stac i have a blood disorder that is controlled by meds but as im pregnant ive had to come off them so this could effect my heart during pregnancy and birth my heart has been constantly between 100-120bpm even when asleep so just keeping an eye on it, this disorder could have caused heart defects in baby but his heart is fine so its a small price to pay! i got told as a teen i would never be able to concieve, and at 6 weeks they found i had an ectopic twin that 'dispersed' that landed me in hospital so this baby is a real miracle!!! phew! its a complicated one but the hospital have been amazing!

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/03/2010 19:13

The mw took my blood pressure earlier and she said it was fine so if there was anything wrong with me Im sure it would flag up.

Got my next app in 4 weeks time on 7th April, they are getting closer together now! Its going so fast

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/03/2010 19:25

Also, this might sound like a silly question but how do you know if your about to get stretch marks, or is there no way of telling? I was just admiring my bump of the sofa and saw what I thought might be the beginnings of stretch marks, Ive never had them before and only seen pics of quite large ones so Im not too sure.

Emster30 · 10/03/2010 19:47

Evening all. Welcome pitchy!

Had a lovely afternoon out with my friend yesterday, I treated her to a lovely lunch for her 30th and then we went shopping at Westfield. I got a few nice bits of maternity clothes in the Mamas and Papas sale. My upper back was absolutely killing by the time I got home. Today both my upper and my lower back are really stiff, sore and achy - not nice! I adjusted my chair at work and borrowed a footrest but it was so nice to get home and collapse on the sofa...

GlastonburyGoddess · 10/03/2010 20:11

Congrats to all those who?ve had their scans. I?m very tempted by the 3d ones they do at Yeovil hospital for £65 but I don?t know, part of me thinks now I don?t know the sex I should just wait and see.hmm?

Went to the car boot sale last Sunday and picked up quite a few little bargains including a boppy pad feeding pillow for £2, excellent! A lameeze woozit and lameeze crib border activity thing, both for 20p!!! And some beautiful French outfits with ribbon ties at the sides (like I had when I was a baby!)
I think even if I had loads of money I couldn?t buy everything brand new, I love my carboots and bargain hunting too much!

Spd has not been too bad this last week, haven?t used the crutches yet as don?t feel as bad as I did. I?m wondering if something has moved back into place and stayed as this is probably the best I?ve felt for over a month or so, either that or its brief respite before it gets unbearable!

Have had a fairly stressful week as Have been told redundancy may be on the cards, maybe being the main word here. Would rather know one way or another but won?t know for probably another 2weeks, couldn?t have come at a worse time! Highly stressful but I can?t do anything about it other than sit tight and wait and see.

Hope everyone?s having a nice week x

GlastonburyGoddess · 10/03/2010 20:25

lol forgot to add-did anyone see the piece in the papers about the bunny handler? here
Im trying to persuade dp to sign up for the auditions!!

stac14 · 10/03/2010 20:27

dh dont think there is anything wrong with you hun, everything moves to make room for the baby. Stretch marks start off silvery squigly lines, they say you should use bio oil or palmers cocoa butter to help prevent them. Pity i wasnt told that withs ds i have loads. Hopefully this one wonts add to them lol

glaston must admit not a big fan of car boots but love bargain hunting, and sales. Glad spd isnt to bad. Thats rubbish about redundancy, hate it when the leave you waiting about

emster sounds like a lovely day, back pain is crap i seem to be getting it more and more too

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/03/2010 20:58

stac these marks are more tiny red squiggly lines on either side of my bump. I guess time will tell if they are I know they are unavoidable so will just have to live with them.

memphis83 · 10/03/2010 21:00

glasto i love bargain hunting in shops but car boots are scary places where i live they dive in head 1st for the bargains but then again maybe thats where the bump comes in handy when you can bump people out the way!! stac i have only ever wanted one dh has always wanted 2 but hopefully all this has made him see we are lucky to have 1

beckyg123 · 10/03/2010 21:08

lol MLIC I was thinking exactly that on my way back round Might even need to arrange online shopping for a while! I am just so forgetful and seem to spend my life in tesco and asda! No one ever taught me how to do a proper weekly shop! Glad to hear you are feeling brighter today- i have been having the odd low day and i really hate them as they are so extreme!

Glaston Good for you- some great bargains there!!! hmmm... seems like good money for holding a rabbit

I haven't started using anything special for stretch marks- my weight has fluctuated greatly since i was a teenager so have some stretch marks anyway! maybe i should use something so as not to make it worse- do you think regular moisturisers/e45 would work as well or does it have to be the bio oil/cocoa butter stuff?

memphis sounds like you are going through a lot for this LO! He'll be so extra special to you

viksam · 10/03/2010 21:15

Hey Guys, my god, i turn my back for a day or two and the thread just runs away with its self.
memphis gosh, amazing, im sure u feel blessed.
I feel like I actually am starting to enjoy being pregnant now. I really like feeling the baby moving and my terrible anxiety sems to have subsided which im pleased about.
So some of you guys have started antenatal clesses then, or have i misunderstood. I dont have a MW appointement for a few weeks untill wk25 and she said I could book up then, i hope she is right coz i want to book up for everything i can. I sent off for the info about the NTC classes but at £189 I cant justify the cost at the moment, not given that the baby hasnt even got a place to sleep yet!! glasto I like a rummage through a car boot to, where do u go? There is a NCT sale in Yeovil on the sat 24th April, I'll be going to look for bargains there too!

beckyg123 · 10/03/2010 21:19

viksam just started antenatal exercise classes at local hospital. its not the actual antenatal classes, don't think they start til may!

GlastonburyGoddess · 10/03/2010 21:25

whereabouts in yeovil is the nct sale? car boot we go to is cheddar-best around for miles!

kkfairybrains · 10/03/2010 21:33

hi all! glad to hear LO is healthy and happy chulita.i had my scan today too and it was nice! feel a bit let down by it though for some reason! wasn't as exciting as the last one but it was lovely! my consultant just does the normal scan and he does the 3d from the same machine so got a lovely picture of LO face! you can see eveything on it and the little arm too! really nice and we'r debating all day who it s/he looks like! didnt find out the sex as we dont want to know but he never even offered to tell us!

viksam · 10/03/2010 21:36

Glasto its at Abbey manor somewhere, I'll have to check, its a while away yet, I'll let you know. Did you sort out the hospital ur under? I got consultants at Yeovil tomorrow, on my day off!! At 9am, im an idiot!! I think im going to have a 3D scan at Yeovil £65 is good i think and i would like my sister and my best friend to come in too. I dont want to know what we are having, do people think its too risky??
Ohhh exercise classes, thats ok then, wish i was that motivated!!work is just taking up way too much time as well. I actually dont think i have slowed down at all so far and Im really starting to feel the need to. I was out at 5.50am this morning and got in at 7.30, a long day me thinks, not good really.

flexab23 · 10/03/2010 22:12

Stac, Chulita & KK well done on your scans - lots of secretive babies! I couldn't take it and would be straight on the phone to book the 3D scan. Can't wait to hear your news after Sat Stac!! Glasto that rabbit looks well freaky and 4 ft!!! woah danger money! Made me laugh tho which is much needed after feeling like everything was getting on top of me recently. Viksam I know what you mean and I have decided that work can just be grateful for the work they get out of me in the last 3 (count 'em) months. I go on leave from 14th June and then officially start my mat leave on 1st July as I don't trust our HR people not to f* up my pay if I change things part way though a month!

Thanks for your lovely messages. My nana's funeral is on Tues so I'll be in Yeovil (wish it was to have a 3D scan not for real reason) without DH which is a bit horrid. On the house front we are seeing a really nice one on Monday and got a good feeling so not feeling as sorry for myself as last week thank goodness...still have mastered writing short posts though!

I really look forward to seeing my friends as it gets me out my flat, its such a grey horrible day here today and I really dont feel motivated to just go out by myself and I get soooo irritable if im stuck indoors all day Im feeling sorry for myself now.
