Hi, I am new to this thread as only just discovered it and wanted to ask you all a little question. I'm due on the 1st of July but was wondering if any of you have had any pain under your ribs on the right hand side at the front at all- seems to be worse when sitting down? Not sure if it is just a pulled muscle or something. Thanks Gina

kkfairybrains · 11/03/2010 11:21

welcome gina! yeah i get the same on the left hand side.can be very sore and uncomfortable! dunno whwt it is thoughbut think it could just be everything squashed up?
glad ur getting mout this afternoon dh. nothing worse than expecting to be meeting people and then get let down and then being stuck in the house.depressing!
stac got 2 pictures.one of them is a bit crap its hard to make out and the 3d one is just class! dp was asking me last night did i put up the picture for my internet friends! i said no cos i dont know how and he said its simple so i'l try and get him to help me do it at some stage! wait til ya see it tho its unreal! my brothers girlfriend started crying when she saw it!
was very sick last night but think it was cos i was stuck in the car all day.after scan i went car shopping with dp and was in the car for about 8 hours altogether so whwn i got home and had something to eat i felt crap and like i was gonna collapse and then just got sick loads! feel perfect after my nights sleep though so its not all bad!

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/03/2010 11:32

Hi gina Ive had this, ive been complaining about it on this thread lol. It doesnt feel like a pulled muscle to me though it feels more like Ive eaten alot and theres no room for it all inside and it makes that exact spot you described hurt, like an ache.

kk yeah Im glad to be getting out, thought 2mo I might go to the library and see what books they have on pregnancy.

stac14 · 11/03/2010 12:56

kkfairy sounds like babys telling you, you have overdone it lol. Glad your ok now. Did you get a new car? Defo get the 3d pic on so we can see. Wish i had went for 3d now.

Welcome gina sounds like stretching pains, baby is pushing everything upwards. You can call your mw if your worried but i doubt you have anything to worry about.

dh thats good your getting out, highlight of my day is going to the dentist lmao think i'l get a new preggo mag, you put me in the mood talking bout the books haha

My sleep pattern is crap at the mo, couldnt sleep last night totally knackered. Also just noticed we're heading towards the end of the thread again, are we changing the name? What bout something to do with heading towards the 3rd trimester? I'm nearly 22wks anyone elses baby giving off lots of kicks?

mlic just as well you posted that bout the stretch marks, i have had mine that long they have been silver for year totally forgot they start pink. I dont know how anymore will fit on my tum from ds

chulita whats happened with cons?

OP posts:
Jojobil · 11/03/2010 13:22

I used bio oil the first time round and had horrid stretch marks anyway.... I think it's nothing to do with oil. If you'll get them you'll get them. Drinking lots of water and oil helps a little bit. I'm using a rose oil as read that rose and lavender is good for you when you are pregnant The rib pain is normal, so is a bum pain or any pelvic pain.. The baby expends, the bones soften. Oh well. We are nearly in the 3rd trimester girls!!! I will be 24 weeks on Tuesday.

Jojobil · 11/03/2010 13:23

Forgive me for my typo's it's pregnancy brain! I meant expands...

Hi all,

thanks for letting me join the club

i don't know what i am having yet, although, I suspect that it is a boy. Although the only reason I think this is that I have two brothers and no sister!!

very exciting about everything at the moment. DP and I are on our final holiday abroad alone this weekend can't wait for some sun!

Chulita · 11/03/2010 13:52

mlic and stac, she just said I can't labour at home, I can't have a water labour/birth, I have to have constant monitoring, I have to have a canula pre-fitted just in case, I can't wander about while labouring (I can pace around the bed as long as the monitor leads will reach), I have to come in as soon as I start to labour - it's pissed me right off
Hello pitchy!

Jojobil · 11/03/2010 14:02

Chulita Bloody hell. She could have tried to make you feel more comfortable. That sucks... I had that with my first labour. They did not even let me go to the bathroom... The good news is that there is a lot you can do on or around the bed! My yoga teacher has been showing me. It would be worth while to look on the internet. ;)

memphis83 · 11/03/2010 14:07

i agree with jojo with stretch marks that you will either get them or not, my mum did nothing and got none and my sister spent every spare penny on cream and 18 years on her belly still looks crepey! but it is nice to treat yourself to nice cream, boots do a lovely sanctuary mum to be oil and cream they are both lovely!
hi gina i think it is a case of everything being squashed, i have a really long body but when i had heart scan my lungs and stomach were still all squashed up.
stac LO is always kicking me mostly when dh tickles my belly or when i have something on my belly like im invading his space!
dh didnt get home again last night again due to an accident at work holding them up so i cried like a baby used to love the house to myself but now i hate it!...hormones!

stac14 · 11/03/2010 14:09

chulita why they being so strict with you? She could have been a bit nicer to you x

OP posts:
Chulita · 11/03/2010 14:10

Pish to frolicking on the bed, (and I'm not googling 'bed frolicking' for any money! ) DH wandered out and reminded me that she won't be at the birth so really whatever she says can go in one ear and out the other. The midwife actually told me to labour at home for as long as possible so who do you listen to? They can't force you to do anything so if I want to wander the corridor groaning I'm going to freaking well do it! (ok, I'll try and be safe and if LO needs to be ripped out of me so be it)

very jealous of your holiday pitchy! you lucky thing! we'r thinking of going to turkey in september but not going to book anything til LO arrives and we see what kind of a baby we have!
stac no dp got a car! he's constantly buying and selling cars and making a few pound on them and he got this one cheap so he'l probably sell it in a few weeks.i have the same car the last 2 years and i love it but think im going to have to change it! its a 3 door so wil have to try and get rid of it and get a more suitable model! was thinking maybe a honda accord as their quite stylish too.im very into my cars!
all this talk of going in to 3rd trimester is scary! im 24 weeks tomorrow! only 16 weeks til we have a real living baby all of our own!

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/03/2010 16:26

mylife yeah it was me asking about the stretch marks, still not sure I am getting them it just looked a bit like it last night after Id eaten but then I do get really huge after I eat dinner, even DP said I was looking bigger last night, now its shrunk back to its normal size lol.

jojo Im not even 22 weeks yet! Im nowhere near the 3rd trimester lol.

stac14 · 11/03/2010 16:55

should we make a new thread?? any name ideas? we have ploughed through this one lol

kkfairy I would love a new car just not feasible at the moment, i got the maxicosi with the easibase, it just clicks in and out maybe you could stick with your won car but get one of them

lmao chulita your so right its your labour are you having a vbac?

dh mine does the same, sometimes I look really pregnant other times you wouldnt know it was there lol

OP posts:
DesperateHousewife21 · 11/03/2010 17:32

stac Im really sad and have watched pregnancy timelines on youtube (I know Im SO sad) and people of similar body shape to me seem to really show and really pop out around 24-25 weeks, so I think in a couple of weeks there will def be no hiding it at all. (Im judging this on first timers like me lol)

stac14 · 11/03/2010 18:08

dh i was a size 8 when i fell pregnant with ds, i didnt show till bout 5 months this time i was bout 19wks probs cause my tummy muscles are slack from ds lol x

OP posts:
DesperateHousewife21 · 11/03/2010 18:10

Yeah stac Im a size 8, well I was lol, I am showing but Im not enormous (yet) Im sure it'll be a different story with my next.

kkfairybrains · 11/03/2010 18:35
