing to invite every single person I have ever met/spoken to (even including cock heads at Debenhams, and car sales men!) so I'll let you in! We could have a wagon meet up in one of the 17 rooms (Did I tell you all it has 17 rooms?!!! ) Where we are now has a grand total of 8 rooms, it's more than double the ammount! Am so excited! TBF not all of them are big but even just having separate rooms for separate things is going to be great!

Am a bit when I was ordering the stuff before, the first time I used my card it wouldn't work, tried again and it didn't work, ordered from Amazon and ArtDiscount no problems with it (I know there is money in the account BTW, DH checked it this morning), so decided the shop I was trying to order from was having problems, so found all the stuff I was ordering at Complete Office Supplies, ordered it from there no problems, I've just rang the NDA to place the order, and she's just rang me back to say the card was declined again (and of course ) Like I said, I know the money is there, think DH is going to have to ring the bank and find out what's wrong with the card. GRRRR!

Knew I was doing too well with all the ordering!

tinkstoddleriswalking · 26/03/2010 16:40

oh what a pain nat - hope u get bits ordered

i am getting eyebrows tidyied up tomorrow have been waiting to get them done for ages!!

then popping in next to swap a tshirt
then relaxing

GruffaloSoldier · 26/03/2010 16:47

LOL NJ - I did actually realise that once Id posted. of course thats a nightmare re having to wait about for impending viewings, especially as its not really going to have an "effect" on you and your moving!oh well you will soon be Lady NJ of the Manor and all this larking around with tidying and cancelled viewings will be all but a distant memory

Diege - I didnt realise that about the juice so apologies for suggesting the water I just assumed anything but water would be a dieretic (sp?)

Oh and as you asked so nicely {grin]....

Tink, sound's like you have a nice day planned too DH is working tomorrow morning, and after that, nothing planned, if weather is good will probably go for a ramble round the park or something, if weather crap, might make a start on the packing, don't really need to yet but what ever we get done now won't need doing later I suppose!

Gruff, oooooh a list! Think Lady NJ or the Manor may just be pushing it a bit, as lovely as it is it's only a 3 bed semi that's been tarted up! Tarted up very well even if I do say so myself, but far from a Manor! Actually for all my bleating about 17 rooms (did I mention that? 17!!!!) I would hate to live in a proper big house, think there is a line between a home and a series of rooms.

NatalieJane · 26/03/2010 17:31

Am cross again now, DH rang Barclays, they needed to speak to me because it's my card (even though it's a joint account ) they said they blocked the card because there have been a few internet purchases today, which is bollocks, they blocked the first try and most days weeks I've used it at least once , then for some reason they let the next ones through that add up together to around £250, then they block a £3.30 Amazon one, again £3.30???, and then I can understand why the blocked the NDA it was huge, but why let the others go through? I think they just like taking the piss TBH! So now, I have to try and work out which ones it's blocked and which ones it hasn't then re-order it all, NDA is obviously closed for the weekend now, am seriously proper cross now! Some 17 year old pimply teenager (or at least he sounded like it) telling me I'd used my card too much, one the first flippin' go grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

And breathe.....!

Diege · 26/03/2010 18:28

That is really naughty of them NAT . After all, it's your money! Similar has happended to me, a few times actually ; apparently 'unexpected activity' makes them block the card, which is usually based on very little actual knowledge of said cardholder - certainly the case with us, lol.
Oh and before I forget (thanks Gruff, bullying always works
